Matthieu 16
1 Alors vinrent à lui les pharisiens et les sadducéens, pour le tenter, et ils le prièrent de leur faire voir un prodige dans le ciel.
And having approached the Pharisees and Sadducees, testing they asked Him a sign out of heaven to show them.
2 Mais Jésus répondant leur dit: Le soir venu, vous dites: Il fera beau, car le ciel est rouge.
And answering He said to them; Evening having come you say; Fair weather, is red for the sky.
3 Et le matin: Aujourd’hui, de l’orage, car le ciel est sombre et rougeâtre.
And in the morning; Today a storm, is red for being overcast the sky. (hypocrites *K*) The indeed appearance of the sky you know [how] to discern, however the signs of the times not you are able?
4 Vous savez donc juger l’aspect du ciel, et vous ne savez pas reconnaître les signes des temps? Une génération méchante et adultère demande un prodige, et il ne lui sera point donné de prodige, si ce n’est le prodige du prophète Jonas. Et les ayant quittés, il s’en alla.
A generation evil and adulterous a sign seeks; and a sign not will be given to it only except the sign of Jonah (prophet. *K*) And having left them He went away.
5 Or, lorsque ses disciples étaient venus de l’autre côté de la mer, ils avaient oublié de prendre des pains.
And having come the disciples (of him *k*) to the other side they forgot bread to take.
6 Jésus leur dit: Gardez-vous soigneusement du levain des pharisiens et des sadducéens.
And Jesus said to them; do watch and do beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
7 Mais eux pensaient en eux-mêmes, disant: C’est parce que nous n’avons pas pris de pains.
And they were reasoning among themselves saying Because bread not we took.
8 Or Jésus le sachant dit: Pourquoi pensez-vous en vous-mêmes, hommes de peu de foi, à ce que vous n’avez pas de pains?
Having known [this] however Jesus said (to them: *k*) Why reason you among yourselves, O [you] of little faith, because bread not (you take? *N(K)O*)
9 Ne comprenez-vous pas encore, et ne vous souvient-il point des cinq pains distribués aux cinq mille hommes, et combien de corbeilles vous avez remportées?
Not yet do you understand nor remember the five loaves for the five thousand and how many hand-baskets you gathered?
10 Ni des sept pains distribués aux quatre mille hommes et combien de corbeilles vous avez remportées?
Nor [remember] the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you gathered?
11 Comment ne comprenez-vous point que ce n’est pas au sujet du pain que je vous ai dit: Gardez-vous du levain des pharisiens et des sadducéens?
How not understand you that not concerning (loaves *N(k)O*) I spoke to you? (do beware *N(k)O*) (also *no*) of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees!
12 Alors ils comprirent qu’il n’avait pas dit de se garder du levain des pains, mais de la doctrine des pharisiens et des sadducéens.
Then they understood that not He said to beware of the leaven (of the loaves *N(k)O*) but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
13 Or Jésus vint aux environs de Césarée de Philippe, et il interrogeait ses disciples, disant: Quel est celui que les hommes disent être le Fils de l’homme?
Having come then Jesus into the district of Caesarea Philippi He was questioning the disciples of Him saying; Whom (Me *k*) do pronounce men to be the Son of man?
14 Ceux-ci répondirent: Les uns disent que c’est Jean-Baptiste; d’autres, Élie; d’autres Jérémie, ou quelqu’un des prophètes.
And they said: Some indeed, John the Baptist, others however, Elijah, others however, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.
15 Jésus leur demanda: Et vous, qui dites-vous que je suis?
He says to them; You yourselves but whom Me do you pronounce to be?
16 Prenant la parole, Simon Pierre dit: Vous êtes le Christ, le fils du Dieu vivant.
Answering now Simon Peter said; You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the living.
17 Et Jésus répondant, lui dit: Tu es heureux, Simon, fils de Jean, car ni la chair ni le sang ne t’ont révélé ceci, mais mon Père qui est dans les cieux.
(and *k*) Answering (now *no*) Jesus said to him; Blessed are you, Simon Barjona! For flesh and blood not revealed [it] to you but the Father of Mine who [is] in the heavens.
18 Aussi moi je te dis que tu es Pierre, et sur cette pierre je bâtirai mon Église, et les portes de l’enfer ne prévaudront point contre elle. (Hadēs g86)
I myself also I myself also now to you say that you yourself are Peter and on this the rock I will build My church, and [the] gates of hades not will prevail against it. (Hadēs g86)
19 Et je te donnerai les clefs du royaume des cieux; et tout ce que tu lieras sur la terre sera lié aussi dans les cieux; et tout ce que tu délieras sur la terre, sera aussi délié dans les cieux.
(and *ko*) I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatever (if *NK(o)*) you shall bind on the earth, will be bound in the heavens, and whatever (maybe *NK(o)*) you shall loose on the earth, will be loosed in the heavens.
20 Alors il commanda à ses disciples de ne dire à personne qu’il était lui-même Jésus le Christ.
Then (he ordered *NK(O)*) the disciples (of him *k*) that to no one they may say that He himself is (Jesus *k*) the Christ.
21 Dès lors Jésus commença à découvrir à ses disciples qu’il fallait qu’il allât à Jérusalem, qu’il souffrît beaucoup de la part des anciens, des scribes et des princes des prêtres; qu’il fût mis à mort et que le troisième jour il ressuscitât.
From that time began Jesus (Christ *O*) to show to the disciples of Him that it is necessary for Him to Jerusalem to go away and many things to suffer from the elders and chief priests and scribes and to be killed and on the third day to be raised.
22 Et, le prenant à part, Pierre se mit a Le reprendre, disant: À Dieu ne plaise. Seigneur! cela ne vous arrivera point.
And having taken aside Him Peter began to rebuke Him saying; Far be it from You, Lord; certainly not will be to You this.
23 Mais Jésus se retournant, dit à Pierre: Retire-toi de moi, Satan; tu es un scandale pour moi, parce que tu ne goûtes pas ce qui est de Dieu, mais ce qui est des hommes.
And having turned He said to Peter; do go behind Me Satan! A stumbling block you are (to me, *N(k)O*) For not your thoughts are of those of God but [of] the [things] of men.
24 Alors Jésus dit à ses disciples: Si quelqu’un veut venir après moi, qu’il renonce à lui-même, qu’il porte sa croix et me suive.
Then Jesus said to the disciples of Him; If anyone desires after Me to come, he should deny himself and he should take up the cross of him and he should follow Me.
25 Car qui voudra sauver son âme, la perdra; mais qui perdra son âme à cause de moi, la trouvera.
Who[ever] for (maybe *N(k)O*) shall desire the life of him to save, will lose it; who[ever] however maybe shall lose the life of him on account of Me, will find it.
26 Et que sert à l’homme de gagner le monde entier, s’il perd son âme? Ou que donnera l’homme en échange de son âme?
What for (will it be profitable *N(k)O*) [for] a man, if the world whole he shall gain, but the soul of him shall lose? Or what will give a man [as] an exchange for the soul of him?
27 Car le Fils de l’homme viendra dans la gloire de son Père avec ses anges; et alors il rendra à chacun selon ses œuvres.
Is about for the Son of the man to come in the glory of the Father of Him with the angels of Him and then He will give to each according to the deeds of him.
28 En vérité, je vous dis: Il y en a quelques-uns ici présents, qui ne goûteront pas de la mort jusqu’à ce qu’ils voient le Fils de l’homme venant dans son royaume.
Amen I say to you (that *no*) there are some of those here (already standing *NK(o)*) who certainly not shall taste of death until when they may have seen the Son of Man coming in the kingdom of Him.
