Psaumes 101

1 Psaume à David (ou de David lui même).

A Psalm of David. I will sing of loving-kindness and judgment: unto thee, Jehovah, will I sing psalms.

2 Et je m’appliquerai à comprendre une voie sans tache, quand vous viendrez vers moi.

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. When wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.

3 Je ne me proposais point devant les yeux de chose injuste: ceux qui commettaient des prévarications, je les ai haïs.

I will set no thing of Belial before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

4 De cœur pervers: je ne connaissais pas le méchant qui s’éloignait de moi.

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know evil.

5 Celui qui en secret disait du mal de son prochain, je le poursuivais.

Whoso secretly slandereth his neighbour, him will I destroy; him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer.

6 Mes yeux étaient sur les fidèles de la terre, afin qu’ils fussent assis près de moi: celui qui marchait dans une voie sans tache était celui qui me servait.

Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

7 Il n’habitera pas dans l’intérieur de ma maison, celui qui agit avec orgueil; celui qui dit des choses iniques n’a pas dirigé sa voie devant mes yeux.

He that practiseth deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehoods shall not subsist in my sight.

8 Dès le matin, je tuais tous les pécheurs de la terre, afin d’exterminer de la cité de Dieu tous ceux qui opèrent l’iniquité.

Every morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land: to cut off all workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah.
