< 1 Ximttoossa 4 >
1 Wode wurssetha bolla issi issi asay ammano aggidi baalethiza ayanatane iita ayana timirtte kaallanayssa xiillo ayanay qonccera yootes.
Now the Spirit saith expressly, that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,
2 Hessa mala timirttey istta qofay bonqqo biratan xuugettida mala geellatethan dooccida qoodhepe qoommon haniza wordancha asatape yaana.
through the hypocrisy of speakers of lies, who bear a brand on their own conscience,
3 He asati asay ekkontta malane gelontta mala diiggana. Ammanizaytine tuma shaakki eriza asay xoossay medhdhida kath galatarakka ekkizayti moontta mala digganane azazana.
forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from food which God created to be received with thanksgiving, for those who believe and know the truth.
4 Xoossi medhdhiday wurikka lo7o. Asi galatara ekkiko wora wodhdhizay issinakka baawa.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving;
5 Wurikka Xoossa qaalanine woosan geeyana.
for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 Hayssa ha azazooza ammaniza asa ne qoofisikko, ammano qaalanine ne ekkiida loo7o timirttezan miinada Yesuss Kiristtoossa loo7o oothancha gidanddassa.
If thou lay these things before the brethren, thou wilt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good teaching, with which thou art well acquainted.
7 Xoossu bonchisontta go7ay bayindda hayssu7eppene cima maaccashshata hayssu7eppe haakkada tuma ayana oothos ne asatetha giiggissa.
But avoid the profane and old wives' fables; and exercise thyself unto godliness.
8 Asatetha asho ogen dosiisoy guutha wodes go7es shin tumu ayana duussas bena tamarssoy gidikko hayssa ha alamezassine buro yaana duussas ufayssi diza gish wurssos go7es.
For bodily exercise is profitable for little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 Hayssi ha qaalay ammanettidayssane wurssi ekkanas beessiza qaalakko.
True is the saying, and worthy of all acceptance.
10 Nu hessas giidi dafettoossine daabuross. Hessikka asa wurssos harapekka ammanizaytas ashiza deyo Xoossan nu ufayss oothiza gishshaskko.
For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we have placed our hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of believers.
11 Hayta yoota azazanne tamarsa.
These things command and teach.
12 Ne yelagatetha oonikka kadhdhopo; gido attin ne hasa7an, ne duussan, siiqoon, ammanon, geeshshatethanine ammanizaytas loo7o leemuso gida.
Let no one despise thy youth, but become an example to the believers, in word, in behavior, in love, in faith, in purity.
13 Ta he baana gakkanaas qaal nabbabanas, zoranasine tamarsanas miinna.
Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
14 Cimati ne bolla ba kushe woththi woosishin, sinththafe hananayssi nees immettida imotetha lep histta aggoofa.
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Asi wuri ne diichcha beeyana mala ha yoota lo7etha miinthada dandda7an pola.
Meditate on these things, give thyself wholly to them; that thy progress may be manifest to all.
16 Ne duussa giishshine ne tamarsiza timirtezas naagetta, haytan miinna. Ne hessa oothiko nenane ne gizayssa siyizayta ashshana.
Give heed to thyself, and to thy teaching; continue in them; for in doing this thou wilt save both thyself and them that hear thee.
