1 Jésus parla ainsi; puis, levant les yeux au ciel, il dit: Père, l'heure est venue; glorifie ton Fils, afin que ton Fils te glorifie,

Jesus spoke these words; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, said, Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son, in order that the Son may glorify thee:

2 et que, par le pouvoir que tu lui as donné sur toute créature, il donne la vie éternelle à tous ceux que tu lui as donnés. (aiōnios g166)

as thou didst give Him authority over all flesh, in order that whatsoever thou hast given unto Him, He may give unto them eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

3 Or c'est ici la vie éternelle, qu'ils te connaissent, toi, le seul vrai Dieu, et celui que tu as envoyé, Jésus-Christ. (aiōnios g166)

But this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou didst send. (aiōnios g166)

4 Je t'ai glorifié sur la terre; j'ai achevé l'oeuvre que tu m'avais donnée à faire.

I glorified thee upon the earth, having finished the work that thou hast given to me that I may do it.

5 Et maintenant, toi, Père, glorifie-moi auprès de toi-même de la gloire que j'avais auprès de toi, avant que le monde fût.

And now, Father, glorify thou me with thyself with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

6 J'ai manifesté ton nom aux hommes que tu m'as donnés du milieu du monde; ils étaient à toi! et tu me les as donnés, et ils ont gardé ta parole.

I have manifested thy name, to the men whom thou didst give me out of the world. They were thine, and thou didst give them to me; and they have kept thy word:

7 Maintenant ils ont reconnu que tout ce que tu m'as donné vient de toi.

now they know that all things so many as thou hast given to me are with thee:

8 Car je leur ai donné les paroles que tu m'as données, et ils les ont reçues; ils ont vraiment reconnu que je suis venu de toi, et ils ont cru que c'est toi qui m'as envoyé.

because the words which thou didst give me I have given unto them; and they received them, and they know truly that I came out from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.

9 Je prie pour eux; je ne prie pas pour le monde, mais pour ceux que tu m'as donnés, parce qu'ils sont à toi.

I pray for these: I pray not for the world; but for those whom thou hast given me, because they are thine:

10 Et tout ce qui est à moi est à toi, et ce qui est à toi est à moi, et je suis glorifié en eux.

and all mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I have been glorified in them.

11 Je ne suis plus dans le monde, mais eux sont dans le monde, et moi je vais auprès de toi. Père saint, garde-les! Qu'ils soient fidèles à ton nom, que tu m'as chargé de faire connaître, afin qu'ils soient un comme nous.

And I am no longer in the world, and they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them through my name whom thou hast given unto me, in order that they may be one, as we are.

12 Pendant que j'étais avec eux, je les gardais, et ils étaient fidèles à ton nom que tu m'as chargé de faire connaître. Je les ai préservés, et aucun d'eux ne s'est perdu, sinon le fils de perdition, afin que l'Écriture fût accomplie.

When I was with them, I was keeping them in thy name whom thou hast given unto me. And I guarded them, and no one of them perished, except the son of perdition; that the Scripture may be fulfilled.

13 Mais maintenant je vais auprès de toi, et je dis ces choses, étant encore dans le monde, afin qu'ils aient en eux la plénitude de ma joie.

And now I come to thee; and speak these things in the world, that they may have my joy complete in themselves.

14 Je leur ai donné ta Parole, et le monde les a haïs, parce qu'ils ne sont pas du monde, comme je ne suis pas du monde.

I have given unto them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

15 Je ne te prie pas de les ôter du monde, mais de les préserver du mal.

I do not pray that you may take them out of the world, but that you may keep them from the evil one.

16 Ils ne sont pas du monde, comme je ne suis pas du monde.

They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctifie-les par la vérité; ta Parole est la vérité.

Sanctify them through the truth: thy word is truth.

18 Comme tu m'as envoyé dans le monde, je les ai aussi envoyés dans le monde.

As thou didst send me into the world, I also sent them into the world:

19 Et je me sanctifie moi-même pour eux, afin qu'eux aussi soient sanctifiés par la vérité.

and I sanctify myself in their behalf, in order that they may also be sanctified through the truth.

20 Ce n'est pas seulement pour eux que je prie, mais aussi pour ceux qui croiront en moi par leur parole,

And I not only pray for these, but also for those believing on me through their word;

21 afin que tous soient un, comme toi. Père, tu es en moi, et moi en toi; afin qu'eux aussi soient en nous, pour que le monde croie que c'est toi qui m'as envoyé.

that they may all be one, as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us; that the world may believe that thou didst send me.

22 Je leur ai donné la gloire que tu m'as donnée, afin qu'ils soient un, comme nous sommes un:

And I have given unto them the glory which thou hast given unto me; in order that they may be one, as we are one;

23 moi en eux, et toi en moi, afin qu'ils soient parfaits dans l'unité, et que le monde connaisse que c'est toi qui m'as envoyé, et que tu les as aimés comme tu m'as aimé.

I in them, and thou in me, in order that they may be perfected into one; in order that the world may know that thou didst send me, and didst love them, as thou didst love me.

24 Père, je veux que là où je suis, ceux que tu m'as donnés y soient aussi avec moi, afin qu'ils contemplent ma gloire, la gloire que tu m'as donnée, parce que tu m'as aimé avant la création du monde.

Father, that which thou hast given unto me, I wish that they may also be with me, where I am, in order that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given unto me: because thou didst love me before the foundation of the world.

25 Père juste, le monde ne t'a pas connu; mais moi, je t'ai connu, et ceux-ci ont reconnu que c'est toi qui m'as envoyé.

Righteous Father, indeed the world does not know thee, but I know thee, and they know that thou didst send me;

26 Je leur ai fait connaître ton nom, et je le leur ferai connaître, afin que l'amour dont tu m'as aimé soit en eux, et que je sois moi-même en eux.

I made known thy name to them, and will make it known; in order that the love with which thou didst love me may be in them, and I in them.
