Psaumes 26

1 Pour la fin, psaume de David.

[A Psalm] of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; [therefore] I shall not slide.

2 Éprouvez-moi, Seigneur, et sondez-moi; brûlez mes reins et mon cœur.

Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

3 Parce que votre miséricorde est devant mes yeux; et je me suis complu dans votre vérité.

For thy loving-kindness [is] before my eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

4 Je n’ai pas siégé dans un conseil de vanité; et je ne m’ingérerai pas parmi ceux qui commettent des iniquités.

I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.

5 Je hais l’assemblée des méchants; et je ne siégerai pas avec des impies.

I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

6 Je laverai mes mains parmi des innocents, et je me tiendrai autour de votre autel, ô Seigneur;

I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I compass thy altar, O LORD:

7 Afin que j’entende la voix de votre louange, et que je raconte toutes vos merveilles.

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

8 Seigneur, j’ai aimé la beauté de votre maison, et le lieu où habite votre gloire.

LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy honor dwelleth.

9 Ne perdez pas, ô Dieu, mon âme avec des impies, ni ma vie avec des hommes de sang;

Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

10 Dans les mains desquels sont des iniquités, dont la droite est remplie de présents.

In whose hands [is] mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

11 Mais moi, j’ai marché dans mon innocence; rachetez-moi et ayez pitié de moi.

But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: redeem me, and be merciful to me.

12 Mon pied est demeuré ferme dans la droite voie: dans les assemblées, je vous bénirai, Seigneur.

My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
