Psaumes 96
1 Lorsqu’on bâtissait la maison, après la captivité.
O sing to the LORD a new song: sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Chantez au Seigneur, et bénissez son nom: annoncez de jour en jour son salut.
Sing to the LORD, bless his name; show forth his salvation from day to day.
3 Annoncez parmi les nations sa gloire, au milieu de tous les peuples ses merveilles.
Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4 Parce que le Seigneur est grand, et infiniment louable; il est terrible au-dessus de tous les dieux.
For the LORD [is] great, and greatly to be praised: he [is] to be feared above all gods.
5 Parce que tous les dieux des nations sont des démons: mais le Seigneur a fait les cieux.
For all the gods of the nations [are] idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
6 La louange et la beauté sont en sa présence: la sainteté et la magnificence dans le lieu de sa sanctification.
Honor and majesty [are] before him: strength and beauty [are] in his sanctuary.
7 Apportez au Seigneur, ô familles des nations, apportez au Seigneur gloire et honneur;
Give to the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give to the LORD glory and strength.
8 Apportez au Seigneur la gloire due à son nom. Prenez des hosties, et entrez dans ses parvis;
Give to the LORD the glory [due to] his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9 Adorez le Seigneur dans son saint parvis. Que toute la terre soit ébranlée devant sa face;
O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
10 Dites parmi les nations que le Seigneur a établi son règne. Car il a affermi le globe de la terre, qui ne sera pas ébranlé: il jugera les peuples avec équité.
Say among the heathen [that] the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he will judge the people righteously.
11 Que les cieux se livrent à la joie, que la terre exulte, que la mer soit agitée, et sa plénitude;
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness of it.
12 Les champs se réjouiront, et tout ce qui est en eux. Alors exulteront tous les arbres des forêts,
Let the field be joyful, and all that [is] in it: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the LORD:
13 À la face du Seigneur, parce qu’il vient; parce qu’il vient juger la terre. Il jugera le globe de la terre avec équité, et les peuples selon sa vérité.
For he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
