Ézéchiel 8
1 Or il arriva en la sixième année, au sixième mois, au cinquième jour du mois, que, lorsque j’étais assis dans ma maison, et que les vieillards de Juda étaient assis devant moi, tomba là sur moi la main du Seigneur Dieu.
And it was doon in the sixte yeer, in the sixte monethe, in the fyuethe dai of the monethe, Y sat in myn hous, and the elde men of Juda saten bifore me; and the hond of the Lord God felle there on me.
2 Et je vis, et voilà la ressemblance d’un homme, comme l’aspect d’un feu; de l’aspect de ses reins et au-dessous c’était du feu; et des reins et au-dessus, comme l’aspect d’une splendeur, comme la vue du succin.
And Y siy, and lo! a licnesse as the biholdyng of fier; fro the biholding of hise leendis and bynethe was fier, and fro hise leendis and aboue was as the biholdyng of schynyng, as the siyt of electre.
3 Et la ressemblance d’une main envoyée par cet homme me saisit par une boucle de cheveux de ma tête; et un esprit m’éleva entre le ciel et la terre, et m’amena à Jérusalem dans une vision de Dieu, près de la porte intérieure qui regardait du côté de l’aquilon, où était placée l’idole de la jalousie, pour provoquer la jalousie.
And the licnesse of an hond was sent out, and took me bi the heer of myn heed; and the spirit reiside me bitwixe heuene and erthe, and brouyte me in to Jerusalem, in the siyt of God, bisidis the ynnere dore that bihelde to the north, where the idol of enuye was set, to stire indignacioun.
4 Et voici que là était la gloire du Dieu d’Israël, selon la vision que j’avais vue dans la plaine.
And lo! the glorie of God of Israel was there, bi siyt which Y siy in the feeld.
5 Et il me dit: Fils d’un homme, lève tes yeux vers la voie de l’aquilon. Et je levai mes yeux vers la voie de l’aquilon; et voilà que du côté de l’aquilon de la porte de l’autel était l’idole de la jalousie à l’entrée même.
And he seide to me, Thou, sone of man, reise thin iyen to the weie of the north; and Y reiside myn iyen to the weie of the north, and lo! fro the north of the yate of the auter the idol of enuye was in that entryng.
6 Et il me dit: Fils d’un homme, vois-tu, toi, ce que font ceux-ci, les grandes abominations que la maison d’Israël fait ici, afin que je me retire loin de mon sanctuaire? et si tu te tournes encore, tu verras des abominations plus grandes.
And he seide to me, Sone of man, gessist thou whether thou seest what thing these men doon, the grete abhomynaciouns whiche the hous of Israel doith here, that Y go fer awei fro my seyntuarie? and yit thou schalt turne, and schalt se grettere abhomynaciouns.
7 Et il me conduisit à l’entrée du parvis, et voilà que je vis un trou dans la muraille.
And he ledde me with ynne to the dore of the halle; and Y siy, and lo! oon hoole in the wal.
8 Et il me dit: Fils d’un homme, perce la muraille. Et lorsque j’eus percé la muraille, parut une porte.
And he seide to me, Sone of man, digge thou the wal; and whanne Y hadde diggid the wal, o dore apperide.
9 Et il me dit: Entre, et vois les abominations horribles que ces gens font ici.
And he seide to me, Entre thou, and se the worste abhomynaciouns, whiche these men doon here.
10 Et étant entré, je vis, et voici que toute sorte d’images de reptiles et d’animaux, l’abomination et toutes les idoles de la maison d’Israël étaient peintes sur la muraille tout autour.
And Y entride, and siy; and lo! ech licnesse of `crepynge beestis, and abhomynacioun of beestis, and alle idols of the hous of Israel, weren peyntid in the wal al aboute in cumpas.
11 Et soixante-dix d’entre les anciens de la maison d’Israël se tenaient debout devant les peintures, et Jézonias, fils de Saphan, était au milieu d’eux; et chacun d’eux avait un encensoir en sa main; et une vapeur comme un nuage s’élevait de l’encens.
And seuenti men of the eldere of the hous of Israel stoden; and Jeconye, the sone of Saphan, stood in the myddis of hem, stondynge bifore the peyntyngis; and ech man hadde a censere in his hond, and the smoke of a cloude of encense stiede.
12 Et il me dit: Certes tu vois, fils d’un homme, ce que les anciens de la maison d’Israël font dans les ténèbres, chacun dans le secret de sa chambre; car ils disent: Le Seigneur ne nous voit point; le Seigneur a délaissé la terre.
And he seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou seest what thingis the eldere men of the hous of Israel doen in derknessis, ech man in the hid place of his bed; for thei seiyn, The Lord seeth not vs, the Lord hath forsake the lond.
13 Et il me dit: Si tu te tournes encore, tu verras des abominations plus grandes que celles que ces gens font.
And the Lord seide to me, Yit thou schalt turne, and schalt se gretter abhomynaciouns, whiche these men doon.
14 Et il me conduisit à l’entrée de la porte de la maison du Seigneur, qui regardait du côté de l’aquilon, et voici que là les femmes étaient assises pleurant Adonis.
And he ledde me with ynne, bi the dore of the yate of the hous of the Lord, which dore bihelde to the north; and lo! wymmen saten there, biweilynge Adonydes.
15 Et il me dit: Certes, tu as vu, fils d’un homme; si tu te tournes encore, tu verras des abominations plus grandes que celles-ci.
And the Lord seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou hast seyn; yit thou schalt turne, and schalt se gretere abhomynaciouns than these.
16 Et il me conduisit dans le parvis intérieur de la maison du Seigneur; et voilà qu’à l’entrée du temple du Seigneur, entre le vestibule et l’autel, environ vingt-cinq hommes tournant le dos au temple du Seigneur, et la face vers l’orient; et ils adoraient vers le lever du soleil.
And he ledde me with ynne, in to the ynnere halle of the hous of the Lord; and lo! in the dore of the temple of the Lord, bitwixe the porche and the auter, weren as fyue and twenti men hauynge the backis ayens the temple of the Lord, and her faces to the eest; and thei worschipiden at the risyng of the sunne.
17 Et il me dit: Certes, tu as vu, fils d’un homme; est-ce peu à la maison de Juda d’avoir fait les abominations qu’ils ont faites ici, puisque remplissant la terre d’iniquité, ils se sont appliqués à m’irriter? et voici qu’ils approchent le rameau de leurs narines.
And the Lord seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou hast seyn; whether this is a liyt thing to the hous of Juda, that thei schulden do these abhomynaciouns, whiche thei diden here? For thei filliden the lond with wickidnesse, and turneden to terre me to wraththe; and lo! thei applien a braunche to her nose thirlis.
18 Ainsi donc moi aussi j’agirai dans ma fureur; mon œil n’épargnera pas, je n’aurai pas de pitié; et lorsqu’ils crieront à mes oreilles à haute voix, je ne les écouterai point.
Therfor and Y schal do in strong veniaunce; myn iye schal not spare, nether Y schal do merci; and whanne thei schulen crie to myn eris with greet vois, Y schal not here hem.
