Isaïe 62
1 À cause de Sion, je ne me tairai pas, et à cause de Jérusalem, je ne me reposerai pas, jusqu’à ce que paraisse son juste comme une éclatante lumière, et que son sauveur, comme un flambeau, répande sa clarté.
For Zion's sake I will not keep silence, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, Until her deliverance break forth like the shining light, And her salvation like a blazing torch.
2 Et les nations verront ton juste, et tous les rois ton roi illustre; et l’on t’appellera d’un nom nouveau que la bouche du Seigneur nommera.
Then shall the nations see thy prosperity, And all the kings thy glory; Thou shalt be called by a new name, Which the mouth of Jehovah shall give thee.
3 Et tu seras une couronne de gloire dans la main du Seigneur, et un diadème royal dans la main de ton Dieu.
Thou shalt be a beautiful crown in the hand of Jehovah, A royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 Tu ne seras plus appelée Délaissée, et ta terre ne sera plus appelée Désolée; mais tu seras appelée Ma volonté en elle, et ta terre Habitée, parce que le Seigneur s’est complu en toi; et ta terre sera habitée.
No more shalt thou be called the Desolate, And thy land, the Forsaken. But thou shall be named My-delight-is-in-her. And thy land the wedded Matron. For Jehovah shall delight in thee, And thy land shall be married.
5 Car le jeune homme habitera avec la vierge, et tes fils demeureront en toi. Et l’époux se réjouira en son épouse, et ton Dieu se réjouira en toi.
For as a young man weddeth a virgin. So shall thy children wed thee. And as a bridegroom rejoiceth in his bride, So shall thy God rejoice in thee.
6 Sur tes murs, Jérusalem, j’ai établi des gardes; pendant tout le jour et pendant toute la nuit, jamais ils ne se tairont. Vous qui vous souvenez du Seigneur, ne vous taisez pas,
Upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, have I set watchmen; All the day, and all the night, shall they not keep silence; O ye that praise Jehovah, keep not silence,
7 Et ne gardez pas le silence envers lui, jusqu’à ce qu’il affermisse et qu’il rende Jérusalem un objet de louange sur la terre.
And give him no rest, Until he establish Jerusalem, and make her a praise in the earth!
8 Le Seigneur a juré par sa droite, et par son bras fort: Si je donne encore ton blé pour nourriture à tes ennemis, et si les fils de l’étranger boivent le vin fruit de tes travaux.
Jehovah hath sworn by his right hand, and his mighty arm: No more will I give thy corn to be food for thine enemies, Nor shall the sons of the stranger drink thy wine, for which thou hast labored.
9 Parce que ceux qui amassent le blé le mangeront et loueront le Seigneur, et ceux qui transportent le vin le boiront dans mes parvis sacrés.
But they that reap the harvest shall eat it, And praise Jehovah; And they that gather the vintage shall drink it, In my holy comets.
10 Passez, passez par les portes, préparez la voie à mon peuple, aplanissez le chemin, ôtez-en les pierres, et élevez l’étendard pour les peuples.
Pass ye, pass ye through the gates; Prepare the way for the people; Cast ye up, cast ye up the highway, Clear it from the stones; Lift up on high a standard for the tribes!
11 Voilà que le Seigneur a fait entendre jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre: Dites à la fille de Sion: Voici que ton sauveur vient; voici que sa récompense est avec lui, et que son œuvre est devant lui.
Behold, Jehovah proclaimeth to the end of the earth: “Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy Deliverer cometh! Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him!”
12 Et on les appellera Peuple saint, rachetés par le Seigneur. Mais toi, tu seras appelée Cité recherchée et non délaissée.
They shall be called, The holy people, The redeemed of Jehovah. And thou shalt be called, The Sought out, The Not forsaken City.
