Galates 6
1 Mes frères, si un homme est tombé par surprise dans quelque faute, vous qui êtes spirituels, instruisez-le en esprit de douceur, regardant à toi-même, de peur que toi aussi tu ne sois tenté.
My friends, even if someone should be caught committing a sin, you who are spiritually minded should, in a gentle spirit, help them to recover themselves, taking care that you yourselves are not tempted.
2 Portez les fardeaux les uns des autres, et c’est ainsi que vous accomplirez la loi du Christ.
Bear one another’s burdens, and so carry out the Law of the Christ.
3 Car si quelqu’un s’estime être quelque chose, comme il n’est rien, il s’abuse lui-même.
If a person imagines themselves to be somebody, when they are really nobody, they deceive themselves.
4 Or que chacun éprouve ses propres œuvres, et alors il trouvera sa gloire en lui-même et non dans un autre.
Let everyone test their own work, and then their cause for satisfaction will be in themselves and not in a comparison with their neighbor;
5 Car chacun portera son fardeau.
for everyone must bear their own load.
6 Que celui que l’on catéchise par la parole communique tous ses biens à celui qui le catéchise.
The person, however, who is being instructed in the message ought always to share their blessings with their teacher.
7 Ne vous y trompez pas: on ne se rit point de Dieu.
Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. What a person sows that they will reap.
8 Car ce que l’homme aura semé, il le recueillera. Ainsi, celui qui sème dans sa chair recueillera de la chair la corruption; et celui qui sème dans l’esprit recueillera de l’esprit la vie éternelle. (aiōnios g166)
For the person who sows the field of their earthly nature will from that earthly nature reap corruption; while the one who sows the field of the spirit will from that spirit reap eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
9 Or faisant le bien, ne nous lassons point; car en ne nous lassant pas, nous recueillerons la moisson en son temps.
Let us never tire of doing right, for at the proper season we will reap our harvest, if we do not grow weary.
10 C’est pourquoi, tandis que nous avons le temps, faisons du bien à tous, et principalement à ceux qui sont de la famille de la foi.
Therefore, I say, as the opportunity occurs, let us treat everyone with kindness, and especially members of the household of the faith.
11 Voyez quelle lettre je vous ai écrite de ma propre main.

12 Tous ceux qui veulent plaire selon la chair vous obligent à vous faire circoncire, et cela uniquement afin de ne pas souffrir persécution pour la croix du Christ.
The people who are trying to compel you to be circumcised are the people who wish to appear to advantage in regard to outward observances. They do it only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Jesus, the Christ
13 Car eux, qui se font circoncire, ne gardent pas la loi; mais veulent que vous soyez circoncis, pour se glorifier en votre chair.
Even these men who are circumcised do not themselves keep the Law; yet they want you to be circumcised, so that they may boast of your observance of the rite.
14 Pour moi, à Dieu ne plaise que je me glorifie, si ce n’est dans la croix de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, par qui le monde m’est crucifié, et moi au monde.
But, for my part, may I never boast of anything except the cross of Jesus Christ, our Master, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
15 Car en Jésus-Christ la circoncision n’est rien, ni l’incirconcision, mais la créature nouvelle.
For neither is circumcision nor the omission of it anything; but a new nature is everything.
16 Quant à tous ceux qui suivront cette règle, paix sur eux et miséricorde sur l’Israël de Dieu!
May all who rule their conduct by this principle find peace and mercy – they who are the Israel of God.
17 Au reste, que personne ne me fasse de la peine; car je porte sur mon corps les stigmates du Seigneur Jésus.
For the future let no one trouble me; for I bear the marks of Jesus branded on my body.
18 Que la grâce de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ soit avec votre esprit, mes frères. Amen.
May the blessing of Jesus Christ, our Lord, rest on your souls, friends. Amen.
