Genèse 7
1 Or le Seigneur dit à Noé: Entre, toi et toute ta maison, dans l’arche; car je t’ai trouvé juste devant moi au milieu de cette génération.
And the LORde sayd vnto Noe: goo in to the arcke both thou and all thy houssold. For the haue I sene rightuous before me in thys generacion.
2 De tous les animaux purs prends sept couples, mâles et femelles; mais des animaux impurs, deux couples, mâles et femelles.
Of all clene beastes take vnto the. vij. of every kynde the male and hys female And of vnclene beastes a payre the male and hys female:
3 Et des volatiles du ciel pareillement sept couples, mâles et femelles, afin qu’en soit conservée la race sur la face de toute la terre.
lykewyse of the byrdes of the ayre vij. of every kynde male and female to save seed vppon all the erth.
4 Car encore sept jours, et après je ferai pleuvoir sur la terre durant quarante jours et quarante nuits, et j’exterminerai toutes les créatures que j’ai faites, de la surface de la terre.
For. vij. dayes hence wyll I send rayne vppo the erth. xl. dayes and. xl. nyghtes and wyll dystroy all maner of thynges that I haue made from of the face of the erth.
5 Noé fit donc tout ce que lui avait ordonné le Seigneur.
And Noe dyd acordynge to all yt the lorde comaunded hym:
6 Or, il avait six cents ans, lorsque les eaux du déluge inondèrent la terre.
and Noe was. vi. hundred yere olde when the floud of water came vppon the erth:
7 Ainsi Noé et ses fils, sa femme et les femmes de ses fils entrèrent avec lui dans l’arche, à cause des eaux du déluge.
and Noe went and his sonnes and his wyfe and his sonnes wyves wyth hym in to the arke from the waters of the floud.
8 Les animaux aussi, purs et impurs, les oiseaux et tout ce qui se meut sur la terre,
And of clene beastes and of beastes that ware vnclene and of byrdes and of all that crepeth vppo the erth
9 Entrèrent deux à deux auprès de Noé dans l’arche, mâle et femelle, comme avait ordonné le Seigneur à Noé.
came in by cooples of every kynde vnto Noe in to the arke: a male and a female: even as God commaunded Noe.
10 Et lorsque les sept jours furent passés, les eaux du déluge inondèrent la terre.
And the seventh daye the waters of the floud came vppon the erth.
11 L’an six cent de la vie de Noé, au second mois, le dix-septième jour du mois, toutes les sources du grand abîme furent rompues, et les cataractes du ciel furent ouvertes;
In the. vi. hundred yere of Noes lyfe in the secode moneth in the. xvij daye of the moneth yt same daye were all the founteynes of the grete depe broken vp and the wyndowes of heave were opened
12 Et la pluie tomba sur la terre durant quarante jours et quarante nuits.
ad there fell a rayne vpon the erth. xl. dayes and. xl. nyghtes.
13 Ce jour-là même, Noé, Sem, Cham et Japhet, ses fils, sa femme et les trois femmes de ses fils entrèrent dans l’arche;
And the selfe same daye went Noe Sem Ham and Iapheth Noes sonnes and Noes wyfe and the. iij. wyues of his sonnes wyth them in to the arke:
14 Ainsi, eux et tout animal selon son espèce, tous les animaux domestiques selon leur espèce, et tout ce qui se meut sur la terre dans son genre et tout volatile selon son genre, tous les oiseaux et tout ce qui s’élève dans l’air,
both they and all maner of beastes in their kide and all maner of catell in their kynde and all maner of wormes that crepe vppon the erth in their kynde and all maner of byrdes in there kynde. and all maner off foules what soever had feders.
15 Entrèrent auprès de Noé dans l’arche, deux à deux, de toute chair en laquelle est l’esprit de vie.
And they came vnto Noe in to the arke by cooples of all flesh yt had breth of lyfe in it.
16 Et ceux qui y entrèrent, entrèrent mâles et femelles de toute chair, comme Dieu lui avait ordonné: et le Seigneur l’enferma par dehors.
And they that came came male ad female of every flesh acordige as God comaunded hym: and ye LORde shytt the dore vppo him
17 Et il y eut un déluge durant quarante jours sur la terre: et les eaux s’accrurent et élevèrent l’arche de la terre dans les airs.
And the floud came. xl. dayes and. xl. nyghtes vppon the erth and the water increased and bare vp the arcke ad it was lifte vp from of the erth
18 Car elles se répandirent impétueusement, et remplirent tout sur la surface de la terre: mais l’arche était portée sur les eaux.
And the water prevayled and increased exceadingly vppon the erth: and the arke went vppo he toppe of the waters.
19 Et les eaux crûrent prodigieusement sur la terre, et toutes les hautes montagnes furent couvertes sous le ciel entier.
And the waters prevayled excedingly above mesure vppo the erth so that all the hye hylles which are vnder all the partes of heaven were covered:
20 L’eau s’éleva de quinze coudées au-dessus des montagnes qu’elle avait couvertes.
eve. xv. cubytes hye prevayled the waters so that the hylles were covered.
21 Ainsi périt entièrement toute chair qui se mouvait sur la terre, d’oiseaux, d’animaux domestiques, de bêtes sauvages, et de tout reptile qui rampe sur la terre: tous les hommes,
And all fleshe that moved on the erth bothe birdes catell and beastes perisshed with al that crepte on the erth and all men:
22 Et tout ce qui a un souffle de vie sur la terre, moururent.
so that all that had the breth of liffe in the nostrels of it thorow out all that was on drye lond dyed.
23 C’est ainsi que Dieu détruisit toute créature qui était sur la terre, depuis l’homme jusqu’à la bête, tant le reptile que les oiseaux du ciel: tout disparut de la terre; il ne resta que Noé et ceux qui étaient avec lui dans l’arche.
Thus was destroyed all that was vppo the erth both man beastes wormes and foules of the ayre so that they were destroyed from the erth: save Noe was reserved only and they that were wyth hym in the arke.
24 Et les eaux couvrirent la terre durant cent cinquante jours.
And the waters prevayled vppon the erth an hundred and fyftye dayes.
