Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, unto the chosen pilgrims of the dispersion, throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, —
2 Aaway Xoossi kase intena erida mala dooretidaytas, Yesus Kiristoosas azazistanasine inte iza suuthan aracetidi geeyana mala xiillo ayanan dumattida intes kiyatethine sarotethi daro.
[Chosen] according to the fore-knowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of Spirit, unto obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ, Favour unto you, and peace, be multiplied!
3 Yesus Kiristoosay hayqope dendida gishshi nuusu deyo gidida ufayssi immidayssi ba gita maarotethan nuna bees ooratha nayta histidayss nu Goda Yesus Kiristoosa Aaway Xoossi galateto.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to his great mercy, hath regenerated us unto a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,

Wherein ye exult, though, for a little, just now, if needful, put to grief in manifold temptations,

Hessi he paacetida inte ammanoy Yesus Kiristoosay qoncciza gallas galatas, bonchosine sabas intena gaathana.
In order that the proving of your faith—much more precious than of gold that perisheth even though, by means of fire, it is proved—may be found unto praise and glory and honour in the revealing of Jesus Christ, —
8 Inte Yesus Kiristoosa ayfera beyontta aggikoka inte iza doosista. Ha7ika inte iza beyontta aggikoka iza ammaneta; Coo qaalan qonccisana danda7ontta gita boncho ufayss inte ufa7etista.
Whom, not having seen, ye love, on whom, though at present not looking, but believing, ye exult with joy unspeakable and filled with glory,
9 Inte naagiza inte shempoyss atoteth inte ammanon demmidista.
Being about to bear away the end of your faith—a salvation of souls:
10 He atotethaza gishshi intes imistana kiyatethas kase nabeti lo7ethi wozinape pilig xeellida.
Concerning which salvation, prophets—who concerning the favour for you, did prophesy—sought out and searched out,
11 Kase isttan diza Kiristoosa ayanay Xoossafe tiyettidayssa bolla gakana waayezane he waayezape guye izi demmana bonchoza gishshi kase bessi wothides. Istti qass hessi wurikka ayide waani hananakone yuushi qopida.
Searching into what particular, or what manner, of season the Spirit of Christ which was in them was pointing to, when witnessing beforehand as to—The sufferings, for Christ, and the glories, after these, —

Unto whom it was revealed—that, Not unto themselves, but unto us, they were ministering them, which things have, now, been announced unto you through them who have told you the good tidings with Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven: into which things messengers are coveting to obtain a nearer view.

Wherefore, girding up the loins of your mind, keeping sober, perseveringly direct your hope unto the favour, being borne along to you, in the revealing of Jesus Christ:
14 Inte azazetiza nayta gididi erontta dishe inte kase intes diza iitta qofa kaallopite.
As obedient persons, not configuring yourselves unto your former covetings in your ignorance:
15 Intena xeeygida Xoossi duuma gidida mala inteka inte duussan wurson duumatite.
But, according as he that hath called you is holy, do, ye yourselves, also become, holy in all manner of behaviour, —
16 Gaasoyka “Tani duuma gidida gishshi inteka duuma gidite” geeteti geesha maxaafan kase xaafetides.
Inasmuch as it is written—Holy shall ye be, because, I, am holy.
17 Oonaka duuma shaaki maadontta issa issas izade ootho mala piridiza Xoossa “Izi nu Aawakko” giidi inte xeeygizazi gidiko hayssa alamezan inte imathene bete asi gidi diza wode wurson izas babbite.
And, if, as Father, ye are invoking him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to each man’s work, with reverence, for the time of your sojourning, behave ye;
18 Inte kase inte Aawatape laatida coo mela hada duusafe wozettiday dhayiza biran woykko worqan gidonttayssa inte ereista.
Knowing that, Not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, have ye been redeemed from your unmeaning behaviour paternally handed down,
19 Gido attin inte wozetiday iittayne wothoy iza bolla bayinda geesha dorisa mala gidida Kiristoosa boncho suuthankko.
But with precious blood, as of a lamb, unblemished and unspotted, of an Anointed One, —
20 Izi erettiday hayssi alamezi medhetanape kase gidishin ha7i qass wursetha woden intes qoncides.
Foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but made manifest at a last stage of the times, for the sake of you
21 Intes ammanoyne inte hidotay Xoossan gidana mala Yesus Kiristoosa baggara he iza hayqope denthidi izas booncho immida Xoossan inte ammanettista.
who, through him, are faithful towards God, —Who raised him from among the dead, and glory to him gave, So that your faith and hope are directed towards God:
22 Inte ammanizayta suure wozinape siiqana mala tumas azazetethan inte inte asatetha geeshidista. Hessa gishshi inte inte giddon issay issara lo7ethi siiqettite.
Having purified, your souls, by the obedience of the truth, unto unfeigned brotherly affection, from the heart, love, one another, earnestly;
23 Inte nam7antho yeelettiday medhinas minni diza dhayontta deyo Xoossa qaalan dhayontta zereththafe attin dhayiza zereththafe gidena. (aiōn g165)
Having been regenerated—Not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible—through means of the word of a Living and Abiding God; (aiōn g165)
24 Geesha maxaafay giza mala “Asho mayday wurikka maata malakko, Iza bonchoyka wurikka wora ciisha malako, Maatayka meles, ciishayka qoqopettes.
Inasmuch as—All flesh, is as grass, and, all the glory thereof, as the flower of grass, —The grass hath withered, and the flower hath fallen out,
