Psaumes 25
1 De David. O Éternel, j'élève mon âme à toi.
[A Psalm] of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
2 Mon Dieu, je mets en toi ma confiance: Que je ne sois pas couvert de confusion! Que mes ennemis ne se réjouissent pas à mon sujet!
O my God, in thee have I trusted, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 Non, aucun de ceux qui s'attendent à toi Ne sera couvert de honte; Mais ils rougiront tous de honte, Ceux qui se révoltent injustement contre toi.
Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
4 Éternel, fais-moi connaître tes voies; Enseigne-moi tes sentiers!
Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
5 Fais-moi marcher dans la voie de ta vérité, et instruis-moi; Car tu es le Dieu de mon salut: Je m'attends à toi chaque jour.
Guide me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 Éternel, souviens-toi de tes compassions et de tes bontés; Car elles sont de tout temps.
Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7 Ne te souviens pas des fautes de ma jeunesse, ni de mes péchés; Souviens-toi de moi, dans ta bonté, A cause de ta bienveillance, ô Éternel!
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy lovingkindness remember thou me, for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.
8 L'Éternel est bon et droit; C'est pourquoi il montrera le chemin aux pécheurs.
Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he instruct sinners in the way.
9 Il fera marcher les humbles dans la justice; Il enseignera sa voie aux humbles.
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10 Tous les sentiers de l'Éternel ne sont que bonté et fidélité, Pour ceux qui gardent son alliance et ses commandements.
All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 Pour l'amour de ton nom, ô Éternel, Tu pardonneras mon iniquité, bien qu'elle soît grande!
For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.
12 Quel est l'homme qui craint l'Éternel? L'Éternel lui enseignera le chemin qu'il doit choisir.
What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he instruct in the way that he shall choose.
13 Son âme reposera au sein du bonheur. Et sa postérité possédera la terre.
His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the land.
14 Le secret de l'Éternel est pour ceux qui le craignent. Et il leur fait connaître son alliance.
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
15 Mes yeux regardent sans cesse vers l'Éternel; Car il dégagera mes pieds du filet.
Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
16 Tourne-toi vers moi, prends pitié de moi; Car je suis seul et misérable!
Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
17 La détresse de mon coeur augmente: Délivre-moi de mes angoisses!
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
18 Vois ma misère et mon tourment. Et pardonne tous mes péchés!
Consider mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins.
19 Vois combien mes ennemis sont nombreux Et de quelle violente haine ils sont animés contre moi.
Consider mine enemies, for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
20 Garde mon âme et délivre-moi! Que je ne sois pas couvert de honte; Car j'ai cherché un refuge auprès de toi!
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in thee.
21 Que l'intégrité et la droiture me protègent; Car j'ai mis mon espoir en toi!
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait on thee.
22 Dieu, délivre Israël De toutes ses détresses!
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
