Ézéchiel 6
1 Et la parole du Seigneur me fut adressée, disant:
The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 Fils d’un homme, tourne ta face vers les montagnes d’Israël, et tu prophétiseras contre elles,
"Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy to them,
3 Et dis-leur: Montagnes d’Israël, écoutez la parole du Seigneur Dieu aux montagnes, aux collines, aux rochers et aux vallées: Voilà que moi j’amènerai sur vous le glaive, et je détruirai entièrement vos hauts lieux,
and say, 'You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD: Thus says the LORD to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys: "Look, I, even I, will bring a sword on you, and I will destroy your high places.
4 Et j’abattrai vos autels, et vos simulacres seront brisés; et je jetterai ceux qui vous seront tués devant vos idoles.
Your altars shall become desolate, and your incense altars shall be broken; and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.
5 Et je mettrai les cadavres des fils d’Israël devant la face de vos simulacres, et je disperserai vos os autour de vos autels.
I will lay the dead bodies of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones around your altars.
6 Dans toutes vos habitations les villes seront désertes, et les hauts lieux seront abattus et détruits; et vos autels tomberont et seront brisés; vos idoles ne seront plus, et vos temples seront détruits, et vos ouvrages périront.
In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.
7 Et les tués tomberont au milieu de vous, et vous saurez que moi je suis le Seigneur.
The slain shall fall in the midst of you, and you shall know that I am the LORD.
8 Et je laisserai d’entre vous ceux qui auront échappé au glaive, parmi les nations, lorsque je vous aurai dispersés dans les divers pays.
"'"Yet will I leave a remnant, in that you shall have some that escape the sword among the nations, when you shall be scattered through the countries.
9 Et ceux qui vous auront été délivrés se souviendront de moi parmi les nations, chez lesquelles ils auront été emmenés captifs, parce que j’ai brisé leur cœur fornicateur et qui s’est retiré de moi, et leurs yeux qui ont forniqué à la suite de leurs idoles; et ils se déplairont à eux-mêmes à cause des maux qu’ils ont faits dans leurs abominations.
Those of you that escape shall remember me among the nations where they shall be carried captive, how that I have been broken with their lewd heart, which has departed from me, and with their eyes, which play the prostitute after their idols: and they shall loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
10 Et ils sauront que moi, le Seigneur, je n’ai pas dit en vain que je leur ferais ce mal.
They shall know that I am the LORD: I have not said in vain that I would bring this disaster on them."'"
11 Voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu: Frappe ta main, et heurte ton pied, et dis: Malheur sur toutes les abominations des maux de la maison d’Israël, parce que c’est par le glaive, par la famine et par la peste qu’ils doivent tomber.
"Thus says the LORD: 'Strike with your hand, and stamp with your foot, and say, "Alas." because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel; for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
12 Celui qui est au loin mourra de la peste; mais celui qui est près tombera sous le glaive; celui qui aura été laissé et assiégé mourra de faim; et j’assouvirai mon indignation sur eux.
He who is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he who is near shall fall by the sword; and he who remains and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my wrath on them.
13 Et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur, lorsque ceux qui vous auront été tués seront gisants au milieu de vos idoles, autour de vos autels, sur toute colline élevée, et sur tous les sommets des montagnes, et sous tout arbre touffu, et sous tout chêne feuillu; lieux où ils ont brûlé des encens odorants en l’honneur de leurs idoles.
You shall know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the places where they offered pleasant aroma to all their idols.
14 Et j’étendrai ma main sur eux, et je rendrai la terre désolée et abandonnée, depuis le désert de Déblatha, dans toutes leurs habitations; et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur.
I will stretch out my hand on them, and make the land desolate and waste, from the wilderness toward Riblah, throughout all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD."'"
