Psaumes 116
1 Alléluia. J’ai aimé, parce que le Seigneur exaucera la voix de ma prière.
I LOVE the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
2 Parce qu’il a incliné son oreille vers moi, pendant tous mes jours je l’invoquerai.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call [upon him] as long as I live.
The cords of death compassed me, and the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
4 Et j’ai invoqué le nom du Seigneur.
Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
5 Le Seigneur est miséricordieux et juste, et notre Dieu a de la pitié.
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
6 Le Seigneur garde les petits: j’ai été humilié, et il m’a délivré.
The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.
7 Rentre, ô mon âme, en ton repos, parce que le Seigneur a été bon pour toi.
Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 Parce qu’il a arraché mon âme à la mort, mes yeux aux larmes, mes pieds à la chute.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, [and] my feet from falling.
9 Je plairai au Seigneur dans la région des vivants.
I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 J’ai cru, c’est pourquoi j’ai parlé; mais j’ai été humilié jusqu’à l’excès.
I believe, for I will speak: I was greatly afflicted:
11 J’ai dit dans mon transport: Tout homme est menteur.
I said in my haste, All men are a lie.
12 Que rendrai-je au Seigneur pour tous les biens qu’il m’a faits?
What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
13 Je prendrai le calice du salut, et j’invoquerai le nom du Seigneur.
I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
14 Je rendrai mes vœux au Seigneur devant tout son peuple;
I will pay my vows unto the LORD, yea, in the presence of all his people.
15 Précieuse est, en présence du Seigneur, la mort de ses saints.
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
16 Ô Seigneur, parce que je suis votre serviteur, je suis votre serviteur, et fils de votre servante. Vous avez rompu mes liens;
O LORD, truly I am thy servant: I am thy servant, the son of thine handmaid; thou hast loosed my bonds.
17 C’est à vous que je sacrifierai une hostie de louange, et j’invoquerai le nom du Seigneur.
I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.
18 Je rendrai mes vœux au Seigneur en présence de tout son peuple,
I will pay my vows unto the LORD, yea, in the presence of all his people.
19 Dans les parvis de la maison du Seigneur, au milieu de toi, Jérusalem.
In the courts of the LORD’S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
