Psaumes 30
1 À la dédicace de la maison David. Je vous exalterai, Seigneur, parce que vous m’avez relevé, et que vous n’avez pas réjoui mes ennemis à mon sujet.
A psalm of David. A psalm for the dedication of the Temple. I want to tell everyone how good you are, Lord, for you saved me, and you didn't let my enemies triumph over me.
2 Seigneur mon Dieu, j’ai crié vers vous, et vous m’avez guéri.
Lord, my God, I called out to you for help, and you have healed me.
3 Seigneur, vous avez retiré de l’enfer mon âme, et vous m’avez sauvé, en me séparant de ceux qui descendent dans la fosse. (Sheol h7585)
Lord, you rescued me from the grave, you brought me back to life, saving me from going down into the pit of death. (Sheol h7585)
4 Chantez des hymnes au Seigneur, vous, ses saints; glorifiez la mémoire de sa sainteté.
You who trust the Lord, sing praises to him, and be thankful for his holy character!
5 Parce que le châtiment est dans son indignation, et la vie dans sa bonne volonté. Au soir sera réservé le pleur, et au matin la joie.
For his anger only lasts a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime. You may spend the night in tears, but happiness comes with the morning.
6 Pour moi j’ai dit dans mon abondance: Je ne décherrai jamais.
When things were going well, I said, “Nothing will ever shake me!”
7 Seigneur, par votre bonne volonté, vous avez affermi mon état florissant. Vous avez détourné votre face de moi, et je suis tombé dans le trouble.
Lord, when you showed me your favor I stood as strong as a mountain; when you turned away from me I was terrified.
8 Vers vous, Seigneur, je crierai, et à mon Dieu j’adresserai ma supplication.
I called out to you for help, Lord. I asked the Lord for grace, saying,
9 De quelle utilité vous sera mon sang, lorsque je descendrai dans la corruption? Est-ce que la poussière vous glorifiera; ou bien annoncera-telle votre vérité?
What would you gain if I die, if I go down into the pit of death? Would my dust praise you? Would it tell of your trustworthiness?
10 Le Seigneur a entendu, il a eu pitié de moi: le Seigneur est devenu mon aide.
Please listen to me, Lord, and be gracious to me! Lord, you are the one who helps me.
11 Vous avez converti mes lamentations en joie: vous avez déchiré mon sac, et vous m’avez environné d’allégresse.
You have turned my weeping into dancing. You have taken off my clothes of sackcloth and dressed me in happiness,
12 Afin que ma gloire vous chante, et que je ne sois plus tourmenté: Seigneur, mon Dieu, je vous rendrai gloire à jamais.
so I can sing praises to you and not keep quiet. Lord my God, I will thank you forever!
