Deutéronome 5
1 Or, Moïse appela tout Israël et lui dit: Ecoute, Israël, les cérémonies et les ordonnances que moi, je vous fais entendre aujourd’hui; apprenez-les et les accomplissez par vos œuvres.
And he summoned Moses all Israel and he said to them hear O Israel the statutes and the judgments which I [am] speaking in ears your this day and you will learn them and you will take care to observe them.
2 Le Seigneur notre Dieu a fait avec nous une alliance à Horeb.
Yahweh God our he made with us a covenant at Horeb.
3 Ce n’est pas avec nos pères qu’il a fait cette alliance, mais avec nous qui sommes maintenant et qui vivons.
Not with ancestors our he made Yahweh the covenant this for with us we these here this day all of us alive.
4 Il nous a parlé face à face sur la montagne du milieu du feu.
Face - on face he spoke Yahweh with you at the mountain from [the] middle of the fire.
5 C’est moi qui fus l’interprète et le médiateur entre le Seigneur et vous en ce temps-là, pour vous annoncer ses paroles; car vous craignîtes le feu, et vous ne montâtes pas sur la montagne, et il dit:
I [was] standing between Yahweh and between you at the time that to declare to you [the] word of Yahweh for you were afraid of the fire and not you went up on the mountain saying.
6 Je suis le Seigneur ton Dieu qui t’ai retiré de la terre d’Egypte, de la maison de servitude.
I [am] Yahweh God your who I brought out you from [the] land of Egypt (from a house of slaves. *L(p)*)
7 Tu n’auras point de dieux étrangers en ma présence.
(Not it will belong to you gods other *L(p)*) on (face my. *L(p)*)
8 Tu ne te feras point d’image taillée au ciseau, ni de représentation de tout ce qui est dans le ciel en haut, et de ce qui est sur la terre en bas, et de ce qui se trouve dans les eaux sous la terre.
(Not you must make for yourself an image of - *L(p)*) any (form which [is] in the heavens - above and which [is] on the earth beneath *L(p)*) and which ([is] in the waters - from under to the earth. *L(p)*)
9 Tu ne les adoreras pas et tu ne les serviras pas. Car c’est moi qui suis le Seigneur ton Dieu, Dieu jaloux, rejetant l’iniquité des pères sur les enfants jusqu’à la troisième et la quatrième génération de ceux qui me haïssent,
Not (you must bow down to them *L(p)*) and not (you must be enticed to serve them *L(p)*) for I Yahweh God your [am] a God jealous [who] visits [the] iniquity of parents on children and on a third generation and on a fourth generation (of [those who] hate me. *L(p)*)
10 Et faisant miséricorde dans plusieurs milliers de générations, à ceux qui m’aiment et gardent mes préceptes.
(And [who] does covenant loyalty *L(p)*) (to thousands *L(b+p)*) of [those who] love me and of [those who] keep (commandments my. *Q(K)*)
11 Tu ne prendras point le nom du Seigneur ton Dieu en vain: car il ne sera pas impuni, celui qui pour une chose vaine prendra son nom.
Not you must take [the] name of Yahweh God your for emptiness for not he will leave unpunished Yahweh [one] who he will take name his for emptiness.
12 Observe le jour du sabbat, afin de le sanctifier, comme t’a ordonné le Seigneur ton Dieu.
(Keep *L(p)*) ([the] day of the sabbath to set apart as holy it *L(p)*) just as (he commanded you - Yahweh God your. *L(p)*)
13 Pendant six jours tu travailleras, et tu feras tous tes ouvrages.
(Six days *L(p)*) (you will labor *L(b+p)*) (and you will do all work your. *L(p)*)
14 Mais le septième jour est celui du sabbat, c’est-à-dire le repos du Seigneur ton Dieu. Tu ne feras en ce jour aucun ouvrage, ni toi, ni ton fils, ni ta fille, ni ton serviteur, ni ta servante, ni ton bœuf, ni ton âne, ni aucune de tes bêtes, ni l’étranger qui est au-dedans de tes portes; afin que ton serviteur et ta servante se reposent comme toi aussi.
And [the] day (seventh [is] a sabbath - *L(p)*) (to Yahweh *L(b+p)*) (God your *L(p)*) not you must do any work you and son your and daughter your and [male] servant your and female servant your and ox your and donkey your and all livestock your and sojourner your who [is] in gates your so that he may rest [male] servant your and female servant your (like you. *L(p)*)
15 Souviens-toi que toi-même aussi tu as servi en Egypte, et que le Seigneur ton Dieu t’en a retiré par une main puissante et un bras étendu. C’est pourquoi il t’a ordonné d’observer le jour du sabbat.
(And you will remember *L(p)*) that (a slave you were - *L(p)*) in [the] land of (Egypt and he brought out you Yahweh God your from there by a hand strong *L(p)*) and by an arm (outstretched *L(p)*) there-fore he has commanded you Yahweh God your to observe [the] day of the sabbath.
16 Honore ton père et ta mère, comme t’a ordonné le Seigneur ton Dieu, afin que tu vives longtemps, et que bien t’arrive dans la terre que le Seigneur ton Dieu va te donner.
Honor father your and mother your just as he has commanded you Yahweh God your so that - they may be long! days your and so that it may go well for you on the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you.
17 Tu ne tueras point.
(Not you must murder. *L(p)*)
18 Tu ne commettras point d’adultère.
(And not you must commit adultery. *L(p)*)
19 Et tu ne feras point de vol.
(And not you must steal. *L(p)*)
20 Tu ne porteras point de faux témoignage contre ton prochain.
And not you must testify against neighbor your testimony of falsehood.
21 Tu ne convoiteras point la femme de ton prochain, ni sa maison, ni son champ, ni son serviteur, ni sa servante, ni son bœuf, ni son âne, ni aucune des choses qui sont à lui.
And not you must covet [the] wife of neighbor your. And not you must desire [the] house of neighbor your field his and [male] servant his and female servant his ox his and donkey his and all that [belongs] to neighbor your.
22 Ce sont là les paroles qu’a dites le Seigneur à toute votre multitude, sur la montagne, du milieu du feu, de la nuée et de l’obscurité, avec une voix forte, n’ajoutant rien de plus; et il les écrivit sur deux tables de pierre, qu’il me remit.
The words these he spoke Yahweh to all assembly your at the mountain from [the] middle of the fire the cloud and the thick darkness a voice great and not he added and he inscribed them on two tablets of stone and he gave them to me.
23 Mais vous, après que vous eûtes entendu sa voix du milieu des ténèbres et que vous eûtes vu la montagne embrasée, vous vous approchâtes de moi, tous les princes des tribus, et les anciens, et vous dites:
And it was when heard you the voice from [the] middle of the darkness and the mountain [was] burning with fire and you drew near! to me all [the] chiefs of tribes your and elders your.
24 Voilà que le Seigneur notre Dieu nous a montré sa majesté et sa grandeur; nous avons entendu sa voix du milieu du feu, et nous avons éprouvé aujourd’hui, que Dieu ayant parlé avec l’homme, l’homme conserve la vie.
And you said here! he has shown us Yahweh God our glory his and greatness his and voice his we have heard from [the] middle of the fire the day this we have seen that he speaks God with humankind and he will live.
25 Pourquoi donc mourrons nous, et ce très grand feu nous dévorera-t-il? Car si nous entendons encore la voix du Seigneur notre Dieu, nous mourrons.
And therefore why? will we die for it will consume us the fire great this if [are] repeating - we to hear [the] voice of Yahweh God our again and we will die.
26 Qu’est toute chair, pour qu’elle entende la voix du Dieu vivant, qui parle du milieu du feu, comme nous avons entendu, et qu’elle puisse vivre?
For who? [is] all flesh who he has heard [the] voice of God living speaking from [the] middle of the fire like us and he has lived.
27 Approche plutôt, toi, et écoute tout ce que te dira le Seigneur notre Dieu; tu nous le rapporteras ensuite, et, l’ayant entendu, nous le ferons.
Draw near you and hear all that he will say Yahweh God our and you - you will speak to us all that he will speak Yahweh God our to you and we will listen and we will do [it].
28 Ce qu’ayant entendu le Seigneur, il me dit: J’ai entendu la voix des paroles de ce peuple, lorsqu’ils t’ont parlé: ils ont bien dit toutes ces choses.
And he heard Yahweh [the] sound of words your when spoke you to me and he said Yahweh to me I have heard [the] sound of [the] words of the people this which they spoke to you they have done well all that they have spoken.
29 Qui leur donnera d’avoir un esprit tel, qu’ils me craignent, et qu’ils gardent tous mes commandements en tout temps, afin que bien leur arrive, à eux et à leurs enfants pour jamais.
Who? will he give and it will belong heart their this to them to fear me and to keep all commandments my all the days so that it may go well for them and for children their for ever.
30 Va, et dis-leur: Retournez en vos tentes.
Go say to them return yourselves to tents your.
31 Mais toi, demeure ici avec moi, et je te dirai tous mes commandements, les cérémonies et les ordonnances, que tu leur enseigneras, afin qu’ils les pratiquent dans la terre que je leur donnerai en possession.
And you here stand with me so let me speak to you all the commandment and the statutes and the judgments which you will teach them and they will observe [them] in the land which I [am] about to give to them to take possession of it.
32 Gardez donc et faites ce que vous a ordonné le Seigneur votre Dieu; vous ne vous détournerez ni à droite ni à gauche;
And you will take care to do just as he has commanded Yahweh God your you not you must turn aside right [hand] and left [hand].
33 Mais c’est par la voie qu’a prescrite le Seigneur votre Dieu que vous marcherez, afin que vous viviez et que bien vous arrive, et que vos jours soient prolongés dans la terre de votre possession.
In all the way which he has commanded Yahweh God your you you will walk so that you may live! and it will be good for you and you will prolong days in the land which you will take possession of!
