Psaumes 16
1 Inscription de titre par David lui-même.
A psalm (miktam) of David. Take care of me, Lord, for I come to you for protection.
2 J’ai dit au Seigneur: Vous êtes mon Dieu, vous n’avez pas besoin de mes biens.
I tell the Lord, “Apart from you Lord, I don't have anything that's good.”
3 Aux saints qui sont sur la terre, il a manifesté d’une manière admirable mes volontés pour eux.
As for the holy people in the land, they are the ones who are truly great. I appreciate them.
4 Leurs infirmités se sont multipliées, ensuite, ils ont accéléré leur course.
Those who run after other gods will face a lot of trouble. I will not participate in their offerings of blood, I will not even speak the names of their gods.
5 Le Seigneur est la part de mon héritage et de mon calice; c’est vous qui me rendrez mon héritage.
Lord, you alone are all I have; you give me what I need; you safeguard my future.
6 Un lot m’est échu dans des lieux excellents; car mon héritage est excellent pour moi.
The land divisions have worked out in my favor—my property is wonderful!
7 Je bénirai le Seigneur de ce qu’il m’a donné l’intelligence, et de ce que jusque dans la nuit même mes reins m’ont repris.
I will bless the Lord who gives me good advice; even at night my conscience tells me what is right.
8 Je voyais toujours le Seigneur en ma présence, parce qu’il est à ma droite, afin que je ne sois pas ébranlé.
I have always kept the Lord in front of me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
9 C’est pourquoi mon cœur s’est réjoui et ma langue a tressailli, et même ma chair reposera dans l’espérance.
That's why I'm so happy! That's why I am full of joy! That's why my body lives in hope!
10 Car vous ne laisserez point mon âme dans l’enfer, et vous ne permettrez point que votre saint voie la corruption. (Sheol h7585)
For you will not abandon me in the grave, nor will you allow your Holy One to experience decay. (Sheol h7585)
11 Vous m’avez fait connaître les voies de la vie, vous me remplirez de joie par votre visage; des délices sont à votre droite pour toujours.
You have shown me the path of life, filling me with joy with your presence and the delight of living with you forever.
