Psaumes 22
1 Pour la fin, pour le secours du matin, psaume de David. Dieu, mon Dieu, regardez-moi: pourquoi m’avez-vous délaissé? Les paroles de mes péchés sont loin de mon salut.
To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [why art thou so far] from helping me, [and from] the words of my roaring?
2 Mon Dieu, je crierai pendant le jour, et vous ne m’exaucerez pas: et pendant la nuit, et ce n’est point à moi une folie.
O my God, I cry in the day-time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
3 Mais vous, vous habitez dans un sanctuaire, vous la louange d’Israël.
But thou [art] holy, [O thou] that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
4 C’est en vous qu’ont espéré nos pères: ils ont espéré, et vous les avez délivrés.
Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
5 Vers vous ils ont crié et ils ont été sauvés: en vous ils ont espéré, et ils n’ont point été confondus.
They cried to thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
6 Pour moi je suis un ver et non pas un homme; l’opprobre des hommes et l’abjection du peuple.
But I [am] a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.
7 Tout ceux qui m’ont vu m’ont tourné en dérision: ils ont parlé du bout des lèvres, et ils ont secoué la tête.
All they that see me deride me: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, [saying],
8 Il a espéré dans le Seigneur, qu’il le délivre; qu’il le sauve, puisqu’il l’aime.
He trusted on the LORD [that] he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
9 Cependant c’est vous qui m’avez tiré du sein de ma mère: vous êtes mon espérance depuis que je suçais les mamelles de ma mère.
But thou [art] he that brought me forth into life: thou didst make me hope [when I was] upon my mother's breasts.
10 C’est sur vous que j’ai été posé, en sortant de son sein; depuis que j’étais dans les entrailles de ma mère, vous êtes mon Dieu.
I was cast upon thee from my birth: thou [art] my God from the time I was born.
11 Ne vous éloignez pas de moi:
Be not far from me; for trouble [is] near; for [there is] none to help.
12 De jeunes taureaux en grand nombre m’ont environné; des taureaux gras m’ont assiégé.
Many bulls have compassed me: strong [bulls] of Bashan have beset me round.
13 Ils ont ouvert sur moi leur gueule comme un lion ravissant et rugissant.
They gaped upon me [with] their mouths, [as] a ravening and a roaring lion.
14 Je me suis épanché comme de l’eau, et tous mes os se sont déboîtés. Mon cœur est devenu au dedans de moi comme une cire qui se fond.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15 Ma force s’est desséchée comme un têt, et ma langue s’est attachée à mon palais; et vous m’avez conduit à la poussière de la mort.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16 Parce que des chiens nombreux m’ont environné; un conseil de méchants m’a assiégé: Ils ont percé mes mains et mes pieds:
For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 Ils ont compté tous mes os. Ils m’ont eux-mêmes considéré et regardé attentivement.
I may number all my bones: they look [and] stare upon me.
18 Ils se sont partagé mes vêtements, et sur ma robe ils ont jeté le sort.
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
19 Mais vous, Seigneur, n’éloignez pas votre secours de moi: voyez à ma défense.
But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
20 Arrachez mon âme à l’épée à double tranchant; et mon unique de la main du chien.
Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
21 Sauvez-moi de la gueule du lion; et ma faiblesse des cornes des licornes.
Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
22 Je raconterai votre nom à mes frères; je vous louerai au milieu de l’assemblée.
I will declare thy name to my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
23 Vous qui craignez le Seigneur, louez-le; race entière de Jacob, glorifiez-le:
Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 Que toute la race d’Israël le craigne, parce qu’il n’a pas méprisé ni dédaigné la supplication du pauvre; Et qu’il n’a point détourné sa face de moi, et que lorsque je criais vers lui, il m’a exaucé.
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.
25 Devant vous sera ma louange dans une grande assemblée: je rendrai mes vœux en présence de ceux qui le craignent.
My praise [shall be] of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 Les pauvres mangeront et seront rassasiés; et ils loueront le Seigneur, ceux qui le recherchent; leurs cœurs vivront dans les siècles des siècles.
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
27 Tous les confins de la terre se souviendront du Seigneur et se convertiront à lui: Et toutes les familles des nations adoreront en sa présence.
All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
28 Parce qu’au Seigneur appartient le règne; et que c’est lui qui dominera sur les nations.
For the kingdom [is] the LORD'S: and he [is] the governor among the nations.
29 Tous les riches de la terre ont mangé et ont adoré: en sa présence tomberont tous ceux qui descendent dans la terre.
All [they that are] fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
30 Et mon âme vivra pour lui; et ma postérité le servira.
A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the LORD for a generation.
31 La génération qui doit venir sera annoncée au Seigneur; et les cieux annonceront sa justice au peuple qui naîtra, et qu’a fait le Seigneur.
They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, that he hath done [this].
