1 Or il y avait un homme parmi les pharisiens, nommé Nicodème, un des chefs des Juifs.
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 Cet homme vint la nuit à Jésus, et lui dit: Maître, nous savons que vous êtes venu de Dieu pour enseigner; car nul ne pourrait faire les prodiges que vous faites, si Dieu n’était avec lui.
The same came to Yahushua by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from Elohim: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except Elohim be with him.
3 Jésus lui répondit et lui dit: En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis, si quelqu’un ne naît de nouveau, il ne peut voir le royaume de Dieu.
Yahushua answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of YHWH.
4 Nicodème lui dit: Comment un homme peut-il naître quand il est vieux? Peut-il rentrer dans le sein de sa mère, et naître de nouveau?
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jésus répondit: En vérité, en vérité, je te le dis, si quelqu’un ne renaît de l’eau et de l’Esprit-Saint, il ne peut entrer dans le royaume de Dieu.
Yahushua answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of YHWH.
6 Ce qui est né de la chair est chair, et ce qui est né de l’esprit est esprit.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Ne t’étonne point que je t’aie dit: Il faut que vous naissiez de nouveau,
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 L’esprit souffle où il veut: tu entends sa voix, mais tu ne sais d’où elle vient ni où elle va: ainsi en est-il de quiconque est né de l’esprit.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodème répondit et lui dit: Comment cela se peut-il faire?
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jésus répondit et lui dit: Tu es maître en Israël, et tu ignores ces choses?
Yahushua answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 En vérité, en vérité, je te le dis, ce que nous savons, nous le disons, et ce que nous avons vu, nous l’attestons, et vous ne recevez pas notre témoignage.
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 Si je vous dis les choses de la terre, et que vous ne croyiez point, comment croirez-vous, si je vous dis les choses du ciel?
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 Car personne n’est monté au ciel que celui qui est descendu du ciel, le Fils de l’homme qui est dans le ciel.
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which was in heaven.
14 Et comme Moïse a élevé le serpent dans le désert, il faut de même que le Fils de l’homme soit élevé;
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 Afin que quiconque croit en lui ne périsse points mais qu’il ait la vie éternelle. (aiōnios g166)
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
16 Car Dieu a tellement aimé le monde, qu’il a donné son Fils unique, afin que quiconque croit en lui ne périsse point, mais qu’il ait la vie éternelle. (aiōnios g166)
For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
17 Car Dieu n’a pas envoyé son Fils dans le monde pour condamner le monde, mais pour que le monde soit sauvé par lui.
For YHWH sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 Qui croit en lui n’est point condamné, mais qui ne croit point est déjà condamné, parce qu’il ne croit pas au nom du Fils unique de Dieu.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of YHWH.
19 Or cette condamnation vient de ce que la lumière a paru dans le monde, et que les hommes ont mieux aimé les ténèbres que la lumière, parce que leurs œuvres étaient mauvaises.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 Car quiconque fait le mal hait la lumière, et il ne vient point à la lumière, de peur que ses œuvres ne soient découvertes;
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 Mais celui qui accomplit la vérité vient à la lumière, afin que ses œuvres soient manifestées, parce qu’elles ont été faites en Dieu.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in Elohim.
22 Après cela, Jésus vint avec ses disciples dans la terre de Judée, et il y demeurait avec eux, et il baptisait.
After these things came Yahushua and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 Or Jean aussi baptisait à Ennon, près de Salim, parce qu’il y avait là beaucoup d’eau et on y venait, et on y était baptisé.
And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
24 Car Jean n’avait pas encore été mis en prison.
For John was not yet cast into prison.
25 Or il s’éleva une question entre les disciples de Jean et les Juifs, touchant la purification.
Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.
26 Et ceux-là étant venus vers Jean, lui dirent: Maître, celui qui était avec vous au-delà du Jourdain, et à qui vous avez rendu témoignage, baptise maintenant, et tout le monde va à lui.
And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
27 Jean répondit et dit: L’homme ne peut rien recevoir, s’il ne lui a été donné du ciel.
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
28 Vous m’êtes témoins vous-mêmes, que j’ai dit: Ce n’est pas moi qui suis le Christ, mais j’ai été envoyé devant lui.
Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Messiah, but that I am sent before him.
29 Celui qui a l’épouse est l’époux; mais l’ami de l’époux, qui est présent et l’écoute, se réjouit de joie, à cause de la voix de l’épouse. Ma joie est donc maintenant à son comble.
He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30 Il faut qu’il croisse et que je diminue.
He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 Celui qui vient d’en haut est au-dessus de tous. Celui qui est sorti de la terre est de la terre et parle de la terre. Ainsi celui qui vient du ciel est au-dessus de tous.
He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 Et il témoigne de ce qu’il a vu et entendu, et personne ne reçoit son témoignage.
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33 Celui qui a reçu son témoignage a attesté que Dieu est véritable.
He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that Elohim is true.
34 Car celui que Dieu a envoyé dit les paroles de Dieu, parce que ce n’est pas avec mesure que Dieu lui donne son esprit.
For he whom YHWH hath sent speaketh the words of YHWH: for YHWH giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35 Le Père aime le Fils, et il a tout remis entre ses mains.
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36 Qui croit au Fils a la vie éternelle; mais qui ne croit point au Fils ne verra point la vie, mais la colère de Dieu demeure sur lui. (aiōnios g166)
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of YHWH abideth on him. (aiōnios g166)
