1 Chroniques 26
1 Voici la distribution des portiers: d’entre les Corites, Mésélémia, fils de Coré, d’entre les fils d’Asaph.
These were the divisions of the gatekeepers: From the Korahites: Meshelemiah son of Kore, one of the sons of Asaph.
2 Les fils de Mésélémia furent Zacharie, le premier né, Jadihel, le second, Zabadias, le troisième, Jathanaël, le quatrième;
Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
3 Aelam, le cinquième, Johanan, le sixième, Elioénaï, le septième;
Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, and Eliehoenai the seventh.
4 Mais les fils d’Obédédom, Séméias, le premier-né, Jozabad, le second, Joaha, le troisième, Sachar, le quatrième, Nathanaël, le cinquième;
And Obed-edom also had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sachar the fourth, Nethanel the fifth,
5 Ammiel, le sixième, Issachar, le septième, et Phollathi, le huitième, parce que le Seigneur le bénit.
Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, and Peullethai the eighth. For God had blessed Obed-edom.
6 Or à Séméi, son fils, naquirent des fils, chefs de leurs familles; car ils étaient des hommes très forts.
Also to his son Shemaiah were born sons who ruled over their families because they were strong, capable men.
7 Les fils donc de Séméi furent Othni, Raphaël, Obed, Elzabad et ses frères, hommes très forts; Eliu aussi et Samachias.
Shemaiah’s sons were Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad; his brothers were Elihu and Semachiah, also capable men.
8 Tous ceux-là étaient d’entre les fils d’Obédédom: eux, leurs fils et leurs frères, très forts pour remplir leur ministère, étaient soixante-deux de la maison d’Obédédom.
All these were descendants of Obed-edom; they and their sons and brothers were capable men with strength to do the work—62 in all from Obed-edom.
9 Or les fils de Mésélémia et leurs frères, très robustes, étaient dix-huit.
Meshelemiah also had sons and brothers who were capable men—18 in all.
10 Mais d’Hosa, c’est-à-dire d’entre les fils de Mérari, est venu Semri, le prince (car, comme il n’avait pas de premier-né, son père l’avait établi prince).
Hosah the Merarite also had sons: Shimri the first (although he was not the firstborn, his father had appointed him as the first),
11 Helcias était le second; Tabélias, le troisième; Zacharie, le quatrième. Tous ces fils et les frères d’Hosa étaient treize.
Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth. The sons and brothers of Hosah numbered 13 in all.
12 Ceux-là furent distribués comme portiers, de telle sorte que les chefs des gardes, ainsi que leurs frères, servaient toujours dans la maison du Seigneur.
These divisions of the gatekeepers, through their chief men, had duties for ministering in the house of the LORD, just as their brothers did.
13 Les sorts furent donc jetés sans distinction, et par les petits et par les grands, selon leurs familles, pour chacune des portes.
They cast lots for each gate, according to their families, young and old alike.
14 Ainsi la porte orientale échut à Sémélias. Mais à Zacharie son fils, qui était un homme très sage et habile, advint par le sort le côté septentrional;
The lot for the East Gate fell to Shelemiah. Then lots were cast for his son Zechariah, a wise counselor, and the lot for the North Gate fell to him.
15 Tandis qu’à Obédédom et à ses fils, ce fut le côté du midi, dans laquelle partie de la maison était le conseil des anciens;
The lot for the South Gate fell to Obed-edom, and the lot for the storehouses to his sons.
16 À Séphim et à Hosa, le côté de l’occident, près de la porte qui conduit à la voie de la montée: garde contre garde.
The lots for the West Gate and the Shallecheth Gate on the ascending highway fell to Shuppim and Hosah. There were guards stationed at every watch.
17 Mais à l’orient étaient six Lévites, et vers l’aquilon, quatre par jour; vers le midi, également quatre par jour; et là où se tenait le conseil, ils servaient deux à deux.
Each day there were six Levites on the east, four on the north, four on the south, and two pairs at the storehouse.
18 De plus, dans les petites chambres des portiers à l’occident, il y en avait quatre sur la voie; deux par chaque chambre.
As for the court on the west, there were four at the highway and two at the court.
19 Telle était la distribution des portiers, fils de Coré et de Mérari.
These were the divisions of the gatekeepers who were descendants of Korah and Merari.
20 Or Achias était préposé sur les trésors de la maison de Dieu, et les vases sacrés.
Now their fellow Levites were in charge of the treasuries of the house of God and the treasuries of the dedicated things.
21 Les fils de Lédan sont les fils du Gersonnien. De Lédan viennent les princes de familles, Lédan, et le Gersonnien, Jéhiéli.
From the descendants of Ladan, who were Gershonites through Ladan and heads of the families of Ladan the Gershonite, were Jehieli,
22 Les fils de Jéhiéli et Zathan et Joël, ses frères, étaient préposés sur les trésors de la maison du Seigneur,
the sons of Jehieli, Zetham, and his brother Joel. They were in charge of the treasuries of the house of the LORD.
23 Avec les Amramites, les Isaarites, les Hébronites et les Oziélites.
From the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites:
24 Or Subaël, fils de Gersom, fils de Moïse, était préposé aux trésors;
Shebuel, a descendant of Gershom son of Moses, was the officer in charge of the treasuries.
25 De même que ses frères Eliézer, dont le fils, Rahabia, dont le fils, Isaïe, dont le fils, Joram, dont le fils, Zechri, dont le fils, Sélémith.
His relatives through Eliezer included Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
26 Sélémith lui-même et ses frères étaient préposés sur les trésors des choses saintes que le roi David consacra, ainsi que les princes des familles, les tribuns, les centurions et les chefs de l’armée,
This Shelomith and his brothers were in charge of all the treasuries for the things dedicated by King David, by the heads of families who were the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and by the army commanders.
27 Comme provenant des guerres et du butin des combats, et qu’ils avaient consacrés pour la restauration et les meubles du temple du Seigneur.
They had dedicated some of the plunder from their battles to the repair of the house of the LORD.
28 Samuel, le Voyant, consacra aussi toutes ces choses, de même que Saül, fils de Cis, Abner, fils de Ner, et Joab, fils de Sarvia: tous ceux qui les consacrèrent le firent par l’entremise de Sélémith et de ses frères.
Everything that had been dedicated by Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah, along with everything else that was dedicated, was under the care of Shelomith and his brothers.
29 Quant aux Isaarites, Chonénias était à leur tête, ainsi que ses fils, pour les choses de dehors touchant Israël, pour les instruire et les juger.
From the Izrahites, Chenaniah and his sons had the outside duties as officers and judges over Israel.
30 Mais d’entre les Hébronites, Hasabias et ses frères, hommes très forts, au nombre de mille sept cents, étaient à la tête des Israélites au-delà du Jourdain, contre l’occident, pour toutes les œuvres qui avaient rapport au Seigneur, et pour le service du roi.
From the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his relatives, 1,700 capable men, had charge of the affairs of Israel west of the Jordan for all the work of the LORD and for the service of the king.
31 Or le prince des Hébronites, selon leurs familles et leur parenté, fut Jéria. En la quarantième année du règne de David, ils furent recensés, et ils se trouvèrent à Jazer-Galaad, eux, hommes très forts,
As for the Hebronites, Jerijah was the chief of the Hebronites, according to the genealogies of his ancestors. In the fortieth year of David’s reign the records were searched, and strong, capable men were found among the Hebronites at Jazer in Gilead.
32 Et ses frères, qui étaient dans la force de l’âge, au nombre de deux mille sept cents princes de familles. Or David, le roi, les préposa aux Rubénites, aux Gadites et à la demi-tribu de Manassé pour tout le service de Dieu et du roi.
Among Jerijah’s relatives there were 2,700 capable men who were heads of families. King David appointed them over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh for every matter pertaining to God and to the affairs of the king.
