1 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse et à Aaron, disant:
And YHWH spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2 Fais le dénombrement des fils de Caath d’entre les Lévites, selon leurs familles et leurs maisons,
Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers,
3 Depuis trente ans et au dessus, jusqu’à cinquante ans, de tous ceux qui entrent, pour se tenir et servir dans le tabernacle d’alliance.
From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
4 Voici la fonction des fils de Caath: C’est dans le tabernacle et le Saint des saints
This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things:
5 Qu’entreront Aaron et ses fils, quand le camp devra être levé, et ils ôteront le voile qui est suspendu devant la porte, et ils en envelopperont l’arche du témoignage,
And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:
6 Et ils le couvriront encore d’une couverture de peaux violettes, et ils étendront par-dessus un drap tout d’hyacinthe, et ils introduiront les leviers.
And shall put thereon the covering of badgers' skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.
7 Ils envelopperont aussi la table de proposition d’un drap d’hyacinthe, et ils mettront avec elle les encensoirs, les petits mortiers, les tasses et les coupes pour faire les libations; et les pains seront toujours sur elle;
And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:
8 Et ils étendront par-dessus un drap d’écarlate qu’ils couvriront encore d’une couverture de peaux violettes, et ils y introduiront les leviers.
And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put in the staves thereof.
9 Ils prendront de plus un drap d’hyacinthe dont ils couvriront le chandelier avec ses lampes, ses pincettes, ses mouchettes et tous les vases d’huile qui sont nécessaires pour entretenir les lampes.
And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:
10 Et sur toutes ces choses ils poseront une couverture de peaux violettes, et ils introduiront les leviers.
And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put it upon a bar.
11 Et l’autel d’or aussi, ils l’envelopperont d’un drap d’hyacinthe, et ils étendront par-dessus une couverture de peaux violettes, et ils y introduiront les leviers.
And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:
12 Tous les vases avec lesquels se fait le service dans le sanctuaire, ils les envelopperont dans un drap d’hyacinthe, et ils étendront par-dessus une couverture de peaux violettes, et ils introduiront les leviers.
And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put them on a bar:
13 Mais ils nettoieront aussi l’autel de ses cendres, et ils l’envelopperont dans un drap de pourpre,
And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:
14 Et ils y mettront avec lui tous les vases dont ils se servent pour son ministère, c’est-à-dire les brasiers, les fourchettes, les tridents, les crocs et les pelles. Ils couvriront ensemble tous les vases de l’autel d’une couverture de peaux violettes, et ils introduiront les leviers.
And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skins, and put to the staves of it.
15 Or, lorsque Aaron et ses fils auront enveloppé le sanctuaire et tous ses vases, au lever du camp, les fils de Caath entreront pour les porter ainsi enveloppés; mais ils ne toucheront point les vases du sanctuaire, de peur qu’ils ne meurent. Telles sont dans le tabernacle d’alliance les charges des fils de Caath,
And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
16 Au-dessus desquels sera Eléazar, fils d’Aaron, le prêtre, au soin de qui appartient l’huile pour entretenir les lampes, le parfum de composition, le sacrifice perpétuel, l’huile de l’onction et tout ce qui appartient au service du tabernacle et de tous les vases qui sont dans le tabernacle.
And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
17 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse et à Aaron, disant:
And YHWH spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
18 Ne détruisez point le peuple de Caath du milieu des Lévites;
Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:
19 Mais faites ceci pour eux, afin qu’ils vivent et qu’ils ne meurent point, s’ils touchent le Saint des saints. Aaron et ses fils entreront, et ils disposeront eux-mêmes les ouvrages de tous séparément, et ils partageront ce que chacun doit porter.
But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:
20 Que les autres ne voient nullement avec curiosité ce qui est dans le sanctuaire, avant qu’il soit enveloppé, autrement ils mourront.
But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.
21 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
And YHWH spake unto Moses, saying,
22 Fais aussi le dénombrement des enfants de Gerson, selon leurs maisons, leurs familles et leur parenté,
Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families;
23 Depuis trente ans et au-dessus jusqu’à cinquante ans. Dénombre tous ceux qui entrent et qui servent dans le tabernacle d’alliance.
From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
24 L’office de la famille des Gersonites est,
This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens:
25 Qu’ils portent les rideaux du tabernacle et le toit d’alliance, l’autre couverture, puis la couverture violette qui est par-dessus tout, et le voile qui est suspendu à l’entrée du tabernacle d’alliance;
And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers' skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,
26 Les rideaux du parvis et le voile de l’entrée, qui est devant le tabernacle. Tout ce qui appartient à l’autel, les cordages et les vases de service,
And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.
27 Au commandement d’Aaron et de ses fils, les fils de Gerson le porteront, et chacun saura à quelle charge il doit être soumis.
At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.
28 Tel est l’emploi de la famille des Gersonites dans le tabernacle d’alliance; et ils seront sous la main d’Ithamar, fils d’Aaron le prêtre.
This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29 Tu recenseras aussi les fils de Mérari selon leurs maisons et les familles de leurs pères,
As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers;
30 Depuis trente ans et au-dessus jusqu’à cinquante ans, tous ceux qui entrent pour l’office de leur ministère, et le service de l’alliance de témoignage.
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.
31 Voici leurs charges: ils porteront les ais du tabernacle, ses leviers, ses colonnes et leurs soubassements,
And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and sockets thereof,
32 Et aussi les colonnes autour du parvis avec leurs soubassements, leurs pieux et leurs cordages. Ils prendront le compte de tous les vases et des autres objets, et c’est ainsi qu’ils les porteront.
And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden.
33 Tel est l’office des familles des Mérarites et leur ministère dans le tabernacle d’alliance; et ils sont sous la main d’Ithamar, fils d’Aaron, le prêtre.
This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
34 Moïse donc, Aaron et les princes de la synagogue recensèrent les fils de Caath, selon leur parenté et les maisons de leurs pères,
And Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
35 Depuis trente ans et au-dessus jusqu’à cinquante ans, tous ceux qui entrent au service du tabernacle d’alliance;
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation:
36 Et il s’en trouva deux mille sept cent cinquante.
And those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37 C’est là le nombre du peuple de Caath qui entrent dans le tabernacle d’alliance: Moïse et Aaron les dénombrèrent, selon la parole du Seigneur, par l’entremise de Moïse.
These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of YHWH by the hand of Moses.
38 Les fils de Gerson aussi furent dénombrés selon leur parenté et les maisons de leurs pères,
And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers,
39 Depuis trente ans et au-dessus, jusqu’à cinquante ans, tous ceux qui entrent pour servir dans le tabernacle d’alliance;
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,
40 Et il s’en trouva deux mille six cent trente.
Even those that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.
41 C’est là le peuple des Gersonites, que dénombrèrent Moïse et Aaron, selon la parole du Seigneur.
These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of YHWH.
42 Ensuite furent dénombrés les fils de Mérari selon leur parenté et les maisons de leurs pères,
And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers,
43 Depuis trente ans et au-dessus, jusqu’à cinquante ans, tous ceux qui entrent pour accomplir les rites du tabernacle d’alliance;
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,
44 Et il s’en trouva trois mille deux cents.
Even those that were numbered of them after their families, were three thousand and two hundred.
45 Tel est le nombre des fils de Mérari que recensèrent Moïse et Aaron, selon l’ordre du Seigneur, par l’entremise de Moïse.
These be those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of YHWH by the hand of Moses.
46 Tous ceux qui furent recensés d’entre les Lévites, et que firent recenser par leurs noms, Moïse, Aaron et les princes d’Israël, selon leur parenté et les maisons de leurs pères,
All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
47 Depuis trente ans et au-dessus, jusqu’à cinquante ans, entrant pour le service du tabernacle et pour porter les fardeaux,
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation,
48 Furent en tout huit mille cinq cent quatre-vingts.
Even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore.
49 C’est selon la parole du Seigneur que Moïse les recensa, chacun selon son office et ses charges, comme lui avait ordonné le Seigneur.
According to the commandment of YHWH they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as YHWH commanded Moses.
