Lévitique 22
1 Le Seigneur parla aussi à Moïse, disant:
The Lord also spoke to Moses saying:
2 Parle à Aaron et à ses fils, afin qu’ils s’abstiennent de ce qui a été consacré par les enfants d’Israël, et qu’ils ne souillent pas le nom des choses qui me sont consacrées, qu’ils offrent eux-mêmes. Je suis le Seigneur.
Speak to Aaron and to his sons, so that they may be careful of those things which have been consecrated for the sons of Israel, and so that they may not contaminate the name of the things sanctified to me, which they offer. I am the Lord.
3 Dis à eux et à leurs descendants: Tout homme de votre race qui s’approchera des choses qui auront été consacrées et que les enfants d’Israël auront offertes au Seigneur, mais dans lequel est une impureté, périra devant le Seigneur. C’est moi qui suis le Seigneur.
Say to them and to their posterity: Every man of your stock, who approaches toward those things which have been consecrated, and which the sons of Israel have brought forward to the Lord, in whom there is uncleanness, shall perish before the Lord. I am the Lord.
4 Un homme de la race d’Aaron qui sera lépreux ou qui aura la gonorrhée ne mangera point des choses qui m’auront été consacrées, jusqu’à ce qu’il soit guéri. Celui qui touchera un homme impur à cause d’un mort, et à qui arrivera comme il arrive dans l’usage du mariage,
The man of the offspring of Aaron, who is a leper or who is suffering a flow of seed, shall not eat of those things which have been sanctified to me, until he is healed. Whoever will have touched what is unclean because of the dead, and he whose seed goes out from him, as if from sexual intercourse,
5 Et qui touchera un reptile et quoi que ce soit d’impur dont le contact souille,
and whoever has touched a creeping thing, or any kind of unclean thing, the touching of which is filthy,
6 Sera impur jusqu’au soir, et ne mangera point des choses qui auront été sanctifiées; mais lorsqu’il aura lavé sa chair dans l’eau,
shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat those things which have been sanctified. But when he has washed his flesh with water,
7 Et que le soleil sera couché, alors purifié, il mangera des choses sanctifiées, parce que c’est sa nourriture.
and the sun has set, then, having been purified, he shall eat from what has been sanctified, because it is his food.
8 Ils ne mangeront point d’un animal crevé, et d’un animal pris par une bête sauvage, et ils ne seront point souillés par eux. C’est moi qui suis le Seigneur.
Whatever dies on its own, and whatever has been seized by a wild beast, they shall not eat, nor shall they be polluted by these. I am the Lord.
9 Qu’ils gardent mes préceptes, afin qu’ils ne soient point soumis au péché, et qu’ils ne lorsqu’ils l’auront souillé. Je suis le Seigneur qui les sanctifie.
Let them observe my precepts, so that they may not fall under sin, and die in the Sanctuary, when they will have defiled it. I am the Lord, who sanctifies them.
10 Nul étranger ne mangera des choses sanctifiées, celui qui séjourne chez un prêtre et un mercenaire n’en mangeront point.
No foreigner shall eat from what has been sanctified; a guest of the priests and a hired servant shall not eat from them.
11 Mais celui que le prêtre aura acheté, et le serviteur qui sera né dans sa maison, ceux-là en mangeront.
But whomever the priest has bought, and whoever has been born into his house, these shall eat from them.
12 Si la fille d’un prêtre épouse un homme du peuple, quel qu’il soit, elle ne mangera point des choses qui auront été sanctifiées, ni des prémices.
If the daughter of a priest has been married to any of the people, she shall not eat from what has been sanctified, nor from the first-fruits.
13 Mais si, veuve ou répudiée et sans enfants, elle retourne à la maison de son père, elle sera nourrie de la nourriture de son père, comme elle avait accoutumé étant jeune fille. Aucun étranger n’a le droit d’en manger.
But if she is a widow or divorced, and, being without children, she returns to her father’s house, she shall be nourished by her father’s foods, just as she was accustomed to do as a girl. No foreigner shall have the authority to eat from them.
14 Celui qui aura mangé des choses sanctifiées par ignorance, ajoutera la cinquième partie à ce qu’il a mangé, et il la donnera au prêtre pour le sanctuaire.
Whoever, through ignorance, eats from what has been sanctified shall add a fifth part to that which he ate, and he shall give it to the priest at the Sanctuary.
15 Ils ne profaneront point les choses sanctifiées des enfants d’Israël, que ceux-ci offrent au Seigneur:
And they shall not contaminate what has been sanctified from the sons of Israel, which they offer to the Lord,
16 De peur qu’ils ne portent l’iniquité de leur délit, lorsqu’ils auront mangé les choses sanctifiées. Je suis le Seigneur qui les sanctifie.
lest perhaps they may suffer the iniquity of their offense, when they will have eaten what has been sanctified. I am the Lord, who sanctifies them.
17 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
18 Parle à Aaron, à ses fils et à tous les enfants d’Israël, et tu leur diras: Un homme de la maison d’Israël, et d’entre les étrangers qui habitent chez vous qui présente son oblation, ou acquittant des vœux, ou faisant une offrande spontanée, quoi que ce soit qu’il présente pour l’holocauste du Seigneur,
Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: The man from the house of Israel, or from the newcomers who live with you, who would bring forward his oblation, either fulfilling his vows or offering spontaneously, whatever he brings forward as a holocaust for the Lord,
19 Afin que ce soit présenté par vous, ce sera un mâle sans tache d’entre les bœufs, les brebis et les chèvres.
in order to be offered through you, shall offer an immaculate male from the oxen, or from the sheep, or from the goats.
20 S’il a une tache, vous ne l’offrirez point, et il ne sera point acceptable.
If it has a blemish, you shall not offer it, and it shall not be acceptable.
21 Un homme qui offre une victime de sacrifices pacifiques au Seigneur, ou acquittant des vœux, ou faisant une offrande spontanée, tant de bœufs que de brebis, offrira un animal sans tache, afin qu’il soit acceptable: il n’y aura aucune tache en lui.
The man who will have offered a victim of peace offerings to the Lord, either fulfilling his vows or offering spontaneously, whether of oxen, or of sheep, shall offer what is immaculate, so that it may be acceptable. There shall be no blemish in it.
22 S’il est aveugle, s’il a un membre rompu, ou une cicatrice, ou des pustules, ou la gale, ou le farcin: vous n’offrirez pas ces animaux au Seigneur, et vous n’en brûlerez point sur l’autel du Seigneur.
If it is blind, or if it is broken, or if it has a scar, or if it is has a boil, or a skin disease or infection, you shall not offer these to the Lord, nor shall you burn any of these upon the altar of the Lord.
23 Tu pourras offrir volontairement un bœuf et une brebis, une oreille et la queue ayant été coupées; mais un vœu ne peut être acquitté par leur moyen.
An ox or a sheep, having an amputated ear or tail, you are able to offer voluntarily, but a vow is not able to be fulfilled by these.
24 Vous n’offrirez au Seigneur aucun animal qui a l’organe générateur ou froissé, ou foulé, ou coupé, ou arraché; et en votre pays ne faites absolument point cela.
You shall not offer to the Lord any animal which has the testicles bruised, or crushed, or cut and taken away, and you shall not cause any of these things in your land.
25 De la main de l’étranger vous n’offrirez point des pains à votre Dieu, ni toute autre chose qu’il voudra donner, parce que toutes ces choses sont corrompues et souillées: vous ne les recevrez point.
From the hand of a foreigner, you shall not offer bread to your God, nor anything else that he would choose to give; for all this has been corrupted and blemished. You shall not accept them.
26 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
27 Un bœuf, une brebis et une chèvre, lorsqu’ils seront nés, seront sept jours sous la mamelle de leur mère; mais au huitième jour et après, ils pourront être offerts au Seigneur.
An ox, a sheep, or a goat, when they have been born, shall be under the udder of their mother for seven days. But on the eighth day and thereafter, they are able to be offered to the Lord.
28 Soit cette vache, soit cette brebis, elles ne seront pas immolées en un seul jour avec leurs petits.
Whether it is an ox, or a sheep, they shall not be immolated on the same day with their newborns.
29 Si vous immolez une hostie pour action de grâces au Seigneur, afin qu’il puisse se laisser fléchir,
If you immolate a victim as an act of thanksgiving to the Lord, so that he may be pleased,
30 Vous la mangerez le même jour, il n’en demeurera rien pour le matin du jour suivant. Je suis le Seigneur.
you shall eat it on the same day; none of it shall remain until morning on the next day. I am the Lord.
31 Gardez mes commandements et exécutez-les. Je suis le Seigneur.
Observe my commandments, and do them. I am the Lord.
32 Ne souillez point mon nom saint, afin que je sois sanctifié au milieu des enfants d’Israël. Je suis le Seigneur qui vous sanctifie,
Do not pollute my holy name, so that I may be sanctified in the midst of the sons of Israel. I am the Lord, who sanctifies you,
33 Et qui vous ai retirés de la terre d’Egypte afin que je fusse votre Dieu. Je suis le Seigneur.
and who led you away from the land of Egypt, so that I may be to you as God. I am the Lord.
