Jonas 2
1 Et Jonas pria le Seigneur son Dieu du ventre du poisson.
Then prayed Jonah unto the Lord his God out of the belly of the fish.
2 Et il dit: [J’ai crié vers le Seigneur du milieu de ma tribulation, et il m’a exaucé; du sein de l’enfer j’ai crié, et vous avez entendu ma voix. (Sheol h7585)
And he said, I called from the midst of my distress unto the Lord, and he hath answered me: out of the depth of the grave have I cried, and thou hast heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
3 Et vous m’avez jeté dans le profond d’un gouffre, dans le cœur d’une mer, et des eaux m’ont environné; toutes vos vagues et vos flots ont passé sur moi.
For thou hast cast me into the deep, in the heart of the seas; and the stream compasseth me about: all thy billows and thy waves have passed over me.
4 Et moi j’ai dit: Je suis rejeté de la présence de vos yeux, mais je verrai encore votre temple saint.
And I thought indeed, I am driven out from before thy eyes: yet I again shall look toward thy holy temple.
5 Des eaux m’ont environne jusqu’à l’âme, un abîme m’a enveloppé, une mer a couvert ma tête.
The waters surrounded me, to the peril of my life; the deep compassed me about: sea-weeds were bound about my head.
6 Je suis descendu jusqu’aux fondements des montagnes; les barrières de la terre étaient fermées sur moi pour toujours; mais vous préserverez ma vie de la corruption, Seigneur mon Dieu.
To the bottoms of the mountains did I go down; the earth [closed] her bars about me for ever: when thou broughtest up my life from the pit, O Lord my God!
7 Lorsque mon âme était resserrée en moi, je me suis souvenu du Seigneur, afin que ma prière vienne jusqu’à vous, jusqu’à votre temple saint.
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came unto thee, unto thy holy temple.
8 Ceux qui s’attachent aux vanités inutilement, abandonnent leur miséricorde.
They that guard false vanities forsake [the source of] their kindness.
9 Mais moi, je vous immolerai des victimes avec la voix de la louange; tout ce que j’ai voué, je le rendrai au Seigneur, pour mon salut.
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; that which I have vowed will I pay; [for] help is with the Lord.
10 Et le Seigneur parla au poisson, et il jeta Jonas sur la terre.
And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
