1 Chroniques 2
1 Or les fils d’Israël sont: Ruben, Siméon, Lévi, Juda, Issachar et Zabulon,
These, are the sons of Israel, —Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun;
2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad et Aser.
Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher,
3 Les fils de Juda: Her, Onan et Séla; ces trois lui naquirent de la fille de Sué, Ghananéenne. Mais Her, le premier-né de Juda, fut méchant devant le Seigneur, qui le frappa de mort.
the sons of Judah, Er, and Onan, and Shelah, the three born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess, —but Er the firstborn of Judah became wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, and he slew him.
4 Or Thamar, belle-fille de Juda, lui enfanta Pharès et Zara. Tous les fils de Juda furent au nombre de cinq.
And, Tamar his daughter-in-law, bare him, Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah, were five.
5 Pharès eut deux fils: Hesron et Hamul.
The sons of Perez, Hezron and Hamul.
6 Et les fils de Zara furent Zamri, Ethan, Eman, ainsi que Chalchal et Dara; cinq en tout.
And, the sons of Zerah, Zimri and Ethan, and Heman and Calcol and Dara, all of them, five.
7 Les fils de Charmi: Achar, qui troubla Israël, et pécha par le larcin de l’anathème;
And, the sons of Carmi, Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in a thing devoted.
8 Les fils d’Ethan, Azarias;
And, the sons of Ethan, Azariah.
9 Mais les fils d’Hesron, qui lui naquirent: Jéraméel, Ram, et Calubi.
And, the sons of Hezron, who were born to him, Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Calubai.
10 Or Ram engendra Aminadab; Aminadab engendra Nahasson, prince des fils de Juda.
And, Ram, begat Amminadab, —and, Amminadab, begat Nahshon, leader of the sons of Judah.
11 Nahasson aussi engendra Salma, duquel est né Booz.
And, Nahshon, begat Salma, and, Salma, begat Boaz;
12 Or Booz engendra Obed, qui lui-même engendra Isaï.
and, Boaz, begat Obed, and, Obed, begat Jesse;
13 Mais Isaï engendra son premier-né Eliab; le second, Abinabad; le troisième, Simmaa;
and, Jesse, begat—his firstborn, Eliab, —and Abinadab, the second, and Shimea, the third;
14 Le quatrième, Nathanaël; le cinquième, Raddaï;
Nethanel, the fourth, Raddai, the fifth;
15 Le sixième, Asom; le septième, David;
Ozem, the sixth, David, the seventh.
16 Dont les sœurs furent Sarvia et Abigaïl; les fils de Sarvia, trois: Abisaï, Joab et Asaël.
And, their sisters, were Zeruiah and Abigail, —and, the sons of Zeruiah, Abishai and Joab and Asahel, three,
17 Or Abigaïl enfanta Amasa, dont le père fut Jéther, l’Ismahélite.
And, Abigail, bare Amasa, —and, the father of Amasa, was Jether the Ishmaelite.
18 Or Caleb, fils d’Hesron, prit une femme du nom d’Azuba, dont il engendra Jérioth; et ses fils furent Jaser, Sobab et Ardon.
And, Caleb son of Hezron, begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth, —and, these, were her sons, Jesher and Shobab and Ardon.
19 Mais lorsque Azuba fut morte, Caleb prit pour femme Ephratha, qui lui enfanta Hur.
And Azubah died, —and Caleb took unto him Ephrath, and she bare to him Hur.
20 Or Hur engendra Uri; et Uri engendra Bézéléel.
And, Hur, begat Uri, and, Uri, begat Bezalel.
21 Après cela, Hesron s’unit à la fille de Machir, père de Galaad; et il la prit, lorsqu’il avait soixante ans: elle lui enfanta Ségub.
And, afterward, Hezron went in unto the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead, and he took her when he was sixty years old, —and she bare him Segub.
22 Mais Ségub aussi engendra Jaïr; et il posséda vingt-trois villes dans la terre de Galaad.
And, Segub, begat Jair, —who came to have twenty-three cities, in the land of Gilead;
23 Et Gessur et Aram prirent les villes de Jaïr, et Canath, et ses bourgades, soixante villes. Tous ceux-là étaient les fils de Machir, père de Galaad.
but Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath and the villages thereof, sixty cities. All these, were the sons of Machir, father of Gilead.
24 Mais après qu’Hesron fut mort, Caleb s’unit à Ephratha; Hesron eut encore pour femme Abia, qui lui enfanta Ashur, père de Thécua.
And, after the death of Hezron, Caleb entered Ephrathah, —and, the wife of Hezron, was Abiah, who bare him Ashur, father of Tekoa.
25 Or il naquit des fils à Jéraméel, premier-né d’Hesron: Ram, son premier-né, ensuite Buna, Aram, Asom et Achia.
And the sons of Jerahmeel firstborn of Hezron were, the firstborn, Ram, —and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem [of] Ahijah.
26 Et Jéraméel prit encore une autre femme: Atara, qui fut mère d’Onam.
And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name, was Atarah, —the same, was the mother of Onam.
27 Mais, de plus, les fils de Ram, fils aîné de Jéraméel, furent Moos, Jamin et Achar.
And the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerameel, were, —Maaz and Jamin, and Eker.
28 Or Onam eut pour fils Séméi et Jada. Les fils de Séméi sont Nadab et Abisur.
And the sons of Onam were, Shammai and Jada, —and, the sons of Shammai, Nadab and Abishur.
29 Et le nom de la femme d’Abisur était Abihaïl, laquelle lui enfanta Ahobban et Molid.
And, the name of the wife of Abishur, was Abihail, —and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.
30 Or les fils de Nadab furent Saled et Apphaïm. Quant à Saled, il mourut sans enfants.
And, the sons of Nadab, Seled and Appaim, —but Seled died without sons.
31 Mais le fils d’Apphaïm fut Jési; lequel Jési engendra Sésan. Or Sésan engendra Oholaï.
And, the sons of Appaim, Ishi, and, the sons of Ishi, Sheshan, and, the sons of Sheshan, Ahlai.
32 Et les fils de Jada, frère de Séméi, furent Jéther et Jonathan. Mais Jéther aussi mourut sans enfants.
And, the sons of Jada, brother of Shammai, Jether, and Jonathan, —but Jether died without sons.
33 Or Jonathan engendra Phaleth et Ziza. Voilà quels ont été les fils de Jéraméel.
And the sons of Jonathan, Peleth and Zaza. These, were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34 Pour Sésan, il n’eut point de fils, mais des filles, et un esclave égyptien nommé Jéraa,
Now Sheshan had, no sons, but, daughters, —and, Sheshan, had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha;
35 Et il lui donna sa fille pour femme, laquelle lui enfanta Ethéi.
so Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant, to wife, —and she bare him Attai.
36 Or Ethéi engendra Nathan, et Nathan engendra Zabad.
And, Attai, begat Nathan, and, Nathan, begat Zabad;
37 Zabad aussi engendra Ophlal, et Ophlal engendra Obed.
and, Zabad, begat Ephlal, and, Ephlal, begat Obed;
38 Obed engendra Jéhu, Jéhu engendra Azarias.
and, Obed, begat Jehu, and, Jehu, begat Azariah;
39 Azarias engendra Hellès, et Hellès engendra Elasa.
and, Azariah, begat Helez, and, Helez, begat Eleasah;
40 Elasa engendra Sisamoï; Sisamoï engendra Sellum.
and, Eleasah, begat Sismai, and, Sismai, begat Shallum;
41 Sellum engendra Icamia, mais Icamia engendra Elisama.
and, Shallum, begat Jekamiah, and, Jekamiah, begat Elishama.
42 Or les fils de Caleb, frère de Jéraméel, furent Mésa, son premier-né; c’est le père de Ziph, et les fils de Marésa, père d’Hébron;
Now, the sons of Caleb, brother of Jerahmeel, were, Mesha his firstborn, the same, was the father of Ziph, —and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
43 Et les fils d’Hébron furent Coré, Taphua, Récem et Samma.
And, the sons of Hebron, Korah and Tappuah, and Rekem and Shema.
44 Or Samma engendra Rahani, père de Jercaam, et Récem engendra Sammaï.
And, Shema, begat Raham, the father of Jorkeam, —and, Rekem, begat Shammai.
45 Le fils de Sammaï fut Maon, et Maon fut père de Bethsur.
And, the son of Shammai, was Maon, —and, Maon, was the father of Beth-zur.
46 Or Epha, femme du second rang de Caleb, enfanta Haran, Mosa et Gézez. Et Haran engendra Gézez.
And, Ephah, the concubine of Caleb, bare Haran and Moza, and Gazez, —and, Haran, begat Gazez.
47 Mais les fils de Jahaddaï furent Régom, Joathan, Gésan, Phalet, Epha et Saaph.
And, the sons of Jahdai, Regem and Jotham and Geshan and Pelet, and Ephah and Shaaph.
48 Maacha, femme du second rang de Caleb, enfanta Saber, et Tharana.
A concubine of Caleb, Maacah, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah;
49 Mais Saaph, père de Madména, engendra Sué, père de Machbéna, et père de Gabaa. Or la fille de Caleb fut Achsa,
she also bare Shaaph, father of Madmannah, Sheva, father of Machbena, and father of Gibea, —and, the daughter of Caleb, was Achsah.
50 Voici quels furent les fils de Caleb, fils d’Hur, premier-né d’Ephratha: Sobal, père de Cariathiarim;
These, were the sons of Caleb, sons of Hur, firstborn of Ephrathah, —Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim;
51 Salma, père de Bethléhem; Hariph, père de Bethgader.
Salma, the father of Bethlehem, Hareph, the father of Beth-gader.
52 Or Sobal, père de Cariathiarim, eut des fils. Il voyait la moitié des lieux de repos.
And Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons, —Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth.
53 Et des familles de Cariathiarim sont venus les Jéthréens, les Aphuthéens, les Sémathéens, les Maséréens. C’est d’eux que sont sortis les Saraïtes et les Esthaolites.
And, the families of Kiriath-jearim, were the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites, —from these, came the Zorathites, and the Eshtaolites.
54 Les fils de Salma, Bethléhem et Nétophathi, les Couronnes de la maison de Joab, et la Moitié du lieu de repos de Saraï.
The sons of Salma, were Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Atrothbeth-joab, —and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites;
55 Et les familles des scribes habitant à Jabès, chantant et jouant des instruments, et demeurant dans des tabernacles. Ce sont les Cinéens, qui sont venus de Calor, père de la maison de Réchab.
and the families of scribes who dwelt at Jabez, the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. The same, are the Kenites who came in from Hammath, father of the house of Rechab.
