Isaïe 52
1 Lève-toi, lève-toi, revêts-toi de ta force, Sion; revêts-toi des vêtements de ta gloire, Jérusalem, cité du saint; parce qu’il n’y aura plus à l’avenir d’incirconcis qui passera au travers de toi, ni d’impur.
Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2 Sors de la poussière, lève-toi, assieds-toi, Jérusalem; romps les fers de ton cou, captive fille de Sion.
Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem; loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
3 Parce que voici ce que dit le Seigneur: Pour rien vous avez été vendus, et sans argent vous serez rachetés.
For thus saith the LORD: Ye were sold for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.
4 Parce que voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu: Mon peuple descendit en Egypte, dans le principe, pour y être colon; et Assur, sans aucun sujet, l’a traité avec violence.
For thus saith the Lord GOD: My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
5 Et maintenant qu’ai-je ici à faire, dit le Seigneur, puisque mon peuple a été enlevé sans motif? Ses dominateurs agissent iniquement, dit le Seigneur, et sans cesse tout le jour mon nom est blasphémé.
Now therefore, what do I here, saith the LORD, seeing that My people is taken away for nought? They that rule over them do howl, saith the LORD, and My name continually all the day is blasphemed.
6 À cause de cela mon peuple connaîtra mon nom en ce jour-là; il saura que moi-même qui parlais autrefois, me voici présent.
Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore they shall know in that day that I, even He that spoke, behold, here I am.
7 Qu’ils sont beaux sur les montagnes, les pieds de celui qui annonce et qui prêche la paix; qui annonce le bonheur, qui prêche le salut, qui dit à Sion: il régnera, ton Dieu!
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that announceth peace, the harbinger of good tidings, that announceth salvation; that saith unto Zion: 'Thy God reigneth!'
8 La voix de tes sentinelles; elles ont élevé la voix, elles chanteront ensemble des louanges; parce qu’oeil à œil elles verront, lorsque le Seigneur convertira Sion.
Hark, thy watchmen! they lift up the voice, together do they sing; for they shall see, eye to eye, the LORD returning to Zion.
9 Réjouissez-vous et chantez des louanges ensemble, déserts de Jérusalem; parce que le Seigneur a consolé son peuple, qu’il a racheté Jérusalem.
Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem; for the LORD hath comforted His people, He hath redeemed Jerusalem.
10 Le Seigneur a préparé son bras saint aux yeux de toutes les nations; et ils verront tous les confins de la terre, le salut de notre Dieu.
The LORD hath made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
11 Retirez-vous, retirez-vous, sortez de là, ne touchez rien d’impur; sortez du milieu d’elle, purifiez-vous, vous qui portez les vases du Seigneur.
Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, ye that bear the vessels of the LORD.
12 Parce que vous ne sortirez point en tumulte, et vous ne vous précipiterez point dans votre fuite; car le Seigneur vous précédera, et le Dieu d’Israël vous rassemblera.
For ye shall not go out in haste, neither shall ye go by flight; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rearward.
13 Voici que mon serviteur aura l’intelligence, il sera exalté, élevé et glorieux.
Behold, My servant shall prosper, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.
14 Comme beaucoup ont été frappés de stupeur à ton sujet, ainsi sera sans gloire son aspect parmi les hommes, et sa forme parmi les fils des hommes.
According as many were appalled at thee — so marred was his visage unlike that of a man, and his form unlike that of the sons of men —
15 C’est lui qui aspergera beaucoup de nations; devant lui, des rois fermeront leur bouche; parce que ceux à qui il n’avait pas été parlé de lui, l’ont vu; et ceux qui n’en avaient pas entendu parler, l’ont contemplé.
So shall he startle many nations, kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which had not been told them shall they see, and that which they had not heard shall they perceive.
