1 Nuus ufayss gidida yesus kiristtoossaninne nuna ashshida Xoossa azazon, Yesuss kiristtoossay kiittida Phawuloossape.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

2 Ammanon taas tumu naa gidida Ximttoossas Xoossa nu Aawape nu Goda Yesus kiristtoossape kiyateth, maarotethine saroy nees gido.

Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

3 Tani Maqqidonyya bashe nena hadara gida mala hayssafe sinththan issi issi asati wordo timirtte tamarssontta mala ne azazana mala Efesoonen daasha.

As I besought you to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that you might charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

4 Qassekka asay yootin wurontta beni wode hayssu7en ba wode wurssontta mala azaza. Heyta mala yooy palama denthethes atin ammanon oothetiza xoossa oothos aykkoka go7ena.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

5 Ha azazoozas waana ayfe yooy gidikko geeshsha wozinape loo7o qofara hessathoka tumu ammanope beettiza siiqo.

Now the end of the commandment is love (agape) out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith sincere:

6 Issi issi asay haytape pooqqeti eqqidi go7ay bayndda yootakko simmides.

From which some having miss the mark have turned aside unto vain arguments;

7 Woga tamarssizayta gidana mala koyetes. Gidikkoka istti ba yootizayssa woykko keehi moottetiza yooza lo7ethi ereetena.

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

8 Gido attin asi maaran goetizakko wogay lo7o gididayssa nu eroos.

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

9 Qassekka wogay immetiday xiillo asas gidontta woga yedhdhi aadhdhizaytas, azazetonttaytas, Xoossas babbonttaytass, nagaranchatas, geeshshateth bayinddaytas, Xoossu leeqqizaytas, ba Aayone ba Aawa wodhdhizaytasine shemppo wodhdhizaytas gididayssa nu eroos.

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10 Hessathokka laymmatizaytas, addera aqqiza addistas, ase bayzizaytasine shaammizaytas, wordanchatas, asatas wordora caaqqizaytas, loo7o timirttera eqqettiza wurssootaskko.

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for men-stealers (slave traders, kidnappers), for liars, for promise breakers, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

11 He loo7o timirttey anjjetida Xoossi taas hadara immida boncho miishshirachcho qaalara gaaggizayssako.

According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

12 Tana ba oothos shuumidine ammanetizade oothi ekkidine taas miinoteth immida nu Goda Yesuss Kiristtoossa ta galatayss.

And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

13 Hayssafe kase ta ay mala ase cayizzadene goodeththizade, qasse makkali7a as gidikkoka hessa ta eroonttane ammanontta dashe oothida gish Xoossi tana maarides.

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and prone to cause hurt: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

14 Yesuss Kiristtoossape gidida ammanorane siiqora nu Goda kiyatethi taas keezi darides.

And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love (agape) which is in Christ Jesus.

15 Yesuss Kiristtossay nagaranchata ashshanaas duge hayssa ha alame yides giza qaalay tumane asi wurkka ekkanas bessizayssako. Nagaranchatapekka aadhdhiza nagaranchay tanako.

This is a faithful saying, (logos) and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

16 Gido attin ta maaretidaykka Yesuss Kiristtoossay zaway bayindda ba dandda7a, wurssofe aadhdhida nagarancha gidida ta bolla beessiday izan ammananaytasine medhina deyo deemmanaytas leemuso gidana malako. (aiōnios g166)

Nevertheless for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)

17 Hessa gish medhinas hayqqi eroontta, ayhaaththaen beeti eroontta berkka xaalla Xoossu gidida kawoos medhdhinape medhdhina gakkanaas izas bonchoyine galatay gido. Ammiinn77i. (aiōn g165)

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

18 Ta naa Ximttosa ne gish kasetidi yootettida mala hayssa azazoza ta nees immadis. Hessikka ne he qaala kaalashe loo7o baaxe baaxistanasskko.

This charge I commit unto you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on you, that you by them might war a good warfare;

19 Ammanoyine loo7o qofay nees deyo. Issi issi asati ba loo7o qofa yeedhdhi adhdhidi abba bolla metoy iza bolla gakkin waayetiza markkabe mala ba ammano dhayiissida.

Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

20 Istta giidon xoossa caashsh aggidi tamarana mala tani xalaes aatha immidayti Nemenewoossayine Iskkinddirossay deetes.

Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
