Psaumes 5
1 Pour la fin, pour celle qui obtient l’héritage, psaume de David. Prêtez l’oreille âmes paroles. Seigneur, entendez mon cri.
For the Leader; upon the Nehiloth. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my (meditation)
2 Soyez attentif à la voix
Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God; for unto Thee do I pray.
3 Parce que c’est vous que je prierai; Seigneur, dès le matin vous entendrez ma voix.
O LORD, in the morning shalt Thou hear my voice; in the morning will I order my prayer unto Thee, and will look forward.
4 Dès le matin je me présenterai devant vous, et je verrai que vous n’êtes pas un Dieu qui veut l’iniquité.
For Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; evil shall not sojourn with Thee.
5 Le méchant n’habitera pas près de vous; et les hommes injustes ne subsisteront pas devant vos yeux.
The boasters shall not stand in Thy sight; Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Vous haïssez tous ceux qui opèrent l’iniquité; vous perdrez tous ceux qui profèrent le mensonge. Le Seigneur aura en abomination un homme de sang et un fourbe.
Thou destroyest them that speak falsehood; the LORD abhorreth the man of blood and of deceit.
7 Mais moi, grâce à la multitude de vos miséricordes, j’entrerai dans votre maison; j’adorerai en approchant de votre saint temple, pénétré de votre crainte.
But as for me, in the abundance of Thy lovingkindness will I come into Thy house; I will bow down toward Thy holy temple in the fear of Thee.
8 Seigneur, conduisez-moi dans votre justice; à cause de mes ennemis dirigez ma voie en votre présence.
O LORD, lead me in Thy righteousness because of them that lie in wait for me; make Thy way straight before my face.
9 Parce que la vérité n’est pas dans leur bouche: leur cœur est vain.
For there is no sincerity in their mouth; their inward part is a yawning gulf, their throat is an open sepulchre; they make smooth their tongue.
10 C’est un sépulcre ouvert que leur gosier; avec leurs langues ils agissaient astucieusement: jugez-les, ô Dieu. Qu’ils soient déçus de leurs pensées; à cause de la multitude de leurs impiétés, chassez-les, parce qu’ils vous ont irrité, Seigneur.
Hold them guilty, O God, let them fall by their own counsels; cast them down in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against Thee.
11 Mais qu’ils se réjouissent, tous ceux qui espèrent en vous; éternellement ils tressailliront d’allégresse, et vous habiterez en eux. Et ils se glorifieront en vous, tous ceux qui aiment votre nom;
So shall all those that take refuge in Thee rejoice, they shall ever shout for joy, and Thou shalt shelter them; let them also that love Thy name exult in Thee.
12 Parce que vous, vous bénirez le juste. Seigneur, vous nous avez couronnés de votre bonne volonté comme d’un bouclier.
For Thou dost bless the righteous; O LORD, Thou dost encompass him with favour as with a shield.
