1 Agirphphay Phawulossa “ne ne gish hasa7anas dandda7assa) gides. Phawulossaykka ba kushe denthidi malththe hizgi immides.
And Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth his hand, and made his defence:
2 “Kawoo Agirphpha! tana Ayhudati moootiza yoo wursisos hach ta ne sinththan tana maadana malththe immiza gish tana daroo ufayses.
I think myself happy, king Agrippa, that I am to make my defence before thee this day touching all the things whereof I am accused by the Jews:
3 Gasoyka ne Ayhudata wogane istta palama wursia looetha errasa; Hessa gish ne ta giza wursia dandda7ada siyana mala ta nena wosays.
especially because thou art expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
4 “Tani guuththa nateththa wodeppe oykkada waana deydakko Ayhuda asati erretes. Koyrope ha7i gakkanaas ta ta dere asa gidoonine Yerusalamen ta deyda duussu asay erres.
My manner of life then from my youth up, which was from the beginning among mine own nation, and at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
5 Qassekka istti markkatana koykko nu ammano gish ta keha minththa woga naggiza Parsawe bagga gidada gamm7idade gididayssa istti koyrope denththidi erretes.
having knowledge of me from the first, if they be willing to testify, how that after the straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
6 Ha7i qasse pirdas tana hayssan essiday Xoossi kasse nu aawatas immida caaqqo qaala uhaaththaayssa gishaskko.
And now I stand [here] to be judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers;
7 Ha uhaaththaayssako gakkanaas nu zarkketi taammane namm7ati Xoossa gaallasine qamma goyinnishe naggida. Kawo nees too! takka Ayhudati tana mootizay ha yoza gishaskko.
unto which [promise] our twelve tribes, earnestly serving [God] night and day, hope to attain. And concerning this hope I am accused by the Jews, O king!
8 Xoossi hayqqidayta denththanayssi wannidi Ayhuda gidida inte achchan ammanetibeyne?
Why is it judged incredible with you, if God doth raise the dead?
9 Takka ta baggara Nazirete Yesussa sunththa eqqistanas beses gada qoppadis shin;
I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
10 Tani Yerusalamen ooththidaykka hessakoshin; Qeessista hallaqqatape ta ekkida godateththara ammanizaytape daroota qasho keeththan yegiissadis; istta wodhdhishin wodhdhizaytara isfe days.
And this I also did in Jerusalem: and I both shut up many of the saints in prisons, having received authority from the chief priests, and when they were put to death, I gave my vote against them.
11 Daro wode Ayhudata wossa keethati dizason awankka istti qaaxxayistana malanne ba ammano kadana mala ooththadis; Istta bolla daro hanqqistadakka Isra7eleppe karen diza hara kaatamatakka baada ammanizayta goodadis.
And punishing them oftentimes in all the synagogues, I strove to make them blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto foreign cities.
12 “Hayssa ha yoozas Qeessista hallaqatappe kummetha godateththine azazo ekkada dammasqqo gizaso ta bishin;
Whereupon as I journeyed to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests,
13 Kawoo nes too! Buroo ta ogen dishin gadey seeta gallas gidishin awa arshe poo7oppe adhdhiza poo7o beyadis; He poo7oy tanane tanara biza asata yuuy adhdhidi salope po7ides.
at midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them that journeyed with me.
14 Nu wurkka biita bolla kundidishin Ayhudata qaalara (Sawulle! Sawulle! tana aazas goddazi? Neni qara maashsha bolla eqqiikko nerkka nena qohasa) giza qaala siyadis.
And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice saying unto me in the Hebrew language, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the goad.
15 Takka (Godo! ne oonne?) Gadis; Godaykka (Ta ne Goda Yesussako!
And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
16 Ha7i denddada ne toon eqqa; ta nes qoncciday ne tana ha7i beyidaysanine sinththafe ta nena beessanayssan ne tas markkatizade gidana mala ta nena shuumana koyadis.
But arise, and stand upon thy feet: for to this end have I appeared unto thee, to appoint thee a minister and a witness both of the things wherein thou hast seen me, and of the things wherein I will appear unto thee;
17 Isra7ele asa kushepene ta nena isttakko kittiza Ayhuda gidoontta dere asata kusheppekka ashshana.
delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom I send thee,
18 Ne istta ayfe doyana malane dhumape poo7on kessana mala qassekka xalla7es harettizasope Xoossakko ne zaarana mala ooththana; isttikka tana ammanida gish ba nagarappe marettana qasse dorettidayta giddon istti laata gade demana) gidees.
to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.
19 “Hessa gish kawoo Agirphpha! Salope tas immetida ajjutas ta azazettadis.
Wherefore, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
20 Gido attin ta kassistada Dammasqqon diza asa kaaliethada Yerussalamenine Yuhuda deren wursion dizayta qassekka Ayhuda gidoontta deretikka nagare ogeppe Xoossakko simmidi maretna mala erisadis. Istti nagarappe simmidayssa beessizayssa ooththana mala ta isttas yootadis.
but declared both to them of Damascus first, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judaea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.
21 Hessa gaason Ayhudati ta Xoossa keeththan dishin tana oykkidi wodhdhana koyda.
For this cause the Jews seized me in the temple, and assayed to kill me.
22 Hachch gakkanaaskka tas Xoossafe maadoy pacci errena. Hesa gish guuththaskka gitaskka markkatashe hayssan eqqadis. Nabetinne Mussey kassetidi hayssa malay hanana gidayssa yootope attin ta hara aykkokka yootabeykke.
Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand unto this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses did say should come;
23 Isttikka yootidaysi (Xoossi kittidadey meto beeyana, hayqqope denddon koyro gididi, asi attana poo7o Isra7ele deresinne Isra7ele nayta gidontta deretas qonccana) gizayssakko.”
how that the Christ must suffer, [and] how that he first by the resurrection of the dead should proclaim light both to the people and to the Gentiles.
24 Phawulossay hessa yootishin Fisxxossay “Phawulossa! ha7i ne gooyyontta aggakka; ne daro taamaridayssi nena goshshides” gi wassides.
And as he thus made his defence, Festus saith with a loud voice, Paul, thou art mad; thy much learning doth turn thee to madness.
25 Phawulossay gidikko izas hizzgi zaarides “boncho Fisxxossa! ta nes tuma erada yootayss attin goyabeyke.
But Paul saith, I am not mad, most excellent Festus; but speak forth words of truth and soberness.
26 Ta iza sinththan qonccera yootida kawooy hayssa yooza erres; hayssikka qootara ooththetonttayssa gidida gish kawooy erranayssa ta ammanetayss.
For the king knoweth of these things, unto whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things is hidden from him; for this hath not been done in a corner.
27 Kawoo Agirphpha! nabeta ammanasa gidikki? ne ammanizayssa ta errayss.”
King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
28 Agirphphaykka Phawulossa “Hekko ne tana hanno guuththa wode garssan ammanthana koyasa” gides.
And Agrippa [said] unto Paul, With but little persuasion thou wouldest fain make me a Christian.
29 Phawulossakka izas zaaridi “guuththa woden gidinkka woykko daro woden ne xalla gidontta dishin hach ta yootidayssa siday wuri hanno ta qachcheteththia atta wurikka ta mala gidana mala ta Xoossa wossayss” gides.
And Paul [said], I would to God, that whether with little or with much, not thou only, but also all that hear me this day, might become such as I am, except these bonds.
30 Hessafe guye kawooy, dere ayssizaysi, Barnqanne isttara uttida asaykka wuri denddides.
And the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:

and when they had withdrawn, they spake one to another, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

And Agrippa said unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
