Apocalypse 11
1 Et on me donna une mesure de la forme d'un bâton et on me dit: «Lève-toi et mesure le Temple de Dieu, et l'autel, et l'espace occupé par ceux qui adorent dans le Temple.
AND there was given me a cane like a measuring staff; and the angel stood by, saying, Arise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship therein.
2 Et la cour extérieure du Temple, n'en tiens pas compte, et ne la mesure point, car elle a été donnée aux païens, et ils fouleront aux pieds la ville sainte pendant quarante-deux mois.
But the exterior court of the temple leave out, and measure it not; because it is given to the Gentiles: and they shall trample under foot the holy city forty-two months.
3 Et je donnerai une mission à mes deux témoins qui prophétiseront pendant douze cent soixante jours, revêtus de sac.»
And I will give charge to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 Ils sont «les deux oliviers» et les deux chandeliers «debout devant le Seigneur de la terre»;
These are the two olive trees, and the two lamps which stand before the face of the God of the earth.
5 et si quelqu'un essaye de leur faire du mal, un feu sort de leur bouche et dévore leurs ennemis; oui, si quelqu'un essaye de leur faire du mal, c'est ainsi qu'il doit périr.
And if any person attempts to hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any person attempts to injure them, he must thus be slain.
6 Ils ont le pouvoir de fermer le ciel, et d'empêcher la pluie de tomber les jours où ils prophétisent; et ils ont le pouvoir de changer l'eau en sang, et de frapper la terre de telle ou telle plaie et aussi souvent qu'ils le voudront.
These have power to shut up the heaven, that no rain water the earth during the days of their prophecy: and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they will.
7 Et quand ils auront fini de rendre leur témoignage, la bête qui monte de l'abîme leur fera la guerre, les vaincra et les tuera; (Abyssos g12)
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast which ascendeth out of hell shall make war with them, and shall overcome them, and put them to death. (Abyssos g12)
8 et leurs corps resteront sur la place de la grande ville qui s'appelle symboliquement «Sodome», et «Égypte» et où leur Seigneur a été crucifié.
And their corpses shall be exposed in the streets of the great city, which is called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 Et des gens de tout peuple, de toute tribu, de toute langue et de toute race verront leurs corps pendant trois jours et demi, et ils ne permettront pas qu'on donne à ces corps la sépulture.
And they of the people and tribes and tongues and nations will look upon their corpses three days and half, and they will not permit their corpses to be laid in sepulchres.
10 Et les habitants de la terre seront dans la joie de leur mort, ils s'adresseront des félicitations, et s'enverront des présents, parce que ces deux prophètes ont fait le tourment des habitants de la terre.
And the dwellers upon earth will rejoice over them, and be very glad, and will send gifts to each other; because these two prophets were a torment to those who dwell on the earth.
11 Mais, au bout de trois jours et demi, l'Esprit de vie venu de Dieu entra en eux, ils se retrouvèrent sur leurs pieds, et une grande terreur saisit ceux qui les virent.
And after three days and half, the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood up on their feet; and great terror fell on those who beheld them.
12 Et j'entendis une grande voix venant du ciel et leur disant: «Montez ici»; et ils montèrent au ciel sur les nues, à la vue de leurs ennemis.
And they heard a great voice out of heaven, saying unto them, Ascend up hither. And they ascended into heaven in a cloud: and their enemies beheld them.
13 Un terrible tremblement de terre se fit en ce moment, et le dixième de la ville tomba, et sept mille hommes périrent dans ce tremblement, et les autres, effrayés, rendirent gloire au Dieu du ciel.
And in the same hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and there were slain in the earthquake seven thousand men of note: and the rest were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 Le second «malheur» est passé; voici venir bientôt le troisième.
The second woe is past; behold the third woe is coming quickly.
15 Et le septième ange sonna: et il y eut de grandes voix dans le ciel qui disaient: «Le Royaume du monde est remis à notre Seigneur et à son Christ, et il régnera aux siècles des siècles.» (aiōn g165)
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of the world are become our Lord’s, and his Messiah’s, and he shall reign for ever and ever. (aiōn g165)
16 Et les vingt-quatre vieillards, assis devant Dieu sur leurs trônes, tombèrent sur la face et adorèrent Dieu,
And the four and twenty presbyters, who were seated before God upon their thrones, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 disant: «Nous te rendons grâces «Seigneur Dieu Tout-Puissant», qui es et qui as été, de ce que tu t'es emparé de ton grand pouvoir et as inauguré ta Royauté;
saying, We give thanks to thee, Lord the Almighty God, who is and who was, and who is coming, because thou hast assumed thy great power, and hast set up the throne of thy kingdom.
18 et les nations étaient en fureur, mais ta colère est venue; et il est venu le moment de juger les morts et de donner leur récompense à tes serviteurs; , les prophètes, et aux saints, et à ceux qui craignent ton nom, aux petits et aux grands, et de perdre ceux qui perdent la terre.»
Though the nations were incensed, yet thy wrath came, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to all who fear thy name, to the small and to the great; and to destroy those who have destroyed the earth.
19 Alors s'ouvrit le Temple de Dieu dans le ciel, et on aperçut l'arche de l'Alliance dans son Temple, et il y eut des éclairs et des voix, et des coups de tonnerre, et un grand ébranlement, et une forte grêle.
And the temple of God was opened in the heaven, and there appeared the ark of his covenant in his temple: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and earthquake, and a great hail.
