Isaïe 15
1 Malheur accablant de Moab. Parce que pendant la nuit Ar a été dévastée, Moab s’est tu; parce que pendant la nuit a été détruit le mur, Moab s’est tu.
The doom of Moab. Truly in a night is 'Ar of Moab plundered, it is laid waste; truly in a night is Kir of Moab plundered, it is laid waste.
2 La maison et Dibon sont montées sur les hauts lieux pour pleurer sur Nabo et sur Médaba; Moab a poussé des hurlements; sur toutes les têtes sera la calvitie, et toute barbe sera rasée.
It goeth up to the [idol-]house, and Dibon [goeth] up to the high-places to weep, on Nebo and on Medeba shall Moab wail: on all its heads there is baldness, and every beard is hewn off.
3 Dans ses rues ils ont été vêtus de sacs; sur ses toits tout hurlement est descendu dans le pleur.
In its streets they are girded with sack-cloth, on its roofs, and in its public places every one shall wail, groan with weeping.
4 Hésébon et Eléalé crieront; jusqu’à Jasa leur voix a été entendue; à cause de cela les vaillant de Moab hurleront; et son âme hurlera pour elle-même.
And loud crieth Cheshbon with El'aleh; as far as Yahaz is heard their voice: therefore the armed men of Moab shall howl; its soul is grieved for itself.
5 Mon cœur pour Moab criera; ses verrous se feront entendre jusqu’à Ségor, génisse de trois ans; car par la montée de Luith ils monteront en pleurant, et dans la voix d’Oronaïm ils élèveront le cri d’une douleur déchirante.
My heart will cry for Moab, whose fugitives are as far as Zo'ar, [and] the third 'Eglarth; for the ascent of Luchith—with weeping is it ascended; for on the way to Choronayim they let resound the cry of defeat [in battle].
6 Car les eaux de Nemrim deviendront un désert, parce que l’herbe s’est desséchée, que le bourgeon a manqué et que toute verdure a péri.
For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate; for dry is the grass, gone are the herbs, and green things are no more.
7 Selon la grandeur de leurs œuvres, tel sera leur châtiment; au torrent des saules on les conduira.
Therefore the rest of their acquisitions and what they possess shall they carry away over the brook of the willows.
8 Parce que le cri parcourra la frontière de Moab; jusqu’à Gallim ira son hurlement, jusqu’au Puits d’Elim son cri.
For the cry hath encompassed the boundary of Moab; up to Eglayim [is heard] its wail, and at Beer-elim [is heard] its wail.
9 Parce que les eaux de Dibon ont été remplies de sang; car j’enverrai sur Dibon un surcroît de châtiment; à ceux qui fuiront de Moab et aux restes de cette terre, un lion.
For the waters of Dimon are filled with blood; for I will bring over Dimon armed bands; over the escaped of Moab [cometh] a lion, and over the remnant of the land.
