2 Samuel 7
1 Or il arriva que lorsque le roi se fut établi en sa maison, et que le Seigneur lui eut donné le repos de toutes parts du côté de tous ses ennemis,
Forsothe it was doon, whanne the kyng Dauid hadde sete in his hows, and the Lord hadde youe reste to hym on ech side fro alle hise enemyes,
2 Il dit à Nathan le prophète: Vois-tu que j’habite dans une maison de cèdre, et que l’arche de Dieu est placée au milieu des peaux?
he seyde to Nathan the prophete, Seest thou not, that Y dwelle in an hows of cedre, and the arke of God is put in the myddis of skynnys?
3 Et Nathan répondit au roi: Tout ce qui est en votre cœur, allez, faites-le, parce que le Seigneur est avec vous.
And Nathan seide to the kyng, Go thou, and do al thing which is in thin herte, for the Lord is with thee.
4 Or il arriva pendant cette nuit-là, que voilà que la parole du Seigneur vint à Nathan, disant:
Forsothe it was don in that niyt, and lo! the word of the Lord, seiynge to Nathan, Go thou,
5 Va, et dis à mon serviteur David: Voici ce que dit le Seigneur: Est-ce que tu ne me bâtiras point une maison pour l’habiter?
and speke to my servaunt Dauid, The Lord seith these thingis, Whether thou schalt bilde to me an hows to dwelle ynne?
6 Car je n’ai pas habité dans une maison, depuis le jour que j’ai retiré les enfants d’Israël de la terre d’Egypte, jusqu’à ce jour-ci; mais je marchais dans un tabernacle, dans une tente.
For Y `dwellide not in an hows fro the dai in which Y ledde the sones of Israel out of the lond of Egipt til in to this dai; but Y yede in tabernacle and in tent,
7 Dans tous les lieux par où j’ai passé avec tous les enfants d’Israël, est-ce que j’ai jamais dit à une des tribus d’Israël, à laquelle j’ai ordonné de conduire mon peuple Israël, disant: Pourquoi ne m’avez-vous pas bâti une maison de cèdre?
bi alle places, to whiche Y passyde with alle the sones of Israel? Whether Y spekynge spak to oon of the lynagis of Israel, to whom Y comaundyde, that he schulde feede my puple Israel, and seide, Whi `bildidist thou not an hows of cedre to me?
8 Et maintenant tu diras ceci à mon serviteur David: Voici ce que dit le Seigneur des armées: C’est moi qui t’ai tiré des pâturages, lorsque tu suivais les troupeaux, afin que tu fusses chef sur mon peuple Israël;
And now thou schalt seie these thingis to my seruaunt Dauid, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Y took thee fro lesewis suynge flockis, that thou schuldist be duyk on my puple Israel, and Y was with thee in alle thingis,
9 Et j’ai été avec toi dans tous les lieux où tu as marché, et j’ai tué tous tes ennemis devant toi, et j’ai rendu ton nom grand, comme le nom des grands qui sont sur la terre.
where euere thou yedist, and Y killide alle thin enemyes fro thi face, and Y made to thee a greet name bi the name of grete men that ben in erthe;
10 Et je fixerai un lieu à mon peuple Israël, et je le planterai, et il y habitera, et il ne sera plus troublé; et des fils d’iniquité ne recommenceront pas à l’affliger, comme auparavant,
and Y schall sette a place to my puple Israel, and Y schal plaunte hym, and Y schal dwelle with hym, and he schal no more be troblid, and the sones of wickidnesse schulen not adde, that thei turmente hym as bifor,
11 Depuis le jour que j’ai établi des juges sur mon peuple Israël; et je te donnerai le repos du côté de tous tes ennemis; et le Seigneur t’annonce qu’il te fera une maison.
fro the dai in which Y ordenede iugis on my puple Israel; and Y schal yyue reste to thee fro alle thin enemyes. And the Lord biforseith to thee, that `the Lord schal mak an hows to thee;
12 Et lorsque tes jours seront accomplis, et que tu dormiras avec tes pères, je te susciterai un fils après toi, lequel sortira de tes entrailles, et j’affermirai son règne.
and whanne thi daies be fillid, and thou hast slept with thi fadris, Y schal reyse thi seed aftir thee, which schal go out of thi wombe, and Y schal make `stidfast his rewme.
13 C’est lui qui bâtira une maison à mon nom, et j’établirai fermement le trône de son royaume pour toujours.
He schal bilde an hows to my name, and Y schal make stable the troone of his rewme til in to with outen ende;
14 Moi je serai son père, et lui sera mon fils; et s’il fait quelque chose iniquement, je le châtierai avec une verge d’homme, et avec des plaies des enfants des hommes.
Y schal be to hym in to fadir, and he schal be to me in to a sone; and if he schal do ony thing wickidli, Y schal chastise hym in the yerde of men, and in the woundis of the sones of men.
15 Mais ma miséricorde, je ne la retirerai pas de lui, comme je l’ai retirée de Saül, que j’ai écarté de ma face.
Forsothe Y schal not do awey my mercy fro hym, as Y dide awei fro Saul, whom Y remouede fro my face.
16 Et ta maison sera fidèle, et ton royaume éternellement devant ta face, et ton trône sera ferme à jamais.
And thin hows schal be feithful, and thi rewme schal be til in to with outen ende bifor my face, and thi trone schal be stidfast contynueli.
17 C’est selon toutes ces paroles, et suivant toute cette vision, que Nathan parla à David.
By alle these wordys, and bi al this reuelacioun, so Nathan spak to Dauid.
18 Or, le roi David entra, et il s’assit devant le Seigneur et dit: Que suis-je moi, Seigneur Dieu, et quelle est ma maison, pour que vous m’ayez conduit jusque-là?
Forsothe Dauid the kyng entride, and satt bifor the Lord, and seide, Who am Y, my Lord God, and what is myn hows, that thou brouytist me hidur to?
19 Mais cela même a paru peu, en votre présence, Seigneur Dieu, si vous ne parliez aussi de la maison de votre serviteur pour un long avenir; car c’est la loi d’Adam, Seigneur Dieu.
But also this is seyn litil in thi siyt, my Lord God; no but thou schuldist speke also of the hows of thi seruaunt in to long tyme. Forsothe this is the lawe of Adam, Lord God;
20 Que pourra donc encore ajouter David, pour vous parler? car vous, Seigneur Dieu, vous connaissez votre serviteur.
what therfor may Dauid adde yit, that he speke to thee? For thou, Lord God, knowist thi seruaunt; thou hast do alle these grete thingis,
21 À cause de votre parole et selon votre cœur vous avez fait toutes ces grandes œuvres, afin d’en donner connaissance à votre serviteur.
for thi word, and bi thin herte, so that thou madist knowun to thi seruaunt.
22 C’est pour cela que vous avez été exalté, Seigneur Dieu; car nul n’est semblable à vous, et il n’y a point de Dieu hors vous, selon tout ce que nous avons entendu de nos oreilles.
Herfor, Lord God, thou art magnyfied, for noon is lijk thee, ne there is no God outakun thee, in alle thingis whiche we herden with oure eeris.
23 Mais quelle est la nation sur la terre comme votre peuple d’Israël, à cause de laquelle Dieu est allé pour la racheter comme son peuple, pour se faire un nom, et pour opérer au milieu d’eux des œuvres grandes et terribles sur la terre, à la face de votre peuple, que vous vous êtes racheté de l’Egypte, frappant une nation et son dieu.
Sotheli what folk in erthe is as the puple of Israel, for which the Lord God yede, that he schulde ayenbie it to him in to a puple, and schulde sette to hym silf a name, and schulde do to it grete thingis, and orible on erthe, in castinge out therof the folk and `goddis therof fro the face of thi puple, which thou `ayen bouytist to thee fro Egipt?
24 Car vous vous êtes assuré de votre peuple Israël comme d’un peuple perpétuel; et vous. Seigneur Dieu, vous êtes devenu leur Dieu.
And thou confermidist to thee thi puple Israel in to a puple euerlastynge, and thou, Lord, art maad in to God to hem.
25 Maintenant donc. Seigneur Dieu, suscitez pour toujours la parole que vous avez dite sur votre serviteur et sur sa maison, et faites comme vous avez parlé,
Now therfor, Lord God, reise thou withouten ende the word that thou hast spoke on thi seruaunt and on his hows, and do as thou hast spoke;
26 Afin que votre nom soit exalté à jamais, et que l’on dise: Le Seigneur Dieu des armées est Dieu sur Israël. Et la maison de votre serviteur David sera fermement établie devant le Seigneur,
and thy name be magnyfied til in to withouten ende, and be it seid, The Lord of oostis is God on Israel; and the hows of thi seruaunt Dauid schal be stablischid byfor the Lord;
27 Parce que c’est vous, Seigneur des armées, Dieu d’Israël, qui avez ouvert l’oreille de votre serviteur, disant: Je te bâtirai une maison; à cause de cela votre serviteur a trouvé son cœur pour vous adresser cette prière.
for thou, Lord of oostis, God of Israel, hast maad reuelacioun to the eere of thi seruaunt, and seidist, Y schal bilde an hows to thee; therfor thi seruaunt foond his herte, that he schulde preie thee bi this preier.
28 Maintenant donc, Seigneur Dieu, vous êtes Dieu, et vos paroles seront véritables; car vous avez dit à votre serviteur ces bonnes choses.
Now therfor, Lord God, thou art veri God, and thi wordis schulen be trewe; for thou hast spoke these goodis to thi seruaunt;
29 Commencez-donc, et bénissez la maison de votre serviteur, afin qu’elle soit à jamais devant vous, parce que c’est vous. Seigneur Dieu, qui avez parlé, et c’est de votre bénédiction que sera bénie la maison de votre serviteur à jamais.
therfor bigynne thou, and blesse the hows of thi seruaunt, that it be withouten ende bifor thee; for thou, Lord God, hast spoke these thingis, and bi thi blessyng the hows of thi seruaunt schal be blessid withouten ende.
