Apocalypse 20

1 Et je vis un ange qui descendait du ciel, ayant la clef de l’abîme, et une grande chaîne en sa main. (Abyssos g12)

And I saw a messenger, coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain upon his hand; (Abyssos g12)

2 Et il prit le dragon, l’ancien serpent, qui est le diable et Satan, et il le lia pour mille ans,

and he laid hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is Adversary and the Accuser, and bound him for a thousand years, —

3 Et il le jeta dans l’abîme, et l’y enferma, et il mit un sceau sur lui, afin qu’il ne séduisît plus les nations, jusqu’à ce que fussent accomplis les mille ans; car après ces mille ans il faut qu’il soit délié pour un peu de temps. (Abyssos g12)

and cast him into the abyss, and fastened and sealed [it] over him, —that he might not deceive the nations any more, until the thousand years, should be ended: after these, must he be loosed for a short time. (Abyssos g12)

4 Je vis aussi des trônes (et il y en eut qui s’y assirent, et le pouvoir de juger leur fut donné), et les âmes de ceux qui ont eu la tête tranchée à cause du témoignage de Jésus, et à cause de la parole de Dieu, et qui n’ont point adoré la bête ni son image, ni reçu son caractère sur le front ou dans leurs mains; et ils ont vécu et régné avec Jésus-Christ pendant mille ans.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and sentence of judgment was given unto them; and [I saw] the souls of them who had been beheaded because of the witness of Jesus and because of the word of God, and such as had not done homage unto the wild-beast or unto his image, nor had received the mark upon their forehead or upon their hand; and they lived and reigned with the Christ, for a thousand years.

5 Les autres morts ne sont pas revenus à la vie, jusqu’à ce que fussent accomplis les mille ans. C’est ici la première résurrection.

The rest of the dead, lived not, until the thousand years, were ended. This, is the first resurrection.

6 Bienheureux et saint est celui qui a part à la première résurrection, la seconde mort n’aura pas de pouvoir sur eux; mais ils seront prêtres de Dieu et de Jésus-Christ, et ils régneront avec lui pendant mille ans.

Happy and holy, is he that hath part in the first resurrection: upon these, the second death, hath no authority; but they shall be priests of God and of the Christ, and shall reign with him for the thousand years.

7 Et lorsque seront accomplis les mille ans, Satan sera relâché de sa prison

And, as soon as the thousand years, shall be ended, the Accuser shall be loosed out of his prison,

8 et sortira, et il séduira les nations qui sont aux quatre coins du monde, Gog et Magog, et il les assemblera au combat, eux dont le nombre est comme le sable de la mer.

and will go forth to deceive the nations that are in the four corners of the earth, the Gog and Magog, to gather them together unto the battle—the number of whom, is as the sand of the sea.

9 Et ils montèrent sur toute la face de la terre, et ils environnèrent le camp des saints et la cité bien-aimée. Mais il descendit du ciel un feu venu de Dieu, et il les dévora;

And they came up over the breadth of the land, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And there came down fire out of heaven, and devoured them;

10 et le diable qui les séduisait, fut jeté dans l’étang de feu et de soufre, où la bête elle-même, et le faux prophète seront tourmentés jour et nuit dans les siècles des siècles. (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

and, the Adversary that had been deceiving them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where [were] both the wild-beast and the false-prophet; and they shall be tormented, day and night, unto the ages of ages. (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

11 Je vis aussi un grand trône blanc, et quelqu’un assis dessus, et devant la face duquel la terre et le ciel s’enfuirent, et leur place ne se trouva plus.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that was sitting thereon, from whose face fled the earth and heaven, and, place, was not found for them.

12 Et je vis les morts, grands et petits, debout devant le trône; des livres furent ouverts, et un autre livre fut encore ouvert, c’est le livre de vie; et les morts furent jugés sur ce qui était dans les livres, selon leurs œuvres.

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and, books, were opened, and, another book, was opened, which is, the book, of life; and the dead, were judged, out of the things written in the books, according to their works.

13 La mer rendit les morts qui étaient en elle; la mort et l’enfer rendirent aussi les morts qui étaient en eux; et ils furent jugés chacun selon ses œuvres. (Hadēs g86)

And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and, death and hades, gave up the dead that were in them; and they were judged, each one, according to their works. (Hadēs g86)

14 L’enfer et la mort furent jetés dans l’étang de feu. Celle-ci est la seconde mort. (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And, death and hades, were cast into the lake of fire. This, is, the second death—the lake of fire. (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

15 Et quiconque ne se trouva pas écrit dans le livre de vie fut jeté dans l’étang de feu. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And, if anyone was not found, in the book of life, written, he was cast into the lake of fire. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
