Luc 21
1 Or Jésus, regardant, vit des riches qui mettaient leurs aumônes dans le tronc.
And he looked up and saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury;
2 Il vit aussi une pauvre veuve mettant deux petites pièces de monnaie.
but he saw also a certain poor widow casting therein two mites.
3 Et il dit: En vérité, je vous le dis, cette pauvre veuve a mis plus que tous les autres.
And he said, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow has cast in more than all;
4 Car tous ceux-là ont mis pour offrandes à Dieu, de leur superflu; mais elle, elle a mis de son indigence même, tout le vivre qu’elle avait.
for all these out of their abundance have cast into the gifts [of God]; but she out of her need has cast in all the living which she had.
5 Et quelques-uns disant du temple, qu’il était bâti de belles pierres, et orné de dons, il répondit:
And as some spoke of the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones and consecrated offerings, he said,
6 Viendront des jours où de ce que vous voyez, il ne restera pas pierre sur pierre, qui ne soit détruite.
[As to] these things which ye are beholding, days are coming in which there shall not be left stone upon stone which shall not be thrown down.
7 Et ils l’interrogèrent, disant: Maître, quand ces choses arriveront-elles, et quel sera le signe qu’elles commenceront de s’accomplir?
And they asked him saying, Teacher, when then shall these things be; and what [is] the sign when these things are going to take place?
8 Jésus dit: Prenez garde d’être séduits; car beaucoup viendront en mon nom, disant: C’est moi, et le temps approche; ne les suivez donc point.
And he said, See that ye be not led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am [he], and the time is drawn nigh: go ye not [therefore] after them.
9 Et quand vous entendrez parler de guerres et de séditions, n’en soyez point effrayés; il faut auparavant que ces choses arrivent; mais ce n’est pas encore sitôt la fin.
And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end is not immediately.
10 Alors il leur disait: Une nation se soulèvera contre une nation, un royaume contre un royaume.
Then he said to them, Nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;
11 Il y aura de grands tremblements de terre en divers lieux, et des pestes, et des famines, et des signes effrayants dans le ciel, et de grands prodiges.
there shall be both great earthquakes in different places, and famines and pestilences; and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
12 Mais avant tout cela, on mettra la main sur vous, et on vous persécutera, vous livrant aux synagogues et aux prisons, vous traînant devant les rois et les gouverneurs à cause de mon nom.
But before all these things they shall lay their hands upon you and persecute you, delivering [you] up to synagogues and prisons, bringing [you] before kings and governors on account of my name;
13 Or cela vous arrivera en témoignage.
but it shall turn out to you for a testimony.
14 Mettez donc bien dans vos cœurs de ne point préméditer comment vous répondrez.
Settle therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand [your] defence,
15 Car je vous donnerai moi-même une bouche et une sagesse à laquelle tous vos adversaires ne pourront résister, ni rien opposer.
for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your opposers shall not be able to reply to or resist.
16 Vous serez livrés par vos pères et vos mères, par vos frères, vos parents et vos amis, et ils en mettront à mort d’entre vous.
But ye will be delivered up even by parents and brethren and relations and friends, and they shall put to death [some] from among you,
17 Et vous serez en haine à tous à cause de mon nom;
and ye will be hated of all for my name's sake.
18 Mais pas un cheveu de votre tête ne périra.
And a hair of your head shall in no wise perish.
19 C’est par votre patience que vous posséderez vos âmes.
By your patient endurance gain your souls.
20 Or, quand vous verrez Jérusalem investie par une armée, sachez que sa désolation est proche:
But when ye see Jerusalem encompassed with armies, then know that its desolation is drawn nigh.
21 Alors, que ceux qui sont dans la Judée fuient vers les montagnes, que ceux qui sont au milieu d’elle s’en éloignent; et que ceux qui sont dans les contrées n’y entrent point.
Then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains, and those who are in the midst of it depart out, and those who are in the country not enter into it;
22 Parce que ce sont là des jours de vengeance, afin que s’accomplisse tout ce qui est écrit.
for these are days of avenging, that all the things that are written may be accomplished.
23 Mais malheur aux femmes enceintes et à celles qui nourriront en ces jours-là; car il y aura une détresse affreuse dans le pays, et une grande colère contre ce peuple.
But woe to them that are with child and to them who give suck in those days, for there shall be great distress upon the land and wrath upon this people.
24 Ils tomberont sous le tranchant du glaive, et seront emmenés captifs dans toutes les nations, et Jérusalem sera foulée aux pieds par les gentils, jusqu’à ce que les temps des nations soient accomplis.
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of [the] nations until [the] times of [the] nations be fulfilled.
25 Et il y aura des signes dans le soleil, dans la lune et dans les étoiles; et, sur la terre, la détresse des nations, à cause du bruit confus de la mer et des flots;
And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity [at] the roar of the sea and rolling waves,
26 Les hommes séchant de frayeur dans l’attente de ce qui doit arriver à tout l’univers; car les vertus des cieux seront ébranlées;
men ready to die through fear and expectation of what is coming on the habitable earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
27 Et alors ils verront le Fils de l’homme venant dans une nuée, avec une grande puissance et une grande majesté.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Or, quand ces choses commenceront à s’accomplir, regardez et levez la tête, parce que votre rédemption approche.
But when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws nigh.
29 Et il leur dit cette comparaison: Voyez le figuier et tous les arbres;
And he spoke a parable to them: Behold the fig-tree and all the trees;
30 Quand ils commencent à produire du fruit, vous savez que l’été est proche.
when they already sprout, ye know of your own selves, [on] looking [at them], that already the summer is near.
31 De même vous, quand vous verrez ces choses arriver, sachez que le royaume de Dieu est proche.
So also ye, when ye see these things take place, know that the kingdom of God is near.
32 En vérité, je vous le dis, cette génération ne passera point, jusqu’à ce que toutes ces choses soient accomplies.
Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall in no wise pass away until all come to pass.
33 Le ciel et la terre passeront; mais mes paroles ne passeront point.
The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.
34 Faites donc attention à vous, de peur que vos cœurs ne s’appesantissent dans la crapule, l’ivresse et les soins de cette vie, et que ce jour ne vienne soudainement sur vous.
But take heed to yourselves lest possibly your hearts be laden with surfeiting and drinking and cares of life, and that day come upon you suddenly unawares;
35 Car, comme un filet, il enveloppera tous ceux qui habitent sur la face de la terre.
for as a snare shall it come upon all them that dwell upon the face of the whole earth.
36 Veillez donc et priez en tout temps, afin que vous soyez trouvés dignes d’éviter toutes ces choses qui doivent arriver, et de paraître avec confiance devant le Fils de l’homme.
Watch therefore, praying at every season, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things which are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
37 Or, le jour il enseignait dans le temple; mais la nuit, sortant, il se retirait sur la montagne appelée des Oliviers.
And by day he was teaching in the temple, and by night, going out, he remained abroad on the mountain called [the mount] of Olives;
38 Et tout le peuple venait de grand matin vers lui au temple pour l’écouter.
and all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.
