Psaumes 45
1 Pour la fin, pour ceux qui seront changés, aux fils de Coré, pour l’intelligence. Cantique pour le bien-aimé. Mon cœur a produit une bonne parole; c’est moi qui adresse mes ouvrages au roi. Ma langue est une plume d’écrivain qui écrit rapidement.
Unto the end, for them that shall be changed, for the sons of Core, for understanding. A canticle for the Beloved. My heart hath uttered a good word I speak my works to the king; My tongue is the pen of a scrivener that writeth swiftly.
2 Vous êtes plus brillant de beauté que les enfants des hommes, la grâce est répandue sur vos lèvres; c’est pourquoi le Seigneur vous a béni pour l’éternité.
Thou art beautiful above the sons of men: grace is poured abroad in thy lips; therefore hath God blessed thee for ever.
3 Ceignez votre glaive sur votre cuisse, roi très puissant.
Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O thou most mighty.
4 Dans votre dignité et votre beauté, tendez votre arc, marchez avec succès et régnez Pour la vérité, la douceur et la justice; et votre droite vous conduira admirablement.
With thy comeliness and thy beauty set out, proceed prosperously, and reign. Because of truth and meekness and justice: and thy right hand shall conduct thee wonderfully.
5 Vos flèches sont acérées, des peuples tomberont à vos pieds; elles pénétreront dans les cœurs des ennemis du roi.
Thy arrows are sharp: under thee shall people fall, into the hearts of the king’s enemies.
6 Votre trône, ô Dieu, subsistera dans les siècles des siècles; c’est un sceptre d’équité que le sceptre de votre règne.
Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of uprightness.
7 Vous avez aimé la justice et haï l’iniquité: c’est pour cela que Dieu, votre Dieu, vous a plus excellemment oint d’une huile de joie que ceux qui participent à l’onction avec vous.
Thou hast loved justice, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8 La myrrhe, l’aloès et la cannelle s’exhalent de vos vêtements et de vos maisons d’ivoire; dont vous ont fait présent
Myrrh and stacte and cassia perfume thy garments, from the ivory houses: out of which
9 Des filles de rois, pour vous honorer. La reine s’est tenue debout à votre droite, dans un vêtement d’or, couverte de vêtements variés.
The daughters of kings have delighted thee in thy glory. The queen stood on thy right hand, in gilded clothing; surrounded with variety.
10 Écoutez, ma fille, voyez et inclinez votre oreille: oubliez votre peuple, et la maison de votre père.
Hearken, O daughter, and see, and incline thy ear: and forget thy people and thy father’s house.
11 Et le roi sera épris de sa beauté; parce qu’il est le Seigneur votre Dieu, et on l’adorera.
And the king shall greatly desire thy beauty; for he is the Lord thy God, and him they shall adore.
12 Et les filles de Tyr viendront avec des présents: tous les riches du peuple imploreront votre visage.
And the daughters of Tyre with gifts, yea, all the rich among the people, shall entreat thy countenance.
13 Toute la gloire de la fille du roi est au dedans, avec des franges d’or
All the glory of the king’s daughter is within in golden borders,
14 Elle est toute couverte d’ornements variés. Des vierges seront amenées au roi après elle: ses plus proches vous seront présentées.
Clothed round about with varieties. After her shall virgins be brought to the king: her neighbours shall be brought to thee.
15 Elles seront présentées au milieu de l’allégresse et de l’exultation, elles seront conduites dans le temple du roi.
They shall be brought with gladness and rejoicing: they shall be brought into the temple of the king.
16 Au lieu de vos pères, des fils vous sont nés: vous les établirez princes sur toute la terre.
Instead of thy fathers, sons are born to thee: thou shalt make them princes over all the earth.
17 Ils se souviendront de votre nom dans toute la suite des générations. C’est pour cela que des peuples vous loueront éternellement, et dans les siècles des siècles.
They shall remember thy name throughout all generations. Therefore shall people praise thee for ever; yea, for ever and ever.
