Actes 15
1 Et quelques-uns, qui étaient descendus de Judée, enseignaient aux frères: Si vous n’êtes circoncis suivant le rit de Moïse, vous ne pouvez être sauvés.
But men from Jihud came down and taught the brethren, If you be not circumcised after the custom of the law, you cannot be saved.
2 Paul et Barnabé s’étant donc fortement élevés contre eux, il fut résolu que Paul et Barnabé, et quelques-uns d’entre les autres, iraient à Jérusalem vers les apôtres et les prêtres pour cette question.
And there were great agitation and disputation for Paulos and Bar Naba with them; and it was that Paulos and Bar Naba, and others with them, went up to the apostles and presbyters who were in Urishlem on account of this question.
3 Ceux-ci donc, accompagnés par l’Eglise, traversèrent la Phénicie et la Samarie, racontant la conversion des gentils; et ils causaient ainsi à tous les frères une grande joie.
And conducting, the church dismissed them; and they went through all Punika, and also among the Shomroyee, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles; and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
4 Arrivés à Jérusalem, ils furent reçus par l’Eglise, par les apôtres et les anciens, auxquels ils racontèrent combien Dieu avait fait de grandes choses avec eux.
AND when they came to Urishlem, they were received by the church, and by the apostles, and by the presbyters. And they recounted to them how much Aloha had done with them;
5 Mais que quelques-uns de la secte des pharisiens, qui avaient embrassé la foi, s’étaient levés, disant qu’il fallait qu’ils fussent circoncis, et qu’on leur ordonnât de garder la loi de Moïse.
but (that) certain had arisen who had believed from the doctrine of the Pharishee, and said, It behoved you to circumcise them, and require them to keep the law of Musha.
6 Les apôtres et les prêtres s’assemblèrent donc pour examiner cette question.
But the apostles and presbyters assembled to consider this doctrine.
7 Mais après une grande discussion, Pierre, se levant, leur dit: Hommes, mes frères, vous savez qu’en des jours déjà anciens. Dieu m’a choisi parmi vous afin que les gentils entendissent par ma bouche la parole de l’Evangile, et qu’ils crussent.
And when there had been much investigation, Shemun arose, and said to them, Men, brethren, you know that from the first days from my mouth did Aloha choose that the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.
8 Et Dieu, qui connaît les cœurs, leur a rendu témoignage, leur donnant l’Esprit-Saint, comme à nous;
And Aloha, who knoweth what is in the hearts, testified of them, and gave them the Spirit of Holiness, as to us.
9 Et il n’a fait entre nous et eux aucune différence, purifiant leurs cœurs par la foi.
And nothing distinguished between us and them, because he had purified by faith their hearts.
10 Maintenant donc, pourquoi tentez-vous Dieu, imposant aux disciples un joug que ni nos pères ni nous n’avons pu porter?
And now why tempt you Aloha, that you would lay a yoke upon the necks of the disciples, which nor our fathers nor we could bear?
11 Mais c’est par la grâce de Jésus-Christ que nous croyons être sauvés, comme eux aussi.
But by the grace of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, we believe that we shall be saved, as they.
12 Alors toute l’assemblée se tut; et ils écoutaient Barnabé et Paul racontant combien de miracles et de prodiges Dieu avait faits par eux parmi les gentils.
And all the assembly were silent. And they listened to Paulos and Bar Naba, who related how Aloha had done by their hands signs and mighty works among the Gentiles.
13 Et après qu’ils se furent tus, Jacques répondit, disant: Hommes, mes frères, écoutez-moi:
AND after they were silent, Jakub arose, and said, Men, brethren, hear me:
14 Simon a raconté comment Dieu, dès le principe, a visité les gentils, afin de choisir parmi eux un peuple pour son nom.
Shemun hath related to you how Aloha hath begun to elect from the Gentiles a people to his name.
15 Et les paroles des prophètes s’accordent avec lui, ainsi qu’il est écrit:
And with this accord the words of the prophets; as when it is written,
16 Après cela je reviendrai, et je rebâtirai le tabernacle de David, qui est tombé; je réparerai ses ruines et je le relèverai;
After these I will return, And raise the dwelling of David which hath fallen; And I will build that which hath fallen from it, And will raise it up:
17 Afin que le reste des hommes cherchent le Seigneur, et aussi toutes les nations sur lesquelles mon nom a été invoqué, dit le Seigneur, qui fait ces choses.
That the residue of men may seek the Lord, And all the Gentiles, on whom my name is called,
Saith the Lord, who doeth all these. Known from eternity are the works of Aloha. (aiōn g165)
19 C’est pourquoi moi, je juge qu’on ne doit pas inquiéter ceux d’entre les gentils qui se convertissent à Dieu,
On this account I say, that we should not molest those who from the Gentiles have been converted unto Aloha;
20 Mais leur écrire qu’ils s’abstiennent des souillures des idoles, de la fornication, des animaux étouffés, et du sang.
but that we send to them, that they shall separate from the uncleanness of (idol) sacrifice, and from fornication, and from the strangled, and from blood.
21 Quant à Moïse, depuis les temps anciens, il a, en chaque ville, des hommes qui le prêchent dans les synagogues, où on le lit tous les jours de sabbat.
For Musha from former generations in all cities hath had preachers in the synagogues who on all shabaths read him.
22 Alors il plut aux apôtres et aux anciens, avec toute l’Eglise, de choisir quelques-uns d’entre eux, et de les envoyer, avec Paul et Barnabé, à Antioche: Jude, qui est surnommé Barsabas, et Silas, qui étaient des principaux entre les frères,
Then the apostles and presbyters, with all the church, elected men from them, and sent to Antiokia with Paulos and Bar Naba Jihuda, who was called Bar Shaba, and Shilo, men who were chief among the brethren.
23 Ecrivant par eux: Les APOTRES et les prêtres, frères, aux frères d’entre les gentils, qui sont à Antioche, et en Syrie et en Cilicie, salut.
AND they wrote an epistle by their hands, thus: The apostles and presbyters and brethren, to those who are in Antiokia and in Syria and in Cilicia, the brethren who are of the Gentiles; peace.
24 Comme nous avons appris que quelques-uns sortant d’au milieu de nous vous ont troublés par leurs discours, en bouleversant vos âmes, quoique nous ne leur eussions donné aucun ordre,
It hath been heard by us, that men from us have gone forth and disturbed you with words, and have subverted your souls by saying, that you should be circumcised and observe the law, whom we have not commanded.
25 Il a plu à nous tous de choisir des personnes et de les envoyer vers vous avec nos très chers Barnabé et Paul,
On account of this we have deliberated, all being assembled, and have chosen men and sent them to you, with Paulos and Bar Naba, our beloved;
26 Hommes qui ont exposé leur vie pour le nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.
men who have delivered their lives for the sake of the name of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
27 Nous avons donc envoyé Jude et Silas, qui vous rapporteront les mêmes choses de vive voix.
And we have sent with them Jihuda and Shilo, that by word they may tell you the same things.
28 Car il a semblé bon à l’Esprit-Saint et à nous, de ne vous imposer aucun autre fardeau que ces choses-ci, qui sont nécessaires:
For it hath been the will of the Spirit of Holiness, and also of us, not to lay upon you greater burden beyond these things which are constraining;
29 Que vous vous absteniez de ce qui a été sacrifié aux idoles, du sang, des animaux étouffés, et de la fornication; en vous en abstenant, vous agirez bien. Adieu.
that you abstain from that which hath been sacrificed (to idols), and from blood, and from that which is strangled, and from fornication; and while you keep yourselves from these, you will be well. Be confirmed in our Lord.
30 Ces envoyés donc se rendirent à Antioche, et, les fidèles rassemblés, ils remirent la lettre.
Now they who were sent came to Antiokia, and they assembled all the people and gave the epistle.
31 Quand ils l’eurent lue, ils éprouvèrent beaucoup de joie et de consolation.
And when they had read, they rejoiced and were comforted.
32 Et comme Jude et Silas étaient eux-mêmes prophètes, ils consolèrent les frères et les fortifièrent par de nombreux discours.
And by the word the brethren were the more strengthened, and Jihuda and Shilo established them because they were prophets also.
33 Et, après avoir passé là quelque temps, ils furent renvoyés en paix par les frères à ceux qui les avaient envoyés.
And when they had been there a time, the brethren dismissed them with peace unto the apostles.
34 Cependant il parut bon à Silas de rester là, et Jude seul retourna à Jérusalem.
35 Or Paul et Barnabé demeurèrent aussi à Antioche, enseignant et annonçant avec plusieurs autres la parole de Dieu.
BUT Paulos and Bar Naba remained in Antiokia, and taught and preached, with many others, the word of Aloha.
36 Mais quelques jours après Paul dit à Barnabé: Retournons visiter nos frères dans toutes les villes où nous avons prêché la parole du Seigneur, pour voir comment ils sont.
And after (certain) days Paulos said to Bar Naba, Let us return and visit the brethren in every city in which we have preached the word of Aloha, and see what they do.
37 Or Barnabé voulait prendre avec lui Jean, qui est surnommé Marc.
But Bar Naba willed to take Juhanon, he who is surnamed Markos.
38 Mais Paul lui représentait que celui qui les avait quittés en Pamphylie et n’était point allé avec eux pour cette œuvre, ne devait pas être repris.
But Paulos willed not to take him with them, because he had forsaken them when they were in Pamphylia, and had not come with them.
39 De là il y eut division entre eux, de sorte qu’ils se séparèrent l’un de l’autre. Barnabé ayant donc pris Marc, s’embarqua pour Chypre.
On account of this contention they separated one from the other; and Bar Naba took Markos, and they went by sea and came to Cypros.
40 Et Paul ayant choisi Silas, partit, commis à la grâce de Dieu par les frères.
But Paulos chose for him Shilo, and went forth commended by the brethren to the grace of Aloha.
41 Or il parcourait la Syrie et la Cilicie, confirmant les Eglises, et leur ordonnant de garder les préceptes des apôtres et des prêtres.
And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches. And he came to Derbe the city, and to Lystra.
