Psaumes 68
1 Psaume d’un cantique de David lui-même. Que Dieu se lève, et que ses ennemis soient dissipés; et que ceux qui le haïssent fuient devant sa face.
For the end, a Psalm of a Song by David. Let God arise, and let his enemies be scattered; and let them that hate him flee from before him.
2 Comme s’évanouit la fumée, qu’ils s’évanouissent: comme la cire fond à la face du feu, qu’ainsi périssent les pécheurs à la face de Dieu.
As smoke vanishes, let them vanish: as wax melts before the fire, so let the sinners perish from before God.
3 Mais que les justes fassent des festins, et qu’ils exultent en la présence de Dieu; et qu’ils se plaisent dans la joie.
But let the righteous rejoice; let them exult before God: let them be delighted with joy.
4 Chantez Dieu, dites un psaume à la gloire de son nom: faites un chemin à celui qui monte sur le couchant: le Seigneur est son nom. Exultez en sa présence: les pécheurs, seront troublés devant sa face,
Sing to God, sing praises to his name: make a way for him that rides upon the west (the Lord is his name) and exult before him. They shall be troubled before the face of him,
5 Lui. le père des orphelins, et le juge des veuves. Dieu est dans son lieu saint;
[who is] the father of the orphans, and judge of the widows: [such is] God in his holy place.
6 Dieu qui fait habiter dans sa maison ceux qui sont d’un même esprit: Qui fait sortir par sa puissance ceux qui sont dans les liens, et pareillement ceux qui l’irritent, qui habitent dans des sépulcres.
God settles the solitary in a house; leading forth prisoners mightily, also them that act provokingly, [even] them that dwell in tombs.
7 Ô Dieu, lorsque vous sortiez en présence de votre peuple, lorsque vous passiez dans le désert,
O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou wentest through the wilderness; (Pause)
8 La terre fut ébranlée; car les cieux se fondirent en eaux à la face du Dieu du Sinaï, à la face du Dieu d’Israël.
the earth quaked, yea, the heavens dropped [water] at the presence of the God of Sina, at the presence of the God of Israel.
9 Vous réserverez, ô Dieu, une pluie volontaire pour votre héritage; il a été affaibli, mais vous, vous l’avez fortifié.
O God, thou wilt grant to thine inheritance a gracious rain; for it was weary, but thou didst refresh it.
10 Vos animaux y habiteront; vous avez, ô Dieu, préparé par un effet de votre douceur une nourriture au pauvre.
Thy creatures dwell in it: thou hast in thy goodness prepared for the poor.
11 Le Seigneur donnera la parole à ceux qui annonceront la bonne nouvelle, avec une grande force.
The Lord God will give a word to them that preach [it] in a great company.
12 Le roi des armées sera soumis au bien-aimé, au bien-aimé; et ce sera à la beauté de la maison de partager les dépouilles.
The king of the forces of the beloved, of the beloved, [will] even [grant them] for the beauty of the house to divide the spoils.
13 Si vous dormez au milieu de vos héritages, vous serez comme des ailes argentées
Even if ye should lie among the lots, [ye shall have] the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her breast with yellow gold.
14 Tandis que le roi du ciel disperse des rois sur elle, ils deviendront blancs par la neige qui est sur Selmon.
When the heavenly One scatters kings upon it, they shall be made snow-white in Selmon.
15 La montagne de Dieu est une montagne grasse: Montagne fertile, montagne grasse.
The mountain of God is a rich mountain; a swelling mountain, a rich mountain.
16 Pourquoi regardez-vous avec envie des montagnes fertiles? La montagne sur laquelle il a plu à Dieu d’habiter; car le Seigneur y habitera jusqu’à la fin.
Wherefore do ye conceive [evil], ye swelling mountains? [this is] the mountain which God has delighted to dwell in; yea, the Lord will dwell [in it] for ever.
17 Le char de Dieu est entouré de plus de dix mille; ce sont des milliers de saints qui se livrent à la joie; le Seigneur est au milieu d’eux, à Sinaï dans son sanctuaire.
The chariots of God are ten thousand fold, thousands of rejoicing ones: the Lord is among them, in Sina, in the holy place.
18 Vous êtes monté en haut, vous avez pris une captivité: vous avez reçu des dons parmi les hommes;
Thou art gone up on high, thou hast led captivity captive, thou hast received gifts for man, yea, for [they were] rebellious, that thou mightest dwell among them.
19 Béni soit le Seigneur un jour, chaque jour: il nous fera un chemin prospère, le Dieu de nos victoires.
Blessed be the Lord God, blessed be the Lord daily; and the God of our salvation shall prosper us. (Pause)
20 Notre Dieu est le Dieu qui sauve; et au Seigneur, au Seigneur appartient de retirer de la mort.
Our God is the God of salvation; and to the Lord belong the issues from death.
21 Mais Dieu brisera les têtes de ses ennemis; le sommet chevelu de ceux qui marchent dans leurs péchés.
But God shall crust the heads of his enemies; the hairy crown of them that go on in their trespasses.
22 Le Seigneur a dit: De Bazan je les amènerai, je les amènerai dans le profond de la mer;
The Lord said, I will bring again from Basan, I will bring [my people] again through the depths of the sea.
23 En sorte que ton pied soit teint dans du sang, que la langue de tes chiens le soit du sang de tes ennemis.
That thy foot may be dipped in blood, [and] the tongue of thy dogs [be stained] with that of [thine] enemies.
24 Ils ont vu vos marches, ô Dieu, les marches de mon Dieu, de mon roi qui est dans le sanctuaire.
Thy goings, O God, have been seen; the goings of my God, the king, in the sanctuary.
25 Des princes joints à des joueurs de psaltérion ont précédé, au milieu de jeunes filles battant du tambour.
The princes went first, next before the players on instruments, in the midst of damsels playing on timbrels.
26 Dans des assemblées bénissez Dieu, le Seigneur, vous sortis des sources d’Israël.
Praise God in the congregations, the Lord from the fountains of Israel.
27 Là était le jeune Benjamin, dans l’extase de son esprit. Les princes de Juda, leurs chefs; les princes de Zabulon, les princes de Nephthali.
There is Benjamin the younger [one] in ecstasy, the princes of Juda their rulers, the princes of Zabulon, the princes of Nephthali.
28 Commandez, ô Dieu, à votre puissance; affermissez, ô Dieu, ce que vous avez opéré parmi nous.
O God, command thou thy strength: strengthen, O God, this which thou hast wrought in us.
29 Du milieu de votre temple qui est dans Jérusalem, des rois vous offriront des présents.
Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents to thee.
30 Réprimez les bêtes du roseau, assemblée de taureaux au milieu des vaches des peuples, afin de chasser ceux qui ont été éprouvés par l’argent.
Rebuke the wild beasts of the reed: let the crowd of bulls with the heifers of the nations [be rebuked], so that they who have been proved with silver may not be shut out: scatter thou the nations that wish for wars.
31 Des ambassadeurs viendront d’Égypte; l’Éthiopie tendra la première ses mains vers Dieu.
Ambassadors shall arrive out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall hasten [to stretch out] her hand readily to God.
32 Royaumes de la terre, chantez Dieu; jouez du psaltérion en l’honneur de Dieu,
Sing to God, ye kingdoms of the earth; sing psalms to the Lord. (Pause)
33 Qui est monté sur le ciel du ciel, vers l’Orient.
Sing to God that rides on the heaven of heaven, eastward: lo, he will utter a mighty sound with his voice.
34 Donnez gloire à Dieu, au sujet d’Israël; sa magnificence et sa puissance éclatent dans les nues.
Give ye glory to God: his excellency is over Israel, and his power is in the clouds.
35 Dieu est admirable dans ses saints, le Dieu d’Israël lui-même donnera puissance et force à son peuple: béni soit Dieu.
God is wonderful in his holy [places], the God of Israel: he will give power and strength to his people: blessed be God.
