Psaumes 130

1 Cantique des degrés.

“A song of the degrees.” Out of the depths have I called thee, O Lord.

2 Seigneur, écoutez ma voix. Que vos oreilles deviennent attentives à la voix de ma supplication.

Lord, listen to my voice: let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 Si vous observez les iniquités, Seigneur, Seigneur, qui résistera à votre jugement?

If thou, Lord, shouldst treasure up iniquities, O Lord, who would be able to stand?

4 Mais en vous est la propitiation, et à cause de votre loi, je vous ai attendu avec patience. Seigneur. Mon âme s’est soutenue par sa parole;

But with thee there is forgiveness, in order that thou mayest be feared.

5 Mon âme a espéré dans le Seigneur.

I hope for the Lord, my soul doth hope, and for his word do I wait.

6 Depuis la veille du matin jusqu’à la nuit, qu’Israël espère dans le Seigneur.

My soul [waiteth] for the Lord, more than they that watch for the morning expect the morning.

7 Parce que dans le Seigneur est la miséricorde, et en lui une abondante rédemption.

Let Israel wait for the Lord; for with the Lord there is kindness, and with him is redemption in abundance;

8 Et lui-même rachètera Israël de toutes ses iniquités.

And he wilt surely redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
