1 Rois 11

1 Or le roi Salomon aima beaucoup de femmes étrangères, la fille de Pharaon aussi, et des Moabites, des Ammonites, des Iduméennes, des Sidoniennes et des Héthéennes,

And the king Solomon he loved women foreign many and [the] daughter of Pharaoh Moabite [women] Ammonite [women] Edomite [women] Sidonian [women] Hittite [women].

2 De nations dont le Seigneur avait dit aux enfants d’Israël: Vous ne vous approcherez point d’elles, et les hommes d’entre elles ne s’approcheront point de vos filles; car très certainement elles pervertiront vos cœurs, pour que vous suiviez leurs dieux. C’est pourquoi Salomon s’attacha à ces femmes par un très ardent amour.

From the nations which he had said Yahweh to [the] people of Israel not you must go among them and they not they will go among you truly they will turn aside heart your after gods their to them he cleaved Solomon to love [them].

3 Et il eut sept cents femmes qui étaient comme reines, et trois cents du second rang; et ses femmes pervertirent son cœur.

And it belonged to him wives noble ladies seven hundred and concubines three hundred and they turned aside wives his heart his.

4 Et lorsqu’il était déjà vieux, son cœur fut dépravé par les femmes, en sorte qu’il suivait des dieux étrangers; et son cœur ne fut point parfait devant le Seigneur son Dieu, comme le cœur de David son père.

And it was to [the] time of [the] old age of Solomon wives his they turned aside heart his after gods other and not it was heart his complete with Yahweh God his like [the] heart of David father his.

5 Mais Salomon servait Astarthé, déesse des Sidoniens, et Moloch, idole des Ammonites.

And he walked Solomon after Astarte [the] god of [the] Sidonians and after Milcom [the] detestable thing of [the] Ammonites.

6 Ainsi Salomon fit ce qui ne plaisait pas au Seigneur, et il n’acheva pas de suivre le Seigneur, comme David son père.

And he did Solomon the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and not he filled after Yahweh like David father his.

7 C’est alors que Salomon bâtit un temple à Chamos, idole des Moabites, sur la montagne qui est contre Jérusalem, et à Moloch, idole des enfants d’Ammon.

Then he built Solomon a high place for Chemosh [the] detestable thing of Moab on the mountain which [is] on [the] face of Jerusalem and for Molech [the] detestable thing of [the] people of Ammon.

8 Et c’est de cette manière qu’il fit pour toutes ses femmes étrangères, qui brûlaient de l’encens et sacrifiaient à leurs dieux.

And thus he did for all wives his foreign [who] made smoke and [who] sacrificed to gods their.

9 Aussi le Seigneur fut-il irrité contre Salomon, de ce que son esprit s’était détourné du Seigneur Dieu d’Israël, qui lui avait apparu une seconde fois,

And he was angry Yahweh with Solomon for it had turned aside heart his from with Yahweh [the] God of Israel who had appeared to him two times.

10 Et qui lui avait ordonné à ce sujet de ne point suivre des dieux étrangers: et il ne garda pas ce que lui commanda le Seigneur.

And he had commanded to him on the matter this to not to walk after gods other and not he observed [that] which he had commanded Yahweh.

11 C’est pourquoi le Seigneur dit à Salomon; Puisque tu as ce péché en toi, et que tu n’as point gardé mon alliance et mes préceptes que je t’ai prescrits, je déchirerai et diviserai ton royaume, et je le donnerai à ton serviteur.

And he said Yahweh to Solomon because that it has been this with you and not you have observed covenant my and statutes my which I commanded to you certainly I will tear away the kingdom from with you and I will give it to servant your.

12 Cependant, je ne le ferai pas durant tes jours, à cause de David, ton père; mais c’est venant de la main de ton fils que je le diviserai;

Only in days your not I will do it for [the] sake of David father your from [the] hand of son your I will tear away it.

13 Et je n’ôterai pas tout le royaume: mais je donnerai une tribu à ton fils, à cause de David, mon serviteur, et de Jérusalem, que j’ai choisie.

Only all the kingdom not I will tear away a tribe one I will give to son your for [the] sake of David servant my and for [the] sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.

14 Or le Seigneur suscita pour ennemi à Salomon, Adad, l’Iduméen de la race royale, qui était dans Edom.

And he raised up Yahweh an adversary to Solomon Hadad the Edomite [was] one of [the] offspring the king he in Edom.

15 Car lorsque David était dans l’Idumée, et que Joab, prince de la milice, eut monté pour ensevelir ceux qui avaient été tués, et qu’il eut tué tout mâle dans l’Idumée

And it was when was David Edom when went up Joab [the] commander of the army to bury the [ones] slain and he struck down every male in Edom.

16 (Car Joab y demeura six mois et toute l’armée d’Israël, pendant qu’il tuait tout mâle dans l’Idumée),

For six months he remained there Joab and all Israel until he had cut off every male in Edom.

17 Adad s’enfuit, lui et des Iduméens, serviteurs de son père, avec lui, pour entrer en Egypte; or Adad était alors un petit enfant.

And he fled Hadad he and people Edomite some of [the] servants of father his with him to go Egypt and Hadad [was] a youth young.

18 Et lorsqu’ils furent sortis de Madian, ils vinrent à Pharan; puis ils prirent avec eux des hommes de Pharan, et ils entrèrent en Egypte, auprès de Pharaon, roi d’Egypte, qui donna à Adad une maison, lui assigna des vivres, et lui attribua une terre.

And they arose from Midian and they went Paran and they took men with them from Paran and they went Egypt to Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and he gave to him a house and food he assigned to him and land he gave to him.

19 Et Adad trouva tout à fait grâce devant Pharaon, tellement qu’il lui donna pour femme la sœur germaine de sa propre femme, de Taphnès, la reine.

And he found Hadad favor in [the] eyes of Pharaoh exceedingly and he gave to him a wife [the] sister of own wife his [the] sister of Tahpenes the queen.

20 Et cette sœur de la reine lui enfanta un fils, Génubath, et Taphné le nourrit dans la maison de Pharaon; ainsi Génubath habitait auprès de Pharaon avec ses enfants.

And she bore to him [the] sister of Tahpenes Genubath son his and she weaned him Tahpenes in [the] midst of [the] household of Pharaoh and he was Genubath [the] house of Pharaoh in among [the] sons of Pharaoh.

21 Lorsqu’Adad eut appris, en Egypte, que David s’était endormi avec ses pères, et que Joab, prince de la milice, était mort, il dit à Pharaon: Laissez-moi aller, afin que je retourne en mon pays.

And Hadad he heard in Egypt that he had lain down David with ancestors his and that he had died Joab [the] commander of the army and he said Hadad to Pharaoh let go me so I may go to own land my.

22 Et Pharaon lui dit: Mais de quoi manques-tu chez moi, pour que tu cherches à aller en ton pays? Et Adad lui répondit: De rien; mais je vous conjure de me laisser aller.

And he said to him Pharaoh that what? [are] you lacking with me and here you [are] seeking to go to own land your and he said - In-deed really you will let go me.

23 Dieu suscita aussi pour ennemi à Salomon, Razon, fils d’Eliada, qui s’était enfui d’auprès d’Adarézer, roi de Soba, son seigneur,

And he raised up God to him an adversary Rezon [the] son of Eliada who he had fled from with Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah master his.

24 Qui assembla des hommes contre David, et devint chef de voleurs, lorsque David les tuait; et ils allèrent à Damas, ils y habitèrent, et l’établirent roi à Damas.

And he gathered with him men and he was [the] leader of a marauding band when killed David them and they went Damascus and they dwelt in it and they reigned in Damascus.

25 Et il fut ennemi d’Israël durant tous les jours de Salomon. Voilà le mal que fit Adad, et sa haine contre Israël; ainsi, il régna en Syrie.

And he was an adversary of Israel all [the] days of Solomon and harm which Hadad and he loathed Israel and he reigned over Aram.

26 Jéroboam aussi, fils de Nabath, Ephrathéen, de Saréda, serviteur de Salomon, dont la mère, femme veuve, avait pour nom Sarva, leva la main contre le roi.

And Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat an Ephrathite from Zeredah and [the] name of mother his [was] Zeruah a woman a widow a servant of Solomon and he raised a hand on the king.

27 Et la cause de sa révolte est que Salomon avait bâti Mello, et comblé l’abîme de la cité de David son père.

And this [is] the reason why he raised a hand on the king Solomon he built the Millo he closed up [the] breach of [the] city of David father his.

28 Or Jéroboam était un homme fort et puissant; et Salomon, voyant ce jeune homme d’un bon naturel et laborieux, l’établit intendant des tributs de toute la maison de Joseph.

And the man Jeroboam [was] a mighty [man] of strength and he saw Solomon the young man that [was] doing work he and he appointed him to all [the] forced labor of [the] house of Joseph.

29 Il arriva donc en ce temps-là que Jéroboam sortit de Jérusalem, et qu’Aias, le Silonite, le prophète, couvert d’un manteau neuf, le rencontra dans le chemin; or eux deux seulement étaient dans la campagne.

And it was at the time that and Jeroboam he had gone out from Jerusalem and he found him Ahijah Shilonite the prophet on the way and he [was] covering himself with a cloak new and [the] two of them to alone them [were] in the open country.

30 Et Ahias, prenant son manteau neuf dont il était couvert, le coupa en douze parts,

And he seized Ahijah the cloak new which [was] on him and he tore it two [plus] ten pieces.

31 Et dit à Jéroboam: Prenez, pour vous ces dix lambeaux; car le Seigneur Dieu d’Israël dit ceci: Voilà que moi je diviserai le royaume venant de la main de Salomon, et que je te donnerai dix tribus.

And he said to Jeroboam take for yourself ten pieces for thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to tear the kingdom from [the] hand of Solomon and I will give to you ten the tribes.

32 Mais une tribu lui restera, à cause de mon serviteur David, et de la ville de Jérusalem, que j’ai choisie d’entre toutes les tribus d’Israël;

And the tribe one it will belong to him for [the] sake of - servant my David and for [the] sake of Jerusalem the city which I have chosen it from all [the] tribes of Israel.

33 Parce que Salomon m’a abandonné, et qu’il a adoré Astarthé, déesse des Sidoniens, Chamos, dieu de Moab, et Moloch, dieu des enfants d’Ammon; et qu’il n’a point marché dans mes voies, pour pratiquer la justice devant moi, mes préceptes et mes ordonnances, comme David, son père.

Because - that they have forsaken me and they have bowed down to Astarte [the] god of [the] Sidonians to Chemosh [the] god of Moab and to Milcom [the] god of [the] people of Ammon and not they have walked in ways my by doing the right in view my and statutes my and judgments my like David father his.

34 Je n’ôterai pas tout le royaume de sa main; mais je l’en laisserai chef durant tous les jours de sa vie, à cause de David, mon serviteur, que j’ai choisi, qui a gardé mes commandements et mes préceptes.

And not I will take all the kingdom from hand his for - ruler I will make him all [the] days of life his for [the] sake of David servant my whom I chose him who he observed commandments my and statutes my.

35 Mais j’ôterai le royaume de la main de son fils, et je te donnerai dix tribus;

And I will take the kingship from [the] hand of son his and I will give it to you [the] ten the tribes.

36 Et quant à son fils, je lui donnerai une tribu, afin qu’il demeure une lampe à David, mon serviteur, tous les jours, devant moi dans la ville de Jérusalem, que j’ai choisie, afin que mon nom soit là.

And to son his I will give a tribe one so as to belong a lamp to David servant my all the days - before me in Jerusalem the city which I have chosen for myself to put name my there.

37 Mais, toi, je le prendrai, et tu régneras sur tout ce que désire ton âme, et tu seras roi sur Israël.

And you I will take and you will reign over all that it will desire self your and you will be king over Israel.

38 Si donc tu écoutes tout ce que je t’ordonne, et si tu marches dans mes voies, et que tu fasses ce qui est droit devant moi, gardant mes commandements et mes préceptes, comme a fait David, mon serviteur, je serai avec toi, et je te bâtirai une maison fidèle, comme j’ai bâti à David une maison, et je te livrerai Israël;

And it will be if you will listen to all that I will command you and you will walk in ways my and you will do the right in view my by observing statutes my and commandments my just as he did David servant my and I will be with you and I will build for you a house enduring just as I built for David and I will give to you Israel.

39 Et j’affligerai en cela la race de David, mais non pour toujours.

So I may afflicted [the] offspring of David on account of this nevertheless not all the days.

40 Salomon voulut donc tuer Jéroboam, qui s’enfuit en Egypte vers Sésac, roi d’Egypte, et fut en Egypte jusqu’à la mort de Salomon.

And he sought Solomon to put to death Jeroboam and he arose Jeroboam and he fled Egypt to Shishak [the] king of Egypt and he was in Egypt until [the] death of Solomon.

41 Quant au reste des actions de Salomon, à tout ce qu’il a fait, et à sa sagesse, voilà que tout est écrit dans le Livre des actions des jours de Salomon.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Solomon and all that he did and wisdom his ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of Solomon.

42 Or les jours durant lesquels Salomon régna dans Jérusalem sur tout Israël, furent de quarante ans.

And the days which he reigned Solomon in Jerusalem over all Israel [were] forty year[s].

43 Et Salomon dormit avec ses pères, et il fut enseveli dans la cité de David son père, et Roboam son fils régna en sa place.

And he lay down Solomon with ancestors his and he was buried in [the] city of David father his and he became king Rehoboam son his in place of him.
