Isaïe 24
1 Voici que le Seigneur dévastera la terre, et il la mettra à nu, et il affligera sa face, et il dispersera ses habitants.
Here! Yahweh [is] about to lay waste the earth and [is] about to devastate it and he will twist surface its and he will scatter inhabitants its.
2 Et comme sera le peuple, ainsi sera le prêtre; et comme l’esclave, ainsi son maître; comme la servante, ainsi sa maîtresse; comme l’achetant, ainsi celui qui vend; comme le prêteur, ainsi celui qui emprunte; comme celui qui redemande, ainsi celui qui doit.
And it will be as the people as the priest as the servant as master his as the maidservant as mistress her as the buyer as the seller as the lender as the borrower as the creditor as [the one] who a creditor [is] in him.
3 Par la dévastation sera dévastée la terre, et par le pillage elle sera pillée; car le Seigneur a prononcé cette parole.
Certainly - it will be laid waste the earth and certainly - it will be plundered for Yahweh he has spoken the word this.
4 La terre a pleuré, et elle s’est dissoute, et elle s’est affaiblie; l’univers s’est dissous et la hauteur du peuple de la terre a été abaissée.
It has dried up it has withered the earth it has languished it has withered [the] world they have languished [the] noble[s] of [the] people of the earth.
5 Et la terre a été infectée par ses habitants, parce qu’ils ont transgressé les lois, changé le droit, rompu l’alliance éternelle.
And the earth it has been polluted under inhabitants its for they have transgressed laws they have overstepped [the] decree they have broken [the] covenant of perpetuity.
6 À cause de cela, la malédiction dévorera la terre, et ses habitants pécheront; et à cause de cela ceux qui la cultivent deviendront insensés, et peu d’hommes seront laissés.
There-fore a curse it has consumed [the] earth and they have been held guilty [the] inhabitants in it there-fore they have diminished [the] inhabitants of [the] earth and it will be left humankind of smallness.
7 La vendange a pleuré, la vigne a langui, tous ceux qui se réjouissaient de cœur ont gémi.
It has dried up new wine it has languished [the] vine they have groaned all [the people] joyful of heart.
8 La joie des tambours a cessé, le bruit de ceux qui se livraient à l’allégresse s’est calmé, le doux son de la harpe est devenu muet.
It has ceased [the] gaiety of tambourines it has stopped [the] uproar of jubilant [people] it has ceased [the] gaiety of [the] harp.
9 On ne boira pas le vin au milieu des chants; amère sera toute liqueur pour ceux qui la boiront.
With song not people will drink wine it will be bitter strong drink to [those who] drink it.
10 Elle a été brisée, la cité de vanité; toute maison a été fermée, personne n’y entrant.
It has been broken [the] town of formlessness it has been shut up every house from entering.
11 Il y aura une clameur sur les places publiques, au sujet du vin. Toute allégresse a été abandonnée; la joie de la terre a été transférée.
An outcry on wine [will be] in the streets it has become evening all gladness it has departed [the] gaiety of the earth.
12 Il n’est resté dans la ville qu’une solitude, et la calamité pèsera sur les portes.
It has remained in the city desolation and ruin it will be crushed [the] gate.
13 Car ce qui restera au milieu de la terre, au milieu des peuples, sera comme quelques olives, qu’on abat de l’olivier, quand elles y sont demeurées, et comme des grappes de raisin, lorsque la vendange est finie.
For thus it will be in [the] midst of the earth in among the peoples like [the] beating of an olive tree like gleanings if it has come to an end [the] grape harvest.
14 Ceux-ci élèveront leur voix, et entonneront des louanges; lorsque le Seigneur aura été glorifié, ils feront; entendre des cris de la mer.
They they will lift up voice their they will shout for joy in [the] majesty of Yahweh they will cry aloud from [the] west.
15 À cause de cela glorifiez le Seigneur par de bonnes doctrines; dans les îles de la mer, glorifiez le nom du Seigneur Dieu d’Israël.
There-fore in the east glorify Yahweh in [the] islands of the sea [the] name of Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
16 Des extrémités de la terre nous avons entendu des louanges, la gloire du juste. Et j’ai dit: Mon secret est pour moi, mon secret est pour moi, malheur à moi; prévariquant ils ont prévariqué, et de la prévarication des transgresseurs ils ont prévariqué.
From [the] extremity of the earth songs we have heard splendor [belongs] to the righteous [one] and I said leanness [belongs] to me leanness [belongs] to me woe! to me [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously and treachery [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously.
17 L’effroi et la fosse et le lacs pour toi, qui es habitant de la terre.
Dread and pit and snare [are] on you O inhabitant of the earth.
18 Et il arrivera que celui qui aura fui à la voix de l’effroi tombera dans la fosse; et que celui qui sera dégagé de la fosse sera retenu par le lacs; parce que les cataractes des cieux se sont ouvertes, et que les fondements de la terre seront ébranlés.
And it will be the [one who] flees from [the] sound of the dread he will fall into the pit and the [one who] goes up from [the] midst of the pit he will be caught in snare for windows from a high place they have been opened and they have shaken [the] foundations of [the] earth.
19 Par le déchirement sera déchirée la terre, par le brisement sera brisée la terre, par l’ébranlement sera ébranlée la terre;
Utterly it has been broken the earth utterly it has been split through [the] earth certainly it has been shaken [the] earth.
20 Par le chancellement chancellera la terre comme un homme ivre; et elle sera enlevée comme une tente dressée pour une seule nuit; et son iniquité l’accablera, et elle tombera, et elle ne se relèvera plus.
Wildly it will stagger [the] earth like drunkard and it will sway like hut and it will be heavy on it transgression its and it will fall and not it will repeat to rise.
21 Et il arrivera qu’en ce jour-là le Seigneur visitera la milice du ciel en haut, et les rois de la terre sur la terre.
And it will be in the day that he will visit [judgment] Yahweh on [the] host of the height in the height[s] and on [the] kings of the earth on the earth.
22 Ils seront assemblés dans la fosse, comme un seul faisceau, et ils y seront renfermés en prison; et, après bien des jours, ils seront visités.
And they will be gathered a gathering prisoner[s] to a pit and they will be shut up at a prison and from an abundance of days they will be visited.
23 Et la lune rougira, et le soleil sera confondu, lorsque le Seigneur des armées régnera sur la montagne de Sion et dans Jérusalem, et qu’en présence de ses anciens il sera glorifié.
And it will be abashed the moon and it will be ashamed the sun for he will reign Yahweh of hosts on [the] mountain of Zion and in Jerusalem and before elders his glory.
