1 Chroniques 9
1 Tout Israël fut donc dénombré, et leur nombre total écrit dans le Livre des rois d’Israël et de Juda; et ils furent transportés à Babylone à cause de leur péché.
So all Israel were recorded by their genealogies, and, behold, they are written in the book of the Kings of Israel; but [the men of] Judah were carried away into exile to Babylon for their unfaithfulness.
2 Or ceux qui habitèrent les premiers dans leurs possessions et dans leurs villes furent Israël, les prêtres, les Lévites et les Nathinéens.
And the first inhabitants that [dwelt again] in their possessions in their cities, were the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the temple-servants.
3 Il demeura à Jérusalem des enfants de Juda et des enfants de Benjamin, et même des enfants d’Ephraïm et de Manassé:
And in Jerusalem dwelt some of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Menasseh.
4 Othéi, fils d’Ammiud, fils d’Amri, fils d’Omraï, fils de Bonni, l’un des fils de Pharès, fils de Juda;
'Uthai the son of 'Ammihud, the son of 'Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.
5 Et de Siloni: Asaïa, le premier-né, et ses autres fils;
And of the Shilonites: 'Assayah the first-born, and his sons.
6 Mais des fils de Zara: Jéhuel et leurs frères, au nombre de six cent quatre-vingt-dix;
And of the sons of Zerach: Je'uel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
7 Et des fils de Benjamin: Salo, fils de Mosollam, fils d’Oduïa, fils d’Asana;
And of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodavyah, the son of Hassenuah,
8 Et Jobania, fils de Jéroham, et Ela, fils d’Ozi. fils de Mochori; et Mosollam, fils de Saphatias, fils de Rahuel, fils de Jébanias,
And Yibneyah the son of Jerocham, and Elah the son of 'Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatyah, the son of Re'uel, the son of Yibniyah;
9 Et leurs frères, selon leurs familles, au nombre de neuf cent cinquante-six. Tous ceux-là furent princes de familles, dans les maisons de leurs pères.
And their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were chiefs of the divisions of their family divisions.
10 Mais d’entre les prêtres, il y eut Jédaïa, Joïarib et Jachin;
And of the priests: Jeda'yah, and Jehoyarib, and Jachin.
11 Azarias aussi, fils d’Helcias, fils de Mosollam, fils de Sadoc, fils de Maraïoth, fils d’Achitob, pontife de la maison de Dieu.
And 'Azaryah the son of Chilkiyah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Merayoth, the son of Actitub, the ruler of the house of God.
12 De plus, Adaïas, fils de Jéroham, fils de Phassur, fils de Melchias; et Maasaï, fils d’Adiel, fils de Jezra, fils de Mosollam, fils de Mosollamith. fils d’Emmer;
And 'Adayah the son of Jerocham, the son of Pashchur, the son of Malkiyah, and Ma'sai the son of 'Adiel, the son of Jachzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer:
13 Ainsi que leurs frères, princes dans leurs familles, au nombre de mille sept cent soixante, d’une très grande force pour faire l’ouvrage du ministère dans la maison de Dieu.
And their brethren, chiefs of their family divisions, were one thousand and seven hundred and sixty, very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.
14 Et d’entre les Lévites, il y eut Séméia, fils d’Hassub, fils d’Ezricam, fils d’Hasébia, l’un des fils de Mérari;
And of the Levites: Shema'yah the son of Chasshub, the son of 'Azrikam, the son of Chashabyah, of the sons of Merari;
15 Bacbachar aussi, charpentier, Galal, et Mathania, fils de Micha, fils de Zéchri, fils d’Asaph;
And Bakbakkar, Cheresh, and Galal, and Matthanyah the son of Micha, the son of Zichri, the son of Assaph;
16 Et Obdia, fils de Séméias, fils de Galal, fils d’Idithun; et Barachia, fils d’Asa, fils d’Elcana, qui habita dans les villages de Nétophati.
And 'Obadiah the son of Shema'yah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechyah the son of Assa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 Quant aux portiers, c’étaient Sellum, Accub, Telmon et Ahimam; et leur frère Sellum était leur chef.
And the gatekeepers were Shallum, and 'Akkub, and Talmon, and Achiman, and their brethren, Shallum being the chief;
18 Jusqu’à ce temps-là, à la porte du roi, vers l’orient, des fils de Lévi faisaient la garde tour à tour.
And up to this time they are in the king's gate to the eastward: they are the gatekeepers for the camps of the children of Levi.
19 Or Sellum, fils de Coré, fils d’Abiasaph, fils de Coré, avec ses frères et la maison de son père, c’est-à-dire les Corites préposés aux ouvrages du ministère, étaient les gardiens des vestibules du tabernacle; et leurs familles gardaient tour à tour l’entrée du camp du Seigneur.
And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebyassaph, the son of Korach, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korchites, being over the work of the service, were the watchmen at the threshold of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the camp of the Lord, were the watchmen at the entrance [thereof].
20 Or Phinéès, fils d’Eléazar, était leur chef devant le Seigneur.
And Phinehas the son of El'azar was the ruler over them in times past; [and] the Lord was with him.
21 Et Zacharie, fils de Mosollamia, était portier à la porte du tabernacle de témoignage.
[And] Zechariah the son of Meshelemyah was gatekeeper at the entrance of the tabernacle of the congregation.
22 Tous ceux-là, choisis pour portiers aux différentes portes, étaient au nombre de deux cent douze, enregistrés dans leurs propres villages: David et Samuel, le Voyant, les établirent à cause de leur fidélité,
All of these selected to be gatekeepers at the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were recorded according to their genealogy in their villages; [and they were] those [whom] David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their trust.
23 Tant eux que leurs fils, pour veiller à leur tour aux portes de la maison du Seigneur et du tabernacle.
Both they and their children had the oversight over the gates of the house of the Lord, [namely, ] the house of the tabernacle, as watches.
24 Les portiers étaient vers les quatre vents, c’est-à-dire à l’orient, à l’occident, à l’aquilon et au midi.
On four quarters were the gatekeepers, toward the east, the west, the north, and the south.
25 Et leurs frères demeuraient dans leurs bourgades, et ils venaient en leurs sabbats depuis un temps jusqu’à un temps.
And their brethren, who were in their villages, had to come after every seven days from time to time in common with these.
26 C’est à ces quatre Lévites que fut confié le nombre entier des portiers; et ils veillaient sur les chambres et sur les trésors de la maison du Seigneur.
For in [their] trust were these four chief gatekeepers— these Levites, and they were [appointed] over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
27 Ils demeuraient même autour du temple du Seigneur, pendant leur garde, afin que, lorsque le temps était venu, ils ouvrissent eux-mêmes les portes le matin.
And they lodged round about the house of God; because upon them rested the duty of watching, and they had the supervision of the opening thereof each and every morning.
28 À leur classe appartenaient aussi ceux qui étaient chargés des vases servant au culte; car c’était en certain nombre qu’étaient apportés les vases et qu’ils étaient remportés.
And some of them had the charge of the vessels for the service; for by number did they bring them in, and by number did they carry them out.
29 Parmi eux encore se trouvaient ceux qui, ayant la garde des ustensiles du sanctuaire, prenaient soin de la fleur de farine, du vin, de l’huile, de l’encens et des aromates.
Some of them also were appointed over the vessels, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30 Mais les fils des prêtres composaient les parfums à oindre avec les aromates.
And some of the sons of the priests prepared the mixture of the spices.
31 Et Mathathias le Lévite, le premier-né de Sellum, le Corite, était préposé pour ce qu’on faisait frire dans la poêle.
And Matthithyah, one of the Levites, who was the first-born of Shallum the Korchite, had the trust over the meat-offerings that were baked in the pans.
32 Or c’est parmi les enfants de Caath, leurs frères, que se trouvaient ceux qui étaient chargés des pains de proposition, afin d’en préparer toujours de nouveaux à chaque sabbat.
And others of their brethren, of the sons of the Kehathites, were over the orders of the shew-bread, to prepare it every sabbath.
33 Ce sont là les chefs des chantres parmi les familles des Lévites, qui demeuraient dans les chambres du temple, afin que, jour et nuit, sans interruption, ils remplissent leur ministère.
But these the singers, the chiefs of the divisions of the Levites, remained in the chambers free of service; for day and night were they obliged to engage in that work.
34 Les chefs des Lévites, princes dans leurs familles, demeurèrent à Jérusalem.
These are the chiefs of the divisions of the Levites, being the chiefs for their generations: these dwelt at Jerusalem.
35 Mais c’est à Gabaon que s’établirent Jéhiel, dont le nom de la femme était Maacha;
And in Gib'on dwelt the father of Gib'on, Je'iel; and the name of his wife was Ma'achah;
36 Son fils premier-né, Abdon, elles autres, Sur, Cis, Baal, Ner et Nadab,
And his first-born son was 'Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Ba'al, and Ner, and Nadab,
37 Gédor, Ahio, Zacharie et Macelloth.
And Gedor, and Achyo, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
38 Or Macelloth engendra Samaan; ceux-là habitèrent vis-à-vis de leurs frères, à Jérusalem, avec leurs frères.
And Mikloth begat Shimam. And they also dwelt alongside of their brethren at Jerusalem, with their brethren.
39 Mais Ner engendra Cis, et Cis engendra Saül, et Saül engendra Jonathan, et Melchisua, et Abinadab, et Esbaal.
And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jehonathan, and Malki-shua', and Abinadab, and Eshba'al.
40 Et le fils de Jonathan fut Méribbaal; et Méribbaal engendra Micha.
And the son of Jehonathan was Merib-ba'al: and Merib-ba'al begat Michah.
41 Or les fils de Micha furent Phithon, Mélech, Tharaa et Ahaz.
And the sons of Michah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Thachrea'.
42 Et Ahaz engendra Jara, et Jara engendra Alamath, Azmoth et Zamri; mais Zamri engendra Mosa.
And Achaz begat Ja'rah; and Ja'rah begat 'Alemeth, 'Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;
43 Pour Mosa, il engendra Banaa, dont le fils Raphaïa engendra Elasa, de qui est né Asel.
And Moza begat Bin'a; ! and Rephayah his son, El'assah his son, Azel his son.
44 Or Asel eut six fils de ces noms: Ezricam, Bocru, Ismaël, Saria, Obdia, Hanan; ce sont là les fils d’Asel.
And Azel had six sons, and these are their names, 'Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and She'aryah, and 'Obadiah, and Chanan: these were the sons of Azel.
