Sophonie 3
1 Malheur, cité provocatrice et rachetée, colombe!
Wo! thou citee, terrere to wraththe, and bouyt ayen a culuer.
2 Elle n’a pas écouté la voix, et elle n’a pas reçu les instructions; elle ne s’est pas confiée au Seigneur, elle ne s’est pas approchée de son Dieu.
It herde not the vois of the Lord, and resseyuede not techyng, ether chastisyng; it tristenyde not in the Lord, it neiyide not to her God.
3 Ses princes au milieu d’elle sont comme des lions rugissants; ses juges, loups du soir, ne laissaient rien pour le matin.
Princes therof in myddil therof weren as liouns rorynge; iugis therof weren wolues, in the euentid thei leften not in to morewe.
4 Ses prophètes sont insensés et sans foi, ses prêtres ont souillé les choses saintes et ont agi injustement contre la loi.
Profetis therof weren woode, vnfeithful men; prestis therof defouliden hooli thing, thei diden vniustli ayens the lawe.
5 Le Seigneur, juste au milieu d’elle, ne commettra pas l’iniquité; chaque matin il produira sont jugement à la lumière, et ne se cachera pas; mais le peuple inique n’a pas connu sa confusion.
The Lord iust in the myddil therof, schal not do wickidnesse; erli, erli he schal yyue his dom in liyt, and it schal not be hid; forsothe the wickid puple knew not confusioun.
6 J’ai exterminé les nations, et leurs angles ont été détruits; j’ai rendu leurs voies désertes, en sorte qu’il n’y a personne qui y passe; leurs cités ont été désolées, pas un homme n’y restant, et nul n’y habitant.
Y loste folkis, and the corneris of hem ben distried; Y made the weies of hem desert, while there is not that schal passe. The citees of hem ben desolat, for a man is not left, nether ony dwellere.
7 J’ai dit: Mais cependant tu me craindras, tu recevras les instructions; et ta demeure ne périra pas à cause de toutes les choses pour lesquelles je l’ai visitée; mais cependant se levant au point du jour, ils ont corrompu toutes leurs pensées.
Y seide, Netheles thou schalt drede me, thou schalt resseyue techyng; and the dwellyng place therof schal not perische, for alle thingis in whiche Y visitide it; netheles ful eerli thei risynge han corrupt alle her thouytis.
8 C’est pourquoi, attends-moi, dit le Seigneur, au jour de ma résurrection à venir; parce que ma résolution est de rassembler les nations, et de réunir les royaumes et de répandre sur eux mon indignation et toute la colère de ma fureur; car par le feu de ma colère toute la terre sera dévorée.
Wherfor abide thou me, seith the Lord, in the dai of my rysyng ayen in to comynge. For my doom is, that Y gadere folkis, and Y schal gadere rewmes; and Y schal schede out on hem myn indignacioun, and al wraththe of my strong veniaunce; for in fier of my feruour al erthe schal be deuourid.
9 Parce que alors je donnerai aux peuples une lèvre choisie, afin que tous invoquent le nom du Seigneur, et qu’ils le servent d’un commun accord.
For thanne Y schal yelde to puplis a chosun lippe, that alle clepe inwardli in the name of the Lord, and serue to hym with o schuldre.
10 D’au-delà des fleuves d’Ethiopie viendront mes suppliants, les fils de mes dispersés m’apporteront un présent.
Ouer the floodis of Ethiopie, fro thens my bisecheris, the sones of my scaterid men, schulen brynge yifte to me.
11 En ce jour-là, tu ne seras pas confondue pour toutes les inventions par lesquelles tu as prévariqué contre moi; parce que j’enlèverai du milieu de toi les flatteurs fastueux de ton orgueil; tu ne t’enorgueilliras plus désormais sur ma montagne sainte.
In that day thou schalt not be confoundid on alle thi fyndyngis, in whiche thou trespassidist ayens me; for thanne Y schal take awei fro the myddil of thee grete spekeris of thi pride, and thou schalt no more put to, for to be enhaunsid in myn hooli hil.
12 Et je laisserai au milieu de toi un peuple pauvre et indigent, et ils espéreront dans le nom du Seigneur.
And Y schal leeue in the myddil of thee a pore puple and nedi; and thei schulen hope in the name of the Lord.
13 Les restes d’Israël ne commettront pas l’iniquité et ne parleront pas mensonge; il ne se trouvera pas dans leur bouche de langue trompeuse; parce qu’eux-mêmes paîtront, et se coucheront, et il n’y aura personne qui les épouvante.
The relifs of Israel schulen not do wickidnesse, nether schulen speke leesyng, and a gileful tunge schal not be foundun in the mouth of hem; for thei schulen be fed, and schulen reste, and ther schal not be that schal make aferd.
14 Loue, fille de Sion; jubile, Israël; réjouis-toi, et exulte en tout ton cœur, fille de Jérusalem.
These thingis seith the Lord, Douyter of Sion, herie thou hertli, synge thou, Israel; be thou glad, and make thou ioie withoutforth in al thin herte, thou douyter of Jerusalem.
15 Le Seigneur a effacé ton arrêt, il a éloigné tes ennemis; le roi d’Israël, le Seigneur, est au milieu de toi; tu ne craindras plus le malheur.
The Lord hath take a wei thi dom, hath turned a wey thin enemyes; the kyng of Israel the Lord is in myddil of thee, thou schalt no more drede yuel.
16 En ce jour-là, on dira à Jérusalem: Ne crains pas; Sion, que tes mains ne s’affaiblissent point.
In that dai it schal be seid, Jerusalem, nyle thou drede; Sion, thin hondis be not clumsid.
17 Le Seigneur, ton Dieu, le Dieu fort sera au milieu de toi; lui-même te sauvera; il se réjouira de joie en toi, il se reposera en ton amour, il exultera en toi, au milieu des louanges.
Thi Lord God is strong in the myddil of thee, he schal saue; he schal make ioie on thee in gladnesse, he schal be stille in thi louyng, he schal make ioie withoutforth on thee in heriyng.
18 Les hommes légers qui s’étaient écartés de la loi, je les rassemblerai, parce qu’ils t’appartenaient, afin que tu n’aies plus en eux un sujet d’opprobre.
Y schal gadere the foolis, ether veyn men, that wenten awei fro the lawe, for thei weren of thee, that thou haue no more schenschipe on hem.
19 Voici que moi, je tuerai tous ceux qui t’ont affligée en ce temps-là, et je sauverai celle qui boitait, et celle qui avait été rejetée, je la ramènerai; je les établirai en louange et en nom dans tout pays où ils étaient couverts de confusion.
Lo! Y schal sle alle men that turmentiden thee in that tyme, and Y schal saue him that haltith, and Y schal gadere hir that was cast out; and Y schal putte hem in to heriyng, and in to name in ech lond of confusioun of hem, in that tyme in which Y schal brynge you,
20 En ce temps-là, je vous ramènerai, et dans ce temps-là, je vous rassemblerai; car je vous établirai en nom et en louange devant tous les peuples de la terre, lorsque j’aurai changé votre captivité devant vos yeux, dit le Seigneur.
and in the tyme in which Y schal gadre you. For Y schal yyue you in to name, and in to heriyng to alle puplis of erthe, whanne Y schal conuerte youre caitifte bifore youre iyen, seith the Lord.
