Ézéchiel 34
1 Et la parole du Seigneur me fut adressée, disant:
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 Fils d’un homme, prophétise sur les pasteurs d’Israël: prophétise, et tu diras aux pasteurs: Voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu: Malheur aux pasteurs d’Israël qui se paissaient eux-mêmes; n’est-ce pas les troupeaux que les pasteurs font paître?
Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD to the shepherds; Woe [be] to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
3 Vous mangiez le lait, et vous vous couvriez des laines, et ce qui était gras, vous l’égorgiez: mais mon troupeau, vous ne le paissiez pas.
Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe yourselves with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: [but] ye feed not the flock.
4 Ce qui était faible, vous ne l’avez pas fortifié; et ce qui était malade, vous ne l’avez pas guéri; et ce qui a été brisé, vous ne l’avez pas lié; et ce qui était égaré, vous ne l’avez pas ramené; et ce qui était perdu, vous ne l’avez pas cherché; mais vous leur commandiez avec rigueur et avec empire.
The diseased ye have not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up [that which was] broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
5 Et mes brebis ont été dispersées, parce qu’il n’y avait point de pasteur; et elles sont devenues la pâture de toutes les bêtes des champs, et elles ont été dispersées.
And they were scattered, because [there is] no shepherd: and they became food to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
6 Mes troupeaux ont erré sur toutes les montagnes et sur toute colline élevée; et sur toute la face de la terre mes troupeaux ont été dispersés, et il n’y avait personne qui les recherchât, il n’y avait personne, dis-je, qui les recherchât.
My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yes, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek [for them].
7 À cause de cela, pasteurs, écoutez la parole du Seigneur.
Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
8 Je vis, moi, dit le Seigneur Dieu: parce que mes troupeaux sont devenus une proie, et mes brebis la pâture de toutes les bêtes des champs, parce qu’il n’y avait pas de pasteur, car mes pasteurs n’ont pas cherché mon troupeau; mais les pasteurs se paissaient eux-mêmes, et mes troupeaux, ils ne les paissaient pas;
[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became food to every beast of the field, because [there was] no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
9 À cause de cela, pasteurs, écoutez la parole du Seigneur.
Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
10 Voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu: Voilà que je viens moi-même vers ces pasteurs; je redemanderai mon troupeau à leur main, et j’empêcherai qu’ils ne paissent à l’avenir un troupeau, et que ces pasteurs ne se paissent eux-mêmes; et j’arracherai mon troupeau à leur bouche, et il ne sera plus leur nourriture.
Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I [am] against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be food for them.
11 Parce que voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu: Voilà que moi-même je rechercherai mes brebis, et que je les visiterai.
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [even] I, will both search for my sheep, and seek them out.
12 Comme un berger visite son troupeau au jour où il est au milieu de ses brebis disséminées; ainsi je visiterai mes brebis; et je les délivrerai de tous les lieux où elles avaient été dispersées dans un jour de nuage et d’obscurité;
As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep [that are] scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
13 Et je les retirerai d’entre les peuples, et je les rassemblerai de divers pays, et je les amènerai dans leur propre terre, et je les ferai paître sur les montagnes d’Israël, le long des ruisseaux, et dans tous les lieux habités du pays.
And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
14 C’est dans les pâturages les plus abondants que je les ferai paître, et sur les hautes montagnes d’Israël que seront leurs pâturages: là, elles se reposeront sur des herbes verdoyantes, et elles paîtront dans des pâturages gras, sur les montagnes d’Israël.
I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and [in] a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
15 C’est moi qui paîtrai mes brebis, moi qui les ferai reposer, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.
16 Ce qui était perdu, je le rechercherai; et ce qui était égaré, je le ramènerai; et ce qui était brisé, je le lierai; et ce qui était faible, je le fortifierai; et ce qui était fort et gras, je le conserverai, et je les ferai paître avec discernement.
I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up [that which was] broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
17 Mais vous, mes troupeaux, voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu: Voilà que moi je juge entre troupeau et troupeau de béliers et de boucs.
And [as for] you, O my flock, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he-goats.
18 N’était-ce pas assez pour vous de paître en de bons pâturages? mais vous avez de plus foulé aux pieds les restes de vos pâturages, et lorsque vous buviez une eau très pure, vous troubliez le reste avec vos pieds.
[Seemeth it] a small thing to you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drank of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?
19 Et mes brebis paissaient ce qui avait été foulé par vos pieds, et ce que vos pieds avaient troublé, elles le buvaient.
And [as for] my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.
20 À cause de cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu: Voilà que moi-même je juge entre une brebis grasse et une maigre;
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD to them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.
21 Parce que vous heurtiez des côtés et de l’épaule, et que vous choquiez de vos cornes toutes les brebis faibles, jusqu’à ce qu’elles fussent dispersées dehors;
Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad;
22 Je sauverai mon troupeau, il ne sera plus en proie, et je jugerai entre brebis et brebis.
Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
23 Et JE SUSCITERAI SUR ELLES UN PASTEUR UNIQUE qui les paisse, mon serviteur David; lui-même me les paîtra, et il sera pour elles un pasteur.
And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, [even] my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
24 Mais moi, le Seigneur, je serai leur Dieu, et mon serviteur David sera prince au milieu d’eux; c’est moi, le Seigneur, qui ai parlé.
And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken [it].
25 Et je ferai avec eux une alliance de paix, et j’exterminerai de la terre les bêtes très mauvaises; et ceux qui habitent dans le désert dormiront avec sécurité dans les forêts.
And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
26 Et je les rendrai autour de ma colline une bénédiction; et j’amènerai la pluie en son temps; ce seront des pluies de bénédiction.
And I will make them and the places around my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there shall be showers of blessing.
27 Et l’arbre des champs donnera son fruit, et la terre donnera son germe; et ils seront dans leur terre sans crainte; et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur, lorsque j’aurai brisé les chaînes de leur joug, et que je les aurai arrachés de la main de ceux qui les tenaient sous leur empire.
And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that subjected them to service.
28 Et ils ne seront plus en proie aux nations, et les bêtes de la terre ne les dévoreront pas; mais ils habiteront avec confiance sans aucune crainte.
And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make [them] afraid.
29 Et je leur susciterai un germe renommé, ils ne seront plus détruits par la famine sur la terre, et ils ne porteront plus l’opprobre des nations.
And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.
30 Et ils sauront que moi le Seigneur leur Dieu, je suis avec eux, et qu’eux-mêmes sont mon peuple, la maison d’Israël, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God [am] with them, and [that] they, [even] the house of Israel, [are] my people, saith the Lord GOD.
31 Mais vous, mes troupeaux, les troupeaux de mon pâturage, vous êtes des hommes, et moi je suis le Seigneur votre Dieu, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, [are] men, [and] I [am] your God, saith the Lord GOD.
