Psaumes 119
1 Bienheureux ceux qui sont sans tache dans la voie, qui marchent dans le Seigneur.
ALEPH. Blessed [are] the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2 Bienheureux ceux qui étudient ses témoignages; ils le recherchent de tout leur cœur.
Blessed [are] they that keep his testimonies, [and that] seek him with the whole heart.
3 Car ceux qui opèrent l’ iniquité n’ont pas marché dans ses voies.
They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
4 Vous avez ordonné que vos commandements soient gardés très exactement.
Thou hast commanded [us] to keep thy precepts diligently.
5 Plût à Dieu que toutes mes voies soient dirigées pour garder vos justifications!
O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
6 Alors je ne serai point confondu, quand je fixerai mes yeux sur vos commandements.
Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all thy commandments.
7 Je vous louerai dans la droiture de mon cœur, parce que j’ai appris les jugements de votre justice.
I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
8 Je garderai vos justifications: ne m’abandonnez pas entièrement.
I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.
9 Comment un jeune homme corrigera-t-il sa voie? en gardant vos paroles.
BETH. Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed [to it], according to thy word.
10 Je vous ai recherché de tout mon cœur, ne me repoussez pas de vos commandements.
With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 C’est dans mon cœur que j’ai caché vos paroles, afin que je ne pèche point contre vous.
Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Vous êtes béni, Seigneur, enseignez-moi vos justifications.
Blessed [art] thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13 J’ai prononcé de mes lèvres tous les jugements de votre bouche.
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 Dans la voie de vos témoignages, je me suis plu comme dans toutes les richesses.
I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as [much as] in all riches.
15 Je m’exercerai dans vos commandements, et je considérerai vos voies.
I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect to thy ways.
16 Je méditerai sur vos justifications, je n’oublierai pas vos paroles.
I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
17 Donnez son salaire à votre serviteur, rendez-moi la vie, et je garderai vos paroles.
GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, [that] I may live, and keep thy word.
18 Dévoilez mes yeux, et je considérerai les merveilles de votre loi.
Open thou my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
19 Moi je suis étranger sur la terre; ne me cachez point vos commandements.
I [am] a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20 Mon âme a désiré ardemment vos justifications, en tout temps.
My soul breaketh for the longing [that it hath] to thy judgments at all times.
21 Vous avez réprimandé des superbes, maudit ceux qui s’écartent de vos commandements.
Thou hast rebuked the proud [that are] cursed, who do err from thy commandments.
22 Ôtez de moi l’opprobre et le mépris, parce que j’ai recherché vos témoignages.
Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.
23 Car des princes se sont assis, et contre moi ils parlaient; mais votre serviteur s’exerçait sur vos justices.
Princes also did sit [and] speak against me: [but] thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
24 Car vos témoignages sont ma méditation, et mon conseil, vos justifications.
Thy testimonies also [are] my delight, [and] my counselors.
25 Mon âme s’est collée à la terre: vivifiez-moi selon votre parole.
DALETH. My soul cleaveth to the dust: revive thou me according to thy word.
26 Je vous ai dénoncé mes voies, et vous m’avez exaucé; enseignez-moi vos justifications.
I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.
27 Instruisez-moi de la voie de vos commandements, et je m’exercerai dans vos merveilles.
Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.
28 Mon âme s’est assoupie d’ennui; fortifiez-moi par vos paroles.
My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according to thy word.
29 Écartez de moi la voie de l’iniquité, et en vertu de votre loi, ayez pitié de moi.
Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.
30 J’ai choisi la voie de la vérité: je n’ai pas oublié vos jugements.
I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid [before me].
31 Je me suis attaché à vos témoignages. Seigneur, ne me confondez point.
I have adhered to thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.
32 J’ai couru dans la voie de vos commandements, lorsque vous avez dilaté mon cœur.
I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
33 Imposez-moi une loi, Seigneur, la voie de vos justifications, et je la rechercherai toujours.
HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it [to] the end.
34 Donnez-moi l’intelligence, et j’étudierai votre loi, et je la garderai dans tout mon cœur.
Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yes, I shall observe it with [my] whole heart.
35 Conduisez-moi dans le sentier de vos commandements, parce que c’est ce que j’ai voulu.
Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for in that do I delight.
36 Inclinez mon cœur vers vos témoignages, et non vers l’avarice.
Incline my heart to thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Détournez mes yeux, afin qu’ils ne voient pas la vanité: faites-moi vivre dans vos sentiers.
Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity; [and] revive thou me in thy way.
38 Établissez votre parole dans votre serviteur, par votre crainte.
Establish thy word to thy servant, who [is devoted] to thy fear.
39 Détruisez mon opprobre que j’ai appréhendé: vos jugements sont doux.
Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments [are] good.
40 Voilà que j’ai désiré vos commandements: par votre justice, vivifiez-moi.
Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: revive me in thy righteousness.
41 Et vienne sur moi votre miséricorde, Seigneur, et votre salut selon votre parole.
VAU. Let thy mercies come also to me, O LORD, [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 Et je répondrai à ceux qui m’outragent, un mot: c’est que j’ai espéré dans vos jugements.
So shall I have with which to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
43 Et n’ôtez pas entièrement de ma bouche la parole de vérité, parce qu’en vos jugements j’ai beaucoup espéré.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
44 Et je garderai votre loi toujours, dans les siècles et dans les siècles des siècles.
So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
45 Je marchais au large, parce que j’ai recherché vos commandements.
And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
46 Et je parlais de vos témoignages en présence des rois, et je n’étais pas confondu.
I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47 Et je méditais sur vos commandements, que j’ai toujours aimés.
And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48 Et j’ai levé mes mains vers vos commandements, que j’ai toujours aimés, et je m’exerçais dans vos justifications.
My hands also will I lift to thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
49 ZAIN. Souvenez-vous de votre parole à votre serviteur, par laquelle vous m’avez donné de l’espérance.
ZAIN. Remember the word to thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50 Ce qui m’a consolé dans mon humiliation, c’est que votre parole m’a donné la vie.
This [is] my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath revived me.
51 Des superbes agissaient avec une extrême iniquité, mais de votre loi je ne me suis pas écarté.
The proud have had me greatly in derision: [yet] I have not declined from thy law.
52 Je me suis souvenu, Seigneur, de vos jugements, qui sont dès avant les siècles, et j’ai été consolé.
I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.
53 La défaillance s’est emparée de moi, à cause des pécheurs qui abandonnent votre loi.
Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
54 L’objet de mes chants était vos justifications, dans le lieu de mon pèlerinage.
Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
55 Je me suis souvenu durant la nuit de votre nom. Seigneur, et j’ai gardé votre loi.
I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
56 Cela m’est arrivé, parce que j’ai recherché vos justifications.
This I had, because I kept thy precepts.
57 Ma part, Seigneur, je l’ai dit, c’est de garder votre loi.
CHETH. [Thou art] my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.
58 J’ai imploré votre face en tout mon cœur: ayez pitié de moi selon votre parole.
I entreated thy favor with [my] whole heart: be merciful to me according to thy word.
59 J’ai songé à mes voies, et j’ai tourné mes pieds vers vos témoignages.
I thought on my ways, and turned my feet to thy testimonies.
60 Je suis prêt, et je ne suis pas troublé; en sorte que je garderai vos commandements.
I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
61 Les liens des pécheurs m’ont enveloppé; mais je n’ai point oublié votre loi.
The bands of the wicked have robbed me: [but] I have not forgotten thy law.
62 Au milieu de la nuit, je me levais pour vous louer sur les jugements de votre justification.
At midnight I will rise to give thanks to thee, because of thy righteous judgments.
63 Je suis aussi en société avec tous ceux qui vous craignent, et qui gardent vos commandements.
I [am] a companion of all [them] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.
64 De votre miséricorde. Seigneur, la terre est pleine. Enseignez-moi vos justifications.
The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.
65 Vous avez usé de bonté envers votre serviteur, ô Seigneur, selon votre parole.
TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according to thy word.
66 Enseignez-moi la bonté, et la discipline, et la science, parce que j’ai cru à vos commandements.
Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Avant que je fusse humilié, j’ai péché; c’est pour cela que j’ai gardé votre parole.
Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
68 Vous êtes bon, vous, et dans votre bonté enseignez-moi vos justifications.
Thou [art] good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
69 Elle s’est multipliée contre moi, l’iniquité des superbes; mais moi en tout mon cœur j’étudierai vos commandements.
The proud have forged a lie against me: [but] I will keep thy precepts with [my] whole heart.
70 Leur cœur s’est coagulé comme du lait; mais moi j’ai médité votre loi.
Their heart is as gross as fat; [but] I delight in thy law.
71 Il m’est bon que vous m’ayez humilié, afin de m’apprendre vos justifications.
[It is] good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
72 La loi de votre bouche est bonne pour moi au dessus des miniers d’or et d’argent.
The law of thy mouth [is] better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Vos mains m’ont fait et m’ont formé; donnez-moi l’intelligence, afin que j’apprenne vos commandements.
JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Ceux qui vous craignent me verront, et se réjouiront, parce qu’en vos paroles j’ai espéré.
They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.
75 J’ai reconnu, Seigneur, que vos jugements sont équité, et que c’est dans votre vérité que vous m’avez humilié.
I know, O LORD, that thy judgments [are] right, and [that] thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.
76 Qu’elle se montre, votre miséricorde, afin qu’elle me console, selon votre parole à votre serviteur.
Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word to thy servant.
77 Viennent sur moi vos bontés, et je vivrai, parce que votre loi est ma méditation.
Let thy tender mercies come to me, that I may live: for thy law [is] my delight.
78 Qu’ils soient confondus, les superbes, parce qu’injustement ils ont commis l’iniquité contre moi: pour moi, je m’exercerai dans vos commandements.
Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: [but] I will meditate in thy precepts.
79 Qu’ils se tournent vers moi, ceux qui vous craignent et qui connaissent vos témoignages.
Let those that fear thee turn to me, and those that have known thy testimonies.
80 Devienne mon cœur sans tache dans vos justifications, afin que je ne sois pas confondu.
Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I may not be ashamed.
81 Mon âme a défailli dans l’attente de votre salut, et en votre parole j’ai beaucoup espéré.
CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: [but] I hope in thy word.
82 Mes yeux ont défailli dans l’attente de votre parole, disant: Quand me consolerez-vous?
My eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Parce que je suis devenu comme une outre dans la gelée: je n’ai pas oublié vos justifications.
For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; [yet] I do not forget thy statutes.
84 Quel est le nombre de jours de votre serviteur? quand ferez-vous justice de ceux qui me persécutent?
How many [are] the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
85 Des hommes iniques m’ont raconté des choses fabuleuses, mais ce n’est pas comme votre loi.
The proud have digged pits for me, which [are] not according to thy law.
86 Tous vos commandements sont vérité: iniquement ils m’ont persécuté, venez à mon aide.
All thy commandments [are] faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
87 Ils m’ont presque anéanti sur la terre; mais moi je n’ai pas abandonné vos commandements.
They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.
88 Selon votre miséricorde, rendez-moi la vie, et je garderai les témoignages de votre bouche.
Revive me after thy loving-kindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.
89 Éternellement, Seigneur, votre parole demeure dans le ciel.
LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90 À toutes les générations passe votre vérité: vous avez fondé la terre, et elle demeure stable.
Thy faithfulness [is] to all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
91 Par votre ordre persévère le jour, parce que toutes choses vous sont assujetties.
They continue this day according to thy ordinances: for all [are] thy servants.
92 Si ce n’était que votre loi est ma méditation, j’aurais peut-être péri dans mon humiliation.
Unless thy law [had been] my delights, I should then have perished in my affliction.
93 Éternellement je n’oublierai pas vos justifications, parce que c’est par elles-mêmes que vous m’avez rendu la vie.
I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast revived me.
94 C’est à vous que j’appartiens, sauvez-moi; parce que j’ai recherché vos justifications.
I [am] thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.
95 Des pécheurs m’ont attendu, afin de me perdre; mais j’ai compris vos témoignages.
The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: [but] I will consider thy testimonies.
96 J’ai vu la fin de toute perfection: votre commandement est étendu infiniment.
I have seen an end of all perfection: [but] thy commandment [is] exceeding broad.
97 Comme j’ai toujours aimé votre loi, Seigneur, tout le jour elle est ma méditation.
MEM. O how I love thy law! it [is] my meditation all the day.
98 Vous m’avez rendu plus prudent que mes ennemis par votre commandement, parce qu’il est pour jamais avec moi.
Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than my enemies: for they [are] ever with me.
99 J’ai été plus intelligent que tous ceux qui m’instruisaient, parce que vos témoignages sont ma méditation.
I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies [are] my (meditation)
100 J’ai été plus intelligent que les vieillards, parce que j’ai recherché vos commandements.
I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
101 De toute mauvaise voie j’ai détourné mes pieds, afin que je garde votre parole.
I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.
102 De vos jugements je ne me suis point écarté, parce que c’est vous qui m’avez prescrit une loi.
I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.
103 Que vos paroles sont douces à ma gorge, plus douces que le miel à ma bouche!
How sweet are thy words to my taste! [yes, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!
104 Par vos commandements j’ai acquis de l’intelligence: c’est pour cela que j’ai haï toute voie d’iniquité.
Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
105 C’est une lampe à mes pieds que votre parole, et une lumière dans mes sentiers.
NUN. Thy word [is] a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
106 J’ai juré, et j’ai résolu de garder les jugements de votre justice.
I have sworn, and I will perform [it], that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
107 J’ai été extrêmement humilié, Seigneur, rendez-moi la vie selon votre parole.
I am afflicted very much: revive me, O LORD, according to thy word.
108 Ayez pour agréables les hommages volontaires de ma bouche, Seigneur, et enseignez-moi vos jugements.
Accept, I beseech thee, the free-will-offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.
109 Mon âme est toujours en mes mains, et je n’ai pas oublié votre loi.
My soul [is] continually in my hand: yet I do not forget thy law.
110 Des pécheurs m’ont tendu un piège, et je n’ai point erré loin de vos commandements.
The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.
111 C’est en héritage que j’ai acquis pour jamais vos témoignages, parce qu’ils sont l’exultation de mon cœur.
Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they [are] the rejoicing of my heart.
112 J’ai incliné mon cœur à accomplir pour jamais vos justifications, à cause de la récompense.
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes always, [even to] the end.
113 J’ai eu en haine les hommes iniques, et j’ai aimé votre loi.
SAMECH. I hate [vain] thoughts: but thy law do I love.
114 Mon aide et mon soutien, c’est vous, et en votre parole j’ai beaucoup espéré.
Thou [art] my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
115 Éloignez-vous de moi, méchants, et j’étudierai les commandements de mon Dieu.
Depart from me, ye evil-doers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.
116 Soutenez-moi selon votre parole, et je vivrai, et ne me confondez pas dans mon attente.
Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
117 Aidez-moi, et je serai sauvé; et je méditerai toujours sur vos justifications.
Support me, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect to thy statutes continually.
118 Vous avez méprisé tous ceux qui s’éloignent de vos jugements, parce que leur pensée est injuste.
Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.
119 J’ai regardé comme prévariquant tous les pécheurs de la terre: c’est pourquoi j’ai aimé vos témoignages.
Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth [like] dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.
120 Transpercez mes chairs de votre crainte; à la vue de vos jugements j’ai craint.
My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.
121 J’ai fait jugement et justice; ne me livrez pas à ceux qui me calomnient.
AIN. I have done judgment and justice; leave me not to my oppressors.
122 Protégez votre serviteur pour le bien, que les superbes ne me calomnient point.
Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
123 Mes yeux ont défailli dans l’attente de votre salut, et dans l’attente de la parole de votre justice.
My eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
124 Agissez avec votre serviteur selon votre miséricorde, et enseignez-moi vos justifications.
Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
125 Je suis votre serviteur, moi, donnez-moi l’intelligence, afin que je connaisse vos témoignages.
I [am] thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
126 Il est temps d’agir. Seigneur, ils ont dissipé votre loi.
[It is] time for [thee], LORD, to work: [for] they have made void thy law.
127 C’est pour cela que j’ai aimé votre loi au-dessus de l’or et de la topaze.
Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yes, above fine gold.
128 C’est pour cela que je me dirigeais vers tous vos commandements, et que j’ai eu toute voie inique en haine.
Therefore I esteem all [thy] precepts [concerning] all [things to be] right; [and] I hate every false way.
129 Admirables sont vos témoignages; c’est pour cela que mon âme les a étudiés.
PE. Thy testimonies [are] wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.
130 La manifestation de vos paroles illumine, elle donne l’intelligence aux petits.
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding to the simple.
131 J’ai ouvert ma bouche, et j’ai attiré l’air, parce que je désirais vos commandements.
I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.
132 Jetez un regard sur moi, et ayez pitié de moi, selon votre équité à l’égard de ceux qui aiment votre nom.
Look thou upon me, and be merciful to me, as thou usest to do to those that love thy name.
133 Dirigez mes pas selon votre parole, qu’aucune injustice ne me domine.
Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Délivrez-moi des calomnies des hommes, afin que je garde vos justifications.
Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.
135 Faites briller la lumière de votre face sur votre serviteur, et enseignez-moi vos justifications.
Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thy statutes.
136 Mes yeux ont fait couler des cours d’eaux, parce qu’ils ont violé votre loi.
Rivers of waters run down my eyes, because they keep not thy law.
137 Vous êtes juste, Seigneur, et droit est votre jugement.
TSADDI. Righteous [art] thou, O LORD, and upright [are] thy judgments.
138 Vous avez établi la justice, vos témoignages et votre vérité très solidement.
Thy testimonies [that] thou hast commanded [are] righteous and very faithful.
139 Mon zèle m’a fait sécher, parce que mes ennemis ont oublié vos paroles.
My zeal hath consumed me; because my enemies have forgotten thy words.
140 Votre parole a été très éprouvée par le feu, et votre serviteur l’a aimée.
Thy word [is] very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
141 Je suis jeune et méprisé, mais je n’ai pas oublié vos justifications.
I [am] small and despised: [yet] I do not forget thy precepts.
142 Votre justice est justice éternellement, et votre loi vérité.
Thy righteousness [is] an everlasting righteousness, and thy law [is] the truth.
143 La tribulation et l’angoisse m’ont atteint, vos commandements, c’est ma méditation.
Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: [yet] thy commandments [are] my delights.
144 Vos témoignages sont équités éternellement: donnez-moi l’intelligence et je vivrai.
The righteousness of thy testimonies [is] everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
145 J’ai crié en tout mon cœur, exaucez-moi. Seigneur, je rechercherai vos justifications.
KOPH. I cried with [my] whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.
146 J’ai crié vers vous, sauvez-moi, afin que je garde vos commandements.
I cried to thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.
147 Je me suis hâté de bonne heure, et j’ai crié, parce qu’en vos paroles j’ai beaucoup espéré.
I came before the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.
148 Mes yeux vous ont prévenu dès le point du jour, afin que je méditasse vos paroles.
My eyes anticipated the [night] watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
149 Écoutez ma voix selon votre miséricorde, Seigneur, et selon votre jugement donnez-moi la vie.
Hear my voice, according to thy loving-kindness: O LORD, revive me according to thy judgment.
150 Ils se sont approchés de l’iniquité, ceux qui me persécutent, et ils se sont éloignés de votre loi.
They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.
151 Vous êtes proche, vous, Seigneur, et toutes vos voies sont vérité.
Thou [art] near, O LORD; and all thy commandments [are] truth.
152 Dès le commencement j’ai reconnu touchant vos témoignages, que vous les avez fondés pour l’éternité.
Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.
153 Voyez mon humiliation, et délivrez-moi, parce que je n’ai pas oublié votre loi.
RESH. Consider my affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.
154 Jugez mon jugement et rachetez-moi: à cause de votre parole, donnez-moi la vie.
Plead my cause, and deliver me: revive me according to thy word.
155 Loin des pécheurs est le salut, parce qu’ils n’ont pas recherché vos justifications.
Salvation [is] far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.
156 Vos miséricordes sont nombreuses, Seigneur: selon votre jugement donnez-moi la vie.
Great [are] thy tender mercies, O LORD: revive me according to thy judgments.
157 Nombreux sont ceux qui me persécutent et qui me tourmentent; mais je ne me suis point détourné de vos témoignages,
Many [are] my persecutors and my enemies; [yet] I do not decline from thy testimonies.
158 J’ai vu des prévariquants et j’ai séché, parce qu’ils n’ont pas gardé vos paroles.
I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.
159 Voyez que j’ai aimé vos commandements, Seigneur: dans votre miséricorde donnez-moi la vie.
Consider how I love thy precepts: revive me, O LORD, according to thy loving-kindness.
160 Le principe de vos paroles est vérité: éternels sont tous les jugements de votre justice.
Thy word [is] true [from] the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments [endureth] for ever.
161 Des princes m’ont persécuté gratuitement, et mon cœur a redouté vos paroles.
SCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.
162 Pour moi, je me réjouirai dans vos paroles, comme celui qui a trouvé de grandes dépouilles.
I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
163 J’ai eu l’iniquité en haine et en abomination; mais j’ai aimé votre loi.
I hate and abhor lying: [but] thy law do I love.
164 Sept fois le jour, je vous ai adressé une louange, sur les jugements de votre justice.
Seven times a day do I praise thee, because of thy righteous judgments.
165 Paix abondante pour ceux qui aiment votre loi; il n’y a pas pour eux de scandale.
Great peace have they who love thy law: and nothing shall cause them to stumble.
166 J’attendais votre salut, Seigneur, et j’ai aimé vos commandements.
LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and performed thy commandments.
167 Mon âme a gardé vos témoignages, et elle les a aimés ardemment.
My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.
168 J’ai observé vos commandements et vos témoignages, parce que toutes mes voies sont en votre présence.
I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways [are] before thee.
169 Que ma supplication approche de votre présence. Seigneur; selon votre parole donnez-moi l’intelligence.
TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.
170 Que ma demande pénètre en votre présence, selon votre parole délivrez-moi.
Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.
171 Mes lèvres feront retentir un hymne, lorsque vous m’aurez enseigné vos justifications.
My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
172 Ma langue publiera votre parole, parce que tous vos commandements sont équité.
My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments [are] righteousness.
173 Que votre main soit sur moi pour me sauver, parce que j’ai fait choix de vos commandements.
Let thy hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.
174 J’ai désiré votre salut, Seigneur, et votre loi est ma méditation.
I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law [is] my delight.
175 Mon âme vivra, et vous louera, et vos jugements me viendront en aide.
Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.
176 J’ai erré comme une brebis qui s’est perdue: cherchez votre serviteur, parce que je n’ai pas oublié vos commandements.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.
