Psaumes 28
1 Vers vous, Seigneur, je crierai: Mon Dieu, ne gardez pas le silence, en vous éloignant de moi, de peur que si vous vous taisez, en vous éloignant de moi, je ne devienne semblable à ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.
A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I call; my Rock, be not Thou deaf unto me; lest, if Thou be silent unto me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
2 Exaucez, Seigneur, la voix de ma supplication, lorsque je vous prie, lorsque j’élève mes mains vers votre temple saint.
Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto Thee, when I lift up my hands toward Thy holy Sanctuary.
3 Ne m’entraînez pas avec des pécheurs, et ne me perdez pas avec des hommes qui opèrent l’iniquité: Qui parlent paix avec leur prochain, et qui ont le mal dans leurs cœurs.
Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity; who speak peace with their neighbours, but evil is in their hearts.
4 Donnez-leur selon leurs œuvres et selon la méchanceté de leurs inventions: Accordez-leur, selon leurs œuvres de leurs mains; rendez-leur leur salaire.
Give them according to their deeds, and according to the evil of their endeavours; give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.
5 Parce qu’ils n’ont pas appliqué leur esprit aux œuvres du Seigneur, et aux œuvres de ses mains, vous les détruirez, et vous ne les rétablirez pas.
Because they give no heed to the works of the LORD, nor to the operation of His hands; He will break them down and not build them up.
6 Béni le Seigneur! parce qu’il a exaucé la voix de ma supplication.
Blessed be the LORD, because He hath heard the voice of my supplications.
7 Le Seigneur est mon aide et mon protecteur: en lui a espéré mon cœur, et j’ai été secouru: Et ma chair a refleuri; aussi de toute mon âme je le glorifierai.
The LORD is my strength and my shield, in Him hath my heart trusted, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth, and with my song will I praise Him.
8 Le Seigneur est la force de son peuple; le protecteur et le sauveur de son Christ.
The LORD is a strength unto them; and He is a stronghold of salvation to His anointed.
9 Sauvez votre peuple, Seigneur, et bénissez votre héritage; dirigez-les, et élevez-les jusque dans l’éternité.
Save Thy people, and bless Thine inheritance; and tend them, and carry them for ever.
