Deutéronome 29
1 Voici les paroles de l’alliance que le Seigneur ordonna à Moïse de faire avec les enfants d’Israël dans la terre de Moab, outre l’autre alliance qu’il fit avec eux à Horeb.
These [are] [the] words of the covenant which he commanded Yahweh Moses to make with [the] people of Israel in [the] land of Moab besides the covenant which he had made with them at Horeb.
2 Moïse donc appela tout Israël et leur dit: Vous, vous avez vu tout ce qu’a fait le Seigneur devant vous dans la terre d’Egypte, à Pharaon, à tous ses serviteurs et à toute sa terre,
And he summoned Moses all Israel and he said to them you you have seen all that he did Yahweh to eyes your in [the] land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all servants his and to all land his.
3 Les grandes épreuves qu’ont vues vos yeux, ces signes et ces prodiges considérables,
The trials great which they saw eyes your the signs and the wonders great those.
4 Et le Seigneur ne vous a pas donné jusqu’au présent jour un cœur intelligent, des yeux voyants et des oreilles qui peuvent entendre.
And not he has given Yahweh to you a heart to know and eyes to see and ears to hear until the day this.
5 Il vous a conduits durant quarante ans à travers le désert: vos vêtements ne se sont pas usés, et la chaussure de vos pieds n’a pas été détruite de vétusté.
And I led you forty year[s] in the wilderness not they wore out clothes your from on you and sandal your not it wore out from on foot your.
6 Vous n’avez pas mangé de pain, vous n’avez pas bu de vin et de cervoise, afin que vous sussiez que c’est moi qui suis le Seigneur votre Dieu.
Bread not you ate and wine and strong drink not you drank so that you may know that I [am] Yahweh God your.
7 Et vous êtes venu en ce lieu, et Séhon, roi d’Hésébon, est sorti, ainsi que Og, roi de Basan, venant au-devant de nous pour le combat. Et nous les avons battus,
And you came to the place this and he came out Sihon [the] king of Heshbon and Og [the] king of Bashan to meet us for battle and we defeated them.
8 Et nous avons pris leur terre, et nous l’avons remise, pour la posséder, à Ruben, à Gad et à la demi-tribu de Manassé.
And we took land their and we gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s] and to [the] half of [the] tribe of the Manassite[s].
9 Gardez donc les paroles de cette alliance, et accomplissez-les, afin que vous compreniez tout ce que vous faites.
And you will keep [the] words of the covenant this and you will do them so that you may cause to prosper all that you will do!
10 Vous êtes tous aujourd’hui devant le Seigneur votre Dieu, vos princes, vos tribus, les anciens et les docteurs, tout le peuple d’Israël,
You [are] standing this day all of you before Yahweh God your chiefs your tribes your elders your and officials your every man of Israel.
11 Vos enfants et vos femmes, et l’étranger qui demeure avec vous dans le camp, excepté ceux qui coupent le bois, et ceux qui portent l’eau,
Little one[s] your wives your and sojourner your who [is] in [the] midst of camps your from [the] cutter of wood your unto [the] drawer of water your.
12 Afin que tu entres dans l’alliance du Seigneur ton Dieu, et dans le serment que te fait aujourd’hui le Seigneur ton Dieu,
To pass on you in [the] covenant of Yahweh God your and in oath his which Yahweh God your [is] making with you this day.
13 Afin qu’il se suscite en toi un peuple, et que lui-même soit ton Dieu, comme il t’a dit, et comme il a juré à tes pères, Abraham, Isaac et Jacob.
So as to establish you this day - of him to a people and he he will become for you God just as he spoke to you and just as he swore to ancestors your to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob.
14 Et ce n’est pas pour vous seuls que moi, je fais cette alliance et je confirme ces serments,
And not with you to alone you I [am] making the covenant this and the oath this.
15 Mais c’est pour tous ceux qui sont présents, et pour tous ceux qui sont absents.
For with [the one] who there he here with us [is] standing this day before Yahweh God our and with [the one] who there not he here [is] with us this day.
16 Car vous, vous savez de quelle manière nous avons habité dans la terre d’Egypte, et de quelle manière nous avons passé au milieu des nations, et qu’en les traversant,
For you you know this: we dwelt in [the] land of Egypt and this: we passed in [the] midst of the nations which you passed through.
17 Vous avez vu leurs abominations et leurs ordures, c’est-à-dire leurs idoles, du bois, de la pierre, de l’argent et de l’or, qu’ils adoraient.
And you saw detestable things their and idols their wood and stone silver and gold which [were] with them.
18 Que s’il y avait parmi vous un homme ou une femme, une famille ou une tribu dont le cœur est aujourd’hui détourné du Seigneur notre Dieu, en sorte qu’il aille et qu’il serve les nations, et qui soit parmi vous une racine produisant du fiel et de l’amertume;
Lest there [be] among you a man or a woman or a clan or a tribe who heart his [is] turning away this day from with Yahweh God our to go to serve [the] gods of the nations those lest there [be] among you a root bearing fruit poison and wormwood.
19 Et que quand il aura entendu les paroles de ce serment, il se flatte en lui-même, disant: La paix sera avec moi, et je marcherai dans la perversité de mon cœur: alors que la racine bien abreuvée consume celle qui a soif,
And it will be when hears he [the] words of the oath this and he will bless himself in heart his saying peace it will belong to me for in [the] stubbornness of heart my I walk so as to sweep away the watered [ground] with the thirsty [ground].
20 Et que le Seigneur ne lui pardonne point; mais que sa fureur et son zèle contre cet homme jettent la fumée la plus épaisse; que toutes les malédictions qui sont écrites dans ce livre s’arrêtent sur lui; que le Seigneur efface son nom de dessous le ciel.
Not he will be willing Yahweh to forgive him for then it will smoke [the] anger of Yahweh and jealousy his on the man that and it will lie down on him every oath that is written in the book this and he will wipe out Yahweh name his from under the heavens.
21 Et qu’il l’extermine pour jamais de toutes les tribus d’israël, selon les malédictions, qui sont contenues dans le livre de cette loi et de l’alliance.
And he will separate him Yahweh for harm from all [the] tribes of Israel according to all [the] oaths of the covenant that is written in [the] book of the law this.
22 Et la génération suivante et les enfants qui naîtront successivement, et les étrangers qui seront venus de loin, voyant les plaies de cette terre et les infirmités dont l’aura affligée le Seigneur,
And it will say the generation later children your who they will arise from after you and the foreigner who he will come from a land distant and they will see [the] plagues of the land that and diseases its which he has made sick Yahweh it.
23 En la brûlant par le soufre et par l’ardeur du sel, de sorte qu’elle ne soit plus semée, et qu’elle ne pousse plus aucune verdure, à l’exemple de la ruine de Sodome et de Gomorrhe, d’Adama et de Séboïm, que le Seigneur renversa dans sa colère et sa fureur,
[is] sulfur And salt a burning waste all land its not it is sown and not it causes to grow and not it comes up in it any vegetation like [the] overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah Admah (and Zeboiim *Q(k)*) which he overthrew Yahweh in anger his and in rage his.
24 Et toutes les nations diront: Pourquoi le Seigneur a-t-il fait ainsi à cette terre? qu’est-ce que cette immense colère de sa fureur?
And they will say all the nations concerning what? has he done Yahweh thus to the land this why? [is] [the] heat of the anger great this.
25 Et on leur répondra: Parce qu’ils ont abandonné l’alliance du Seigneur, qu’il a faite avec leurs pères, quand il les a retirés de la terre d’Egypte;
And people will say on that they forsook [the] covenant of Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their which he made with them when brought out he them from [the] land of Egypt.
26 Et qu’ils ont servi des dieux étrangers, qu’ils les ont adorés, des dieux qu’ils ne connaissaient pas et auxquels ils n’appartenaient pas;
And they went and they served gods other and they bowed down to them gods which not they had known them and not he had assigned to them.
27 C’est pour cela que la fureur du Seigneur s’est irritée contre cette terre, afin qu’il amenât sur elle toutes les malédictions qui sont écrites dans ce livre;
And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on the land that to bring on it every curse that is written in the book this.
28 Et il les a chassés de leur terre dans sa colère, dans sa fureur et dans sa plus grande indignation, et il les a jetés dans une terre étrangère, comme il est entièrement prouvé aujourd’hui.
And he plucked up them Yahweh from on land their in anger and in rage and in wrath great and he threw out them to a land another as the day this.
29 Les choses cachées sont au Seigneur notre Dieu, celles qui sont manifestes, à nous et à nos enfants à jamais, afin que nous accomplissions toutes les paroles de cette loi.
The hidden [things] [belong] to Yahweh God our and the revealed [things] [belong] to us and to descendants our until perpetuity to do all [the] words of the law this.
