1 Corinthiens 16
1 Quant aux aumônes que l’on recueille pour les saints, faites, vous aussi, comme je l’ai réglé pour les Eglises de Galatie.
Now about the collection for the saints, you are to do as I directed the churches of Galatia:
2 Qu’au premier jour de la semaine, chacun de vous mette à part chez lui, et serre ce qui lui plaira; afin que ce ne soit pas quand je viendrai que les collectes se fassent.
On the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a portion of his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will be needed.
3 Lorsque je serai présent, j’enverrai ceux que vous aurez désignés par vos lettres, porter vos charités à Jérusalem.
Then, on my arrival, I will send letters with those you recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
4 Que si la chose mérite que j’y aille moi-même, ils viendront avec moi.
And if it is advisable for me to go also, they can travel with me.
5 Or je viendrai vers vous lorsque j’aurai traversé la Macédoine; car je passerai par la Macédoine.
After I go through Macedonia, however, I will come to you; for I will be going through Macedonia.
6 Peut-être m’arrêterai-je chez vous, et y passerai-je même l’hiver, afin que vous me conduisiez partout où j’irai,
Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go.
7 Car ce n’est pas seulement en passant que je veux vous voir cette fois, j’espère demeurer quelque temps avec vous, si le Seigneur le permet.
For I do not want to see you now only in passing; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.
8 Je demeurerai à Ephèse jusqu’à la Pentecôte;
But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,
9 Parce qu’il y a une grande porte qui m’est visiblement ouverte, et un grand nombre d’adversaires.
because a great door for effective work has opened to me, even though many oppose me.
10 Si Timothée va chez vous, veillez à ce qu’il y soit sans crainte; car il travaille comme moi à l’œuvre du Seigneur.
If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, just as I am.
11 Que personne donc ne le méprise; mais conduisez-le en paix pour qu’il vienne vers moi; car je l’attends avec nos frères.
No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he can return to me, for I am expecting him along with the brothers.
12 Pour ce qui est d’Apollo, notre frère, je vous préviens que je l’ai beaucoup prié d’aller vers vous avec nos frères; mais il n’a pas voulu y aller maintenant: il ira lorsqu’il en aura le loisir.
Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was not at all inclined to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.
13 Veillez, demeurez fermes dans la foi, agissez courageusement, et fortifiez-vous;
Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong.
14 Que toutes vos œuvres se fassent en esprit de charité.
Do everything in love.
15 Je vous conjure, mes frères, puisque vous savez que Stéphanas, Fortunat et Achaïque, dont vous connaissez la famille, sont les prémices de l’Achaïe, et se sont consacrés au service des saints,
You know that Stephanas and his household were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Now I urge you, brothers,
16 D’avoir de la déférence pour de telles personnes, comme pour tous ceux qui coopèrent et travaillent.
to submit to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer.
17 Je me réjouis de la présence de Stéphanas, de Fortunat et d’Achaïque; parce qu’il ont suppléé à ce que vous ne pouviez faire par vous-mêmes;
I am glad that Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus have arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you.
18 Car ils ont consolé mon esprit aussi bien, que le vôtre. Sachez donc ce que sont de tels hommes.
For they refreshed my spirit and yours as well. Show your appreciation, therefore, to such men.
19 Les Eglises d’Asie vous saluent, Aquila et Priscille, chez qui je demeure, et l’Eglise qui est dans leur maison vous font beaucoup de salutations.
The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house.
20 Tous nos frères vous saluent. Saluez-vous les uns les autres par un saint baiser.
All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
21 La salutation est de la main de moi, Paul.
This greeting is in my own hand—Paul.
22 Si quelqu’un n’aime point Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, qu’il soit anathème, Maran Atha.
If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be under a curse. Come, O Lord!
23 Que la grâce de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ soit avec vous.
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
24 Mon amour est avec vous tous dans le Christ Jésus. Amen.
My love be with all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.
