Michée 5
1 Maintenant tu seras ravagée, ville de voleurs; ils ont mis le siège devant nous; avec la verge ils frapperont la joue du juge d’Israël.
Now shalt thou be laid waste, O daughter of the robber: they have laid siege against us, with a rod shall they strike the cheek of the judge of Israel.
2 Et toi, Bethléem Ephrata, tu es très petit entre les mille de Juda; de toi sortira pour moi celui qui doit être le dominateur en Israël, et sa génération est du commencement, des jours de l’éternité.
AND THOU, BETHLEHEM Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Juda: out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity.
3 À cause de cela, il les livrera jusqu’au jour où celle qui doit enfanter enfantera, et les restes de ses frères se tourneront vers les fils d’Israël.
Therefore will he give them up even till the time wherein she that travaileth shall bring forth: and the remnant of his brethren shall be converted to the children of Israel.
4 Et il demeurera ferme, et il paîtra son troupeau dans la force du Seigneur, dans la sublimité du nom du Seigneur son Dieu; et ils se convertiront, parce qu’alors il sera glorifié jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre.
And he shall stand, and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the height of the name of the Lord his God: and they shall be converted, for now shall he be magnified even to the ends of the earth.
5 Et celui-ci sera la paix: lorsque l’Assyrien sera venu dans notre terre, et qu’il aura foulé aux pieds le pavé de nos maisons, nous susciterons contre lui sept pasteurs et huit hommes du premier rang.
And this man shall be our peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land, and when he shall set his foot in our houses: and we shall raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
6 Et ils gouverneront la terre d’Assur avec le glaive, et la terre de Nemrod avec ses propres lances; et il nous délivrera de l’Assyrien, lorsqu’il sera venu dans notre terre, et qu’il aura foulé aux pieds le sol de nos confins.
And they shall feed the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nemrod with the spears thereof: and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian, when he shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our borders.
7 Et les restes de Jacob seront au milieu de beaucoup de peuples comme la rosée du Seigneur, comme des gouttes sur l’herbe, qui n’attend pas un homme, et n’espère pas dans les fils des hommes.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples as a dew from the Lord, and as drops upon the grass, which waiteth not for man, nor tarrieth for the children of men.
8 Et les restes de Jacob seront parmi les nations, et au milieu de beaucoup de peuples, comme un lion parmi les bêtes des forêts, comme le petit d’un lion parmi les troupes de menu bétail; lorsqu’il a traversé un troupeau, et foulé aux pieds, et ravi sa proie, il n’y a personne qui la lui arrache.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many peoples as a lion among the beasts of the forests, and as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who when he shall go through and tread down, and take, there is none to deliver.
9 Ta main s’élèvera sur ceux qui te combattent, et tous tes ennemis périront.
Thy hand shall be lifted up over thy enemies, and all thy enemies shall be cut off.
10 Et il arrivera en ce jour-là, dit le Seigneur, j’enlèverai tes chevaux du milieu de toi, et je briserai tes quadriges.
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will take away thy horses out of the midst of thee, and will destroy thy chariots.
11 Et je ruinerai les cités de ton pays, et je détruirai toutes tes fortifications; j’enlèverai les maléfices de ta main, et il n’y aura plus de divinations dans toi.
And I will destroy the cities of thy land, and will throw down all thy strong holds,
12 Et je ferai périr tes images taillées au ciseau et les statues du milieu de toi, et tu n’adoreras plus les ouvrages de tes mains.
and I will take away sorceries out of thy hand, and there shall be no divinations in thee.
13 Et j’arracherai tes bocages du milieu de toi, et je briserai tes cités.
And I will destroy thy graven things, and thy statues out of the midst of thee: and thou shalt no more adore the works of thy hands.
14 Et j’exercerai dans ma fureur et dans mon indignation la vengeance sur toutes les nations qui ne m’ont pas écouté.
And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: and will crush thy cities.
And I will execute vengeance in wrath and in indignation among all the nations that have not given ear.
