Exode 39
1 Or Béséléel fit aussi d’hyacinthe, de pourpre, et d’écarlate et de lin fin, les vêtements dont devait être revêtu Aaron, quand il servait dans les lieux saints, comme avait ordonné le Seigneur à Moïse.
And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made finely wrought garments, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as the LORD commanded Moses.
2 Il fit donc l’éphod d’or, d’hyacinthe, de pourpre, d’écarlate deux fois teinte, et de fin lin retors,
And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
3 D’un ouvrage de tisseur en diverses couleurs, et il tailla des feuilles d’or, et les réduisit en fils, pour qu’elles pussent être retordues dans le tissu des couleurs précédentes.
And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, the work of the cunning workman.
4 Il fit de plus les deux bords de l’éphod joints l’un à l’autre aux deux côtés des sommités,
They made shoulderpieces for it, joined together: at the two ends was it joined together.
5 Et la ceinture des mêmes couleurs, comme avait ordonné le Seigneur à Moïse.
And the cunningly woven band, that was upon it, to gird it on withal, was of the same piece [and] like the work thereof; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as the LORD commanded Moses.
6 Il prépara aussi les deux pierres d’onyx, attachées et enchâssées dans de l’or et portant les noms des enfants d’Israël gravés selon l’art d’un lapidaire;
And they wrought the onyx stones, enclosed in ouches of gold, graven with the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the children of Israel.
7 Puis il les plaça aux côtés de l’éphod, en souvenir des fils d’Israël, comme avait ordonné le Seigneur à Moïse.
And he put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.
8 Il fit encore le rational, d’un ouvrage de tisseur en diverses couleurs, selon le travail de l’éphod, d’or, d’hyacinthe, de pourpre, d’écarlate deux fois teinte, et de fin lin retors.
And he made the breastplate, the work of the cunning workman, like the work of the ephod; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9 Il le fit carré, double, de la mesure d’une palme.
It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being double.
10 Et il posa quatre rangs de pierres précieuses. À la première rangée il y avait une sardoine, une topaze, une émeraude;
And they set in it four rows of stones: a row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle was the first row.
11 À la seconde, une escarboucle, un saphir et un jaspe;
And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
12 À la troisième, un ligure, une agate et une améthyste;
And the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst.
13 À la quatrième, un chrysolithe, un onyx et un béryl, après les avoir environnés d’or et les y avoir enchâssés, selon leurs rangs.
And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: they were enclosed in ouches of gold in their settings.
14 Et ces douze pierres elles-mêmes portaient gravés les douze noms des tribus d’Israël, chaque pierre chaque nom.
And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names; like the engravings of a signet, every one according to his name, for the twelve tribes.
15 Ils firent aussi au rational deux chaînettes, se tenant l’une à l’autre, d un or très-pur;
And they made upon the breastplate chains like cords, of wreathen work of pure gold.
16 Deux agrafes et autant d’anneaux d’or. Or, ils posèrent aux deux côtés du rational les anneaux.
And they made two ouches of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
17 Desquels pendaient les deux chaînes d’or qu’ils attachèrent aux agrafes qui sortaient des angles de l’éphod.
And they put the two wreathen chains of gold on the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.
18 Tout cela était ajusté devant et derrière, de manière que l’éphod et le rational se tenaient unis l’un à l’autre,
And the [other] two ends of the two wreathen chains they put on the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, in the forepart thereof.
19 Etant serrés près de la ceinture, et fortement liés par des anneaux que joignaient ensemble un ruban d’hyacinthe, afin qu’ils ne fussent point lâches, et qu’ils ne s’écartassent pas l’un de l’autre, comme a ordonné le Seigneur à Moïse.
And they made two rings of gold, and put them upon the two ends of the breastplate, upon the edge thereof, which was toward the side of the ephod inward.
20 Ils firent aussi la tunique de l’éphod toute d’hyacinthe,
And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two shoulderpieces of the ephod underneath, in the forepart thereof, close by the coupling thereof, above the cunningly woven band of the ephod.
21 Une ouverture à la partie supérieure vers le milieu, et un bord tissu autour de l’ouverture;
And they did bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be upon the cunningly woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; as the LORD commanded Moses.
22 Mais au bas, vers les pieds, des grenades d’hyacinthe, de pourpre, d’écarlate et de fin lin retors;
And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue;
23 Et des sonnettes d’un or pur, qu’ils posèrent entre les grenades, à la partie inférieure de la tunique, tout autour:
and the hole of the robe in the midst thereof, as the hole of a coat of mail, with a binding round about the hole of it, that it should not be rent.
24 Une sonnette d’or et une grenade; c’est revêtu de ces ornements que le pontife exerçait les fonctions de son ministère, comme avait ordonné le Seigneur à Moïse.
And they made upon the skirts of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, [and] twined [linen].
25 Ils firent encore les tuniques tissues de fin lin pour Aaron et ses fils,
And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the skirts of the robe round about, between the pomegranates;
26 Les mitres avec leurs petites couronnes de fin lin;
a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, upon the skirts of the robe round about, to minister in; as the LORD commanded Moses.
27 Et aussi de fin lin, les caleçons de lin,
And they made the coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,
28 Mais la ceinture de fin lin retors, d’hyacinthe, de pourpre et d’écarlate deux fois teintes, en broderie, comme avait ordonné le Seigneur à Moïse.
and the mitre of fine linen, and the goodly headtires of fine linen, and the linen breeches of fine twined linen,
29 Ils firent de plus la lame de la sainte vénération, d’un or très pur, et ils y écrivirent en ouvrage de lapidaire: La sainteté du Seigneur;
and the girdle of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, the work of the embroiderer; as the LORD commanded Moses.
30 Et ils la lièrent à la mitre avec un ruban d’hyacinthe, comme avait ordonné le Seigneur à Moïse.
And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like the engravings of a signet, HOLY TO THE LORD.
31 Ainsi, tout l’ouvrage du tabernacle et du toit de témoignage fut achevé; et les enfants d’Israël firent tout ce qu’avait ordonné le Seigneur à Moïse.
And they tied unto it a lace of blue, to fasten it upon the mitre above; as the LORD commanded Moses.
32 Et ils présentèrent le tabernacle et son toit et toutes ses dépendances, les anneaux, les ais, les leviers, les colonnes et les soubassements;
Thus was finished all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting: and the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
33 La couverture de peaux de béliers teintes en rouge, et l’autre couverture de peaux violettes;
And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the Tent, and all its furniture, its clasps, its boards, its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets;
34 Le voile, l’arche, les leviers, le propitiatoire;
and the covering of rams’ skins dyed red, and the covering of sealskins, and the veil of the screen;
35 La table et ses vases et les pains de proposition,
the ark of the testimony, and the staves thereof, and the mercy-seat;
36 Le chandelier, les lampes, et leurs ustensiles avec l’huile;
the table, all the vessels thereof, and the shewbread;
37 L’autel d’or, le parfum à oindre et le parfum à brûler, composé d’aromates;
the pure candlestick, the lamps thereof, even the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for the light;
38 Le voile à l’entrée du tabernacle;
and the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the screen for the door of the Tent;
39 L’autel d’airain, la grille, les leviers et tous ses vases; le bassin avec sa base; les rideaux du parvis, et les colonnes avec leurs soubassements;
the brasen altar, and its grating of brass, its staves, and all its vessels, the laver and its base;
40 Le voile à l’entrée du parvis, ses cordages et ses pieux. Rien ne manqua des choses que, pour le service du tabernacle et pour le toit d’alliance. Dieu avait commandé de faire.
the hangings of the court, its pillars, and its sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court, the cords thereof, and the pins thereof, and all the instruments of the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting;
41 Et aussi les vêtements dont les prêtres se servent dans le sanctuaire, c’est-à-dire Aaron et ses fils,
the finely wrought garments for ministering in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office.
42 Les enfants d’Israël les présentèrent, comme avait ordonné le Seigneur.
According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did all the work.
43 Après que Moïse eut vu toutes ces choses achevées, il les bénit.
And Moses saw all the work, and, behold, they had done it; as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.
