Psaumes 86
1 Inclinez, Seigneur, votre oreille, et exaucez-moi, parce que je suis sans ressource et pauvre.
“A prayer of David.” Incline thine ear, O LORD! and hear me, For I am poor and distressed!
2 Gardez mon âme, parce que je suis saint: sauvez, mon Dieu, votre serviteur qui espère en vous.
Preserve my life, for I am devoted to thee! Save, O thou my God! thy servant who trusteth in thee!
3 Ayez pitié de moi, Seigneur, parce que vers vous j’ai crié tout le jour.
Have pity upon me, O Lord! For to thee do I cry daily!
4 Réjouissez l’âme de votre serviteur, parce que vers vous, Seigneur, j’ai élevé mon âme.
Revive the soul of thy servant, For to thee, O Lord! do I lift up my soul!
5 Parce que vous, Seigneur, vous êtes bienveillant et doux, et d’une grande miséricorde pour tous ceux qui vous invoquent.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; Yea, rich in mercy to all that call upon thee!
6 Prêtez l’oreille Seigneur, à ma prière, et soyez attentif à la voix de ma supplication.
Give ear, O LORD! to my prayer, And attend to the voice of my supplication!
7 Au jour de ma tribulation, j’ai crié vers vous, parce que vous m’avez exaucé.
In the day of my trouble I call upon thee, For thou dost answer me!
8 Il n’est point de semblable à vous parmi les dieux, Seigneur; et il n’est rien de comparable à vos œuvres.
Among the gods there is none like thee, O Lord! And there are no works like thy works!
9 Toutes les nations que vous avez faites viendront, et adoreront devant vous, Seigneur, et glorifieront votre nom.
All the nations which thou hast made must come and worship before thee, O Lord! And glorify thy name!
10 Parce que vous êtes grand, vous, et que vous faites des merveilles, et que vous êtes seul Dieu.
For great art thou, and wondrous are thy works; Thou alone art God!
11 Conduisez-moi, Seigneur, dans votre voie, et que je marche dans votre vérité: que mon cœur se réjouisse, afin qu’il craigne votre nom.
Teach me, O LORD! thy way, That I may walk in thy truth; Unite all my heart to fear thy name!
12 Je vous louerai, Seigneur mon Dieu, en tout mon cœur, et je glorifierai votre nom éternellement;
I will praise thee, O Lord, my God! with my whole heart; I will give glory to thy name for ever!
13 Parce que votre miséricorde est grande envers moi, et que vous avez arraché mon âme de l’enfer le plus profond. (Sheol h7585)
For thy kindness to me hath been great; Thou hast delivered me from the depths of the underworld! (Sheol h7585)
14 Ô Dieu, des hommes iniques se sont insurgés contre moi, et une assemblée de puissants a cherché mon âme; et ils ne vous ont pas eu présent devant leurs yeux.
O God! the proud have risen against me; Bands of cruel men seek my life, And set not thee before their eyes.
15 Et vous, Seigneur, vous le Dieu compatissant et miséricordieux, patient, d’une grande miséricorde, et véridique,
But thou, O Lord! art a God full of compassion and kindness, Long-suffering, rich in mercy and truth!
16 Jetez les yeux sur moi, et ayez pitié de moi; donnez votre puissance à votre serviteur, et sauvez le fils de votre servante.
Look upon me, and have compassion upon me! Give thy strength to thy servant, And save the son of thy handmaid!
17 Faites pour moi un signe favorable, afin qu’ils le voient, ceux qui me haïssent, et qu’ils soient confondus, parce que c’est vous, Seigneur, qui m’avez aidé et consolé.
Show me a token for good, That my enemies may see it and be confounded; Because thou, O LORD! helpest and comfortest me!
