Lévitique 27
1 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
The Lord told Moses,
2 Parle aux enfants d’Israël, et tu leur diras: Un homme qui aura fait un vœu et qui aura promis à Dieu son âme donnera, selon l’estimation, le prix.
“Tell the Israelites: When you make a special promise to dedicate someone to the Lord, these are the values you are to use.
3 Si c’est un homme depuis la vingtième année jusqu’à la soixantième année, il donnera cinquante sicles d’argent, selon la mesure du sanctuaire;
The value of a man aged twenty to sixty is fifty shekels of silver, (using the sanctuary shekel standard).
4 Si c’est une femme, trente.
The value of a woman is thirty shekels.
5 Mais depuis la cinquième année jusqu’à la vingtième, l’homme donnera vingt sicles, la femme, dix.
The value of someone aged five to twenty is twenty shekels for a male and ten shekels for a female.
6 Depuis un mois jusqu’à la cinquième année, pour l’homme on donnera cinq sicles, pour la femme, trois.
The value of someone aged one month to five years is five shekels of silver for a male and three shekels of silver for a female.
7 Un homme de soixante ans et au-dessus donnera quinze sicles; la femme, dix.
The value of someone aged sixty or older is fifteen shekels for a male and ten shekels of silver for a female.
8 S’il est pauvre, et s’il ne peut payer l’estimation, il se présentera devant le prêtre; et autant celui-ci aura estimé et aura vu qu’il peut payer, autant il donnera.
However, if when you fulfill your promise you are poorer than the fixed value, you are to present the person before the priest, who will then set the value depending on what you can afford.
9 Mais un animal, qui peut être immolé au Seigneur, si quelqu’un le voue, sera saint,
If when you fulfill your promise you bring an animal that is permitted as an offering to the Lord, the animal given to the Lord shall be considered holy.
10 Et il ne pourra être changé, c’est-à-dire, ni un meilleur pour un mauvais, ni un pire pour un bon; que s’il le change, et celui qui a été changé et celui pour lequel le premier a été changé sera consacré au Seigneur.
You are not allowed to replace it or swap it, either for one that is better or one that is worse. However, if you do replace it then both animals become holy.
11 Un animal impur, qui ne peut être immolé au Seigneur, si quelqu’un le voue, sera amené devant le prêtre,
If when you fulfill your promise you bring any unclean animal that is not permitted as an offering to the Lord, then you must show the animal to the priest.
12 Qui jugeant s’il est bon ou mauvais, fixera le prix.
The priest will decide its value, whether high or low. Whatever value the priest places on it is final.
13 Si celui qui offre veut le donner, il ajoutera au-dessus de l’estimation la cinquième partie.
If you then decide to buy the animal back, you have to add one fifth to its value in payment.
14 Si un homme voue sa maison et la consacre au Seigneur, le prêtre considérera si elle est bonne ou mauvaise, et selon le prix qui aura été assigné par lui, elle sera vendue;
If you dedicate your house as holy to the Lord, then the priest will decide its value, whether high or low. Whatever value the priest places on it remains final.
15 Mais, si celui qui l’a vouée, veut la racheter, il donnera la cinquième partie de l’estimation en sus, et il aura la maison.
But if you want to buy back your house, you have to add one fifth to its value in payment. Then it will belong to you again.
16 Que s’il voue le champ de sa possession, et qu’il le consacre au Seigneur, c’est selon la mesure des semences que sera estimé le prix; si la terre est semée de trente boisseaux d’orge, qu’elle soit vendue cinquante sicles d’argent.
If you dedicate some of your land to the Lord, then its value shall be determined by the amount of seed required to sow it: fifty shekels of silver for every homer of barley seed used.
17 Si c’est dès l’année du jubilé commençant qu’il voue son champ, autant il peut valoir, autant il sera estimé.
If you dedicate your field during the Jubilee Year, the value will be the full amount calculated.
18 Mais, si c’est après quelque temps, le prêtre supputera l’argent, selon le nombre des années qui restent jusqu’au jubilé, et il sera fait un retranchement dans le prix.
But if you dedicate your field after the Jubilee, the priest will work out the value depending on the number of years left until the next Jubilee Year, so reducing the value.
19 Que si celui qui l’a voué, veut racheter le champ, il ajoutera la cinquième partie de l’argent estimé, et il le possédera.
But if you want to buy your field back, you have to add one fifth to its value in payment. Then it will belong to you again.
20 Mais s’il ne veut pas le racheter, et qu’il ait été vendu à quelque autre, celui qui l’avait voué ne pourra plus le racheter,
But if you don't buy the field back, or if you've already sold it to someone else, it can't ever be bought back.
21 Parce que, lorsque le jour du jubilé sera venu, il sera consacré au Seigneur, et qu’une possession consacrée appartient au droit des prêtres.
When the Jubilee comes, the field will become holy, in the same way as a field devoted to the Lord. It will become the property of the priests.
22 Si le champ a été acheté, et qu’il n’ait pas été consacré au Seigneur comme possession des aïeux,
If you dedicate to the Lord a field you've bought that was not part of your original property,
23 Le prêtre supputera le prix selon le nombre des années qu’il y aura jusqu’au jubilé, et celui qui l’avait voué, donnera ce prix au Seigneur;
the priest will work out the value until the next Jubilee Year. You will pay on that day the exact value, giving it as a holy offering to the Lord.
24 Mais au jubilé, le champ retournera au premier maître qui l’avait vendu, et qui l’avait eu pour lot de sa possession.
In the Jubilee Year, ownership the field shall revert back to the person you bought it from—to the original owner of the land.
25 Toute estimation se fera au poids du sicle du sanctuaire. Le sicle a vingt oboles.
(All values will use the sanctuary shekel standard of twenty gerahs to the shekel.)
26 Les premiers-nés, qui appartiennent au Seigneur, personne ne pourra les consacrer et les vouer: que ce soit un bœuf ou une brebis, ils sont au Seigneur.
No one is allowed to dedicate the firstborn of the livestock, because the firstborn belong to the Lord. Whether they are cattle, sheep, or goats, they are the Lord's.
27 Que si l’animal est impur, celui qui l’a offert le rachètera selon ton estimation, et il ajoutera la cinquième partie du prix; s’il ne veut pas le racheter, il sera vendu à un autre, autant qu’il aura été estimé par loi.
But if it is an unclean animal, then you can buy it back according to its value, adding on one fifth extra. If it's not bought back, then it is to be sold according to its value.
28 Tout ce qui est consacré au Seigneur, que ce soit un homme, ou un animal, ou un champ, ne sera point vendu, et ne pourra être racheté. Tout ce qui aura été une fois consacré, étant très saint, sera pour le Seigneur.
Anything that you specially dedicate to the Lord from what you own, whether it's a person, an animal, or your land, can't be sold or bought back. Anything specially dedicated if most holy to the Lord.
29 Rien de consacré, qui est offert par un homme, ne sera racheté, mais il mourra de mort.
No one who is specially dedicated to destruction can be bought back. They must be killed.
30 Toutes les dîmes de la terre, soit des grains, soit des fruits des arbres, sont au Seigneur et lui sont consacrées.
Tithe from your crops or fruit belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.
31 Mais si quelqu’un veut racheter ses dîmes, il en ajoutera la cinquième partie.
If you want to buy back some of your tithe, you must add on one fifth to its value.
32 Dans les dîmes des bœufs, des brebis et des chèvres qui passent sous la verge du pasteur, tout ce qui viendra comme dixième, sera consacré au Seigneur.
When you count your herds and flocks, every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd's rod is holy to the Lord.
33 Ni le bon, ni le mauvais ne sera choisi, et il ne sera point changé pour un autre; si quelqu’un le change, et ce qui aura été changé, et ce pour quoi il aura été changé, sera consacré au Seigneur, et ne sera pas racheté,
You must not examine it to see if it's good or bad, and you must not replace it. However, if you do replace it then both animals become holy; they can't be bought back.”
34 Ce sont là les préceptes qu’a donnés le Seigneur à Moïse pour les enfants d’Israël sur la montagne de Sinaï.
These are the laws the Lord gave to Moses for the Israelites on Mount Sinai.
